South Africa's batting performance today looks like they are batting in most desperation and under a lot of pressure. While South Africa won their first two matches by huge margins that too with strong teams. There today with a team like Netherlands, South Africa lost 4 wickets in just 12 overs which is really sad for the team. The South African batsmen have been so poor that where they have scored centuries in other matches, they have been dismissed quickly today. The target given by the Netherlands is probably under a lot of pressure to meet them, if South Africa cannot sustain their pair in today's match, they will surely lose. There is still time if the South African batsmen can hold on to the game and win. But the bowling performances of the Netherlands in today's match are extraordinary due to which the South African batsmen are not able to survive at the crease. However, it is very difficult to predict which team will win today's match as there is enough fight between the two teams at the moment, so it is not possible to predict which team will win today.

LOL.. this is just crazy. South Africa are struggling at 44/4 after 11.4 overs. Netherlands set up a target of 246 BTW (from 43 overs). South Africa had started well and they were 36/0. For 8 runs they managed to lose 4 wickets, with Paul van Meekeren and Roelof van der Merwe picking up the wickets. BTW, the required run rate has crept up to 6.5 runs per over. There is still a lot of depth in South African batting order, with Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller out there, and Marco Jansen yet to come. But if they lose one more wicket, then they will be in trouble.

The Netherlands batters did well to come back into the game, but that does not mean their bowlers will be able to defend a target of 246. Considering the form South African batters are in, it would be easy for them to chase. Take a look at the current scoreboard, the South African batters are already galloping toward the target with a run rate of 4.22, and the asking run rate is 5.90. Initial overs are meant to understand the pitch and then utilize batting skills to achieve the goal. I don't think the Netherlands would be able to defeat the South African team.

They were 43/3 at one stage, they are now 201/7 which is a good comeback by Netherlands. Scott Edwards as a captain took the responsibility and scored 64 runs. He got his first half-century in the World Cup, and he might get his first century but on the other side, wickets are falling down. The Netherlands still have 10 overs left for them to bat but I doubt they would be able to play them. South Africa was the favorite to win today before the match started.

At the end of 43 overs, the Netherlands reached a better level, their total was 245 runs at the end of 43 overs. The innings break is now underway, after the innings break ends the South African batsmen will chase down the target of 246 runs. South Africa is a big team and they expect to win against Netherlands but as a small team if they win a match then it would be as happy as they win the World Cup so I want Netherlands bowlers to bowl well and they win this match against South Africa.

After rain stop, South Africa won toss and elected bowl first. Netherlands start not to much good and their batsman fall down quickly. Now batting of Netherlands team ended and they scored 245 runs in 43 overs by losing 8 wickets. 7 overs has been reduced due to interrupted of rain and now South Africa will chase down this normal target of 246 runs target in 43 overs. I think this not a big challenge for South Africa team to chase down this target. Beginning of match, starter players of Netherlands team played worst. At 95 runs, Netherlands lost their 5 wickets and 25 overs had been also passed. I thought that their all players dismissed at 150 to 170 runs. But this was not happen. Scott Edward performance was brilliant he scored 78 runs in 69 balls and he hitted ten 4s and one 6s. Now let's see South Africa team will chase down this target or not? I think they will easily chase it in 30 overs.

This is some recovery by the Netherlands. They played exceptionally well and set a target of 246 runs to SA. At one stage, they were 112/6 in 27 overs, and I was expecting a target of below 200 after 43 overs, but their lower order played brilliantly, especially Edwards for his 78 runs. Well.. I had posted this a few days back. A lot of questions are still not answered. It is good news that T20 cricket has been finally included in the Olympics. But at the same time, there is a lot of confusion related to number of participants and qualification. The ICC wants a 5 or 6 team event, which may not be acceptable for the IOC. Also, the ICC doesn't want any qualification system and they just want teams to be picked based on the flawed ranking system. In the end, some sort of compromise will be worked out between ICC and IOC. But until then, there will be a lot of uncertainty.

Team's like SL, Aus don't seem to have passion for the world cup, in yesterday's match so many shots were left to reach the boundaries when they could have been easily been saved. Dunno if they do this because there is no crowd supporting them or what.

This WC we will see different champion than SL, AUS for sure. India is passionate as usual, aside from them I find NZ and SA to be top contenders who have thirst, plus means as well.
