I don't invest in ICOs now, because it is very risky. The market is unstable and this negatively affects new projects. I liked to invest in ICOs at a time when the market was moving up (until Jan-Feb of 2018). It was a golden time and I hope that this will happen again.

Never look at price of coins, consider their market cap, a 0.0001 coin can be worth more than a 1 dollar coin if you take market cap into consideration

How often does the price get lower than the ICO price when a new coin is listed on its first exchange house ?

Very often! I have been able to perceive the following among the ICOs that I joined: Some people prefer to buy tokens in the first exchange than to buy them in ICO. Something is happening, "Market situation or other inconvenient" if it continues like this there will be ICO where some of them will lose interest in buying their tokens.

As well, I have observed that an ICO will try to protect the investors for losses in their investments offering them insurance for the investment of their tokens.

Almost all the coins that was listed on the exchange are now significantly reduced in price. This suggests that it all depends on the market situation.
yes i dont know why many coins are down after entering markets
maybe they need some times to grow and reach ATM. but not all coins can grow
Back into previous years where most coins do hit up on exchangers they do usually reach out 2x or even more on its prices where ICO investors are really very profitable back into those days which is unlike now on the current situation where i do always see that most project being listed would always go below on ICO prices and the worst it would go even more lower compared to its pre-sale value which means ico investment is more riskier compared into those days on where its just hyping.

It is better to buy coins already on the stock exchange than to participate in the ICO! Recently, the stock price is lower than the price of the ICO. Most likely this is due to the general fall of the crypto-currency market.

You need to better analyze projects. I suggest you consider Eloncity. The team seeks to make energy more inexpensive, it's a good idea. To participate in the ico you need to pass the verification on the platform

There is no such a rule you can follow; each ICO has its own properties and future. The best recommendation I think its to try to understand the probability of success of the proyect, maybe it will bullyish or bearish in the markets, in the end, who knows...

In the current conditions I buy after ICO. But for long-term only. For flip such strategy is a fail. Because some coins pump first then slow go down. And their price is below ICO often.

Normally buying coins during their ICO stage is much more profitable because they are very cheap in ICO stage and it has some extra beneficials like bonus coins. On the other hand investing in ICO is a little risky because it may not succed and you could end up putting your money in a dead project so it's sometimes better to wait untill a coin hits exchange before buying it. You may buy it little more expensive that way but you can be sure coin will have bright future.

Buying as soon as possible is the most profitable way, during pre-icos they usually offer a nice bonus for participants so the profit is much higher when you join in this stage. But if you dont like to risk you can wait for the ICO to end and for the token to be released on an exchange. Usually after that happens bounty participants start selling their tokens which drives the price down so you can get your tokens cheaper and also make sure that the project is legit.

If you think ICO is giving you the best offer and it is promising I think better to participate in ICO than buy the coin in exchange. I also doubt that the price of a new coin will immediately dump without surpassing the ICO price first.

It depends on your choice. Everything has two sides. if you buy at ICO date, you can buy with bonus and can earn devidend when the product is made. However you must accept more risk. If you dont wanna accept risk, you can buy in the exchange
It depends on our investment period too because many ICO investors are just short term investors so they will sell when the token listed on exchange so if your intention is to hold it lomg term then you can just buy at the exchange for more cheaper than the ICO price.

I invested earlier into ICOs, but now I wait until it shows on exchange and I try to catch the first few hours on it, the reason is simple - people don't know in general what price they should set, sometimes it's ICO price, but many times I met that it was under the price. Very good advantage.

In this market it's not a good idea to buy at ico price at all, most of them at the very least will be 1/2-1/3 of ico price when they come to exchanges

Should buy in the early days of the ICO, as during this time, the ICO program will have more incentives for buyers, they often reward 50% for those who invest in them. And that's about your huge profit margin.

market is really bad to jump into any ICO now. So you should buy any at very good bargain haha maybe 2 or 3 times less than price in ICO
This is good advice. I also think so, and it is understandable that why risk it if you can just buy a profitable coin on the bottom of the market.

How often does the price get lower than the ICO price when a new coin is listed on its first exchange house ?

How come there are coins that are worth like 0.0004 $, usually during an ICO one coin is sold in the range of 1$ or not ?

Do some "coins" skip the ICO stage ?

I think it's better to buy coins when the coins are already on the exchange. Because if it is already on the exchange we can see the actual price and we can determine whether the ICO coin is feasible to have or not.
