In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.
I was asking myself what to do when cryptocurrency goes down and found out that the most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are on exchanges right now, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/
Or even better go through their Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/future-of-privacy-ethereum-meta-foundation-of-anonymous-e-marketplace-2659058

If you like the crypto project, and you think that it has good prospects, it is better to purchase coins in the pre-sale, when they give a bonus.

I think buying in the ICO is always good because we will be getting more bonus and the thing here is we have to find the potential about the project. Research it before investing once after listing in the exchanges the price will go down even lower value.

Well, i think that most people do not care much about this, but buying on exchanges is sometimes much more cheaper than buying on the ico period because of the dump of airdrops

There are some coins that are full of pump and dumps, that is the main reason of why there are a lot of peopel buying later at exchange. But to be serious, buying during the ICO period is much more better and profitable

In my opinion, it is really hard to make an exact prediction about the succcess or a failure of an ICO. For me, doing researches sometimes doesn't enough, you should have luck also.

For me, top coins are better than ICOs.

How often does the price get lower than the ICO price when a new coin is listed on its first exchange house ?

How come there are coins that are worth like 0.0004 $, usually during an ICO one coin is sold in the range of 1$ or not ?

Do some "coins" skip the ICO stage ?

Depends partly on the overall market trend - if the whole market drops since an ICO takes place, then the $ value of the token will fall below its fiat ICO price but maybe not below its BTC/ETH ICO price.
Another thing to consider is volumes - if a new coin is only listed on very minor exchanges and is only trading very low volumes, then the listed price may not be realistic - eg you can't buy $1,000 worth of the coin if there are only a couple of sell orders totalling $500.

I think buying coins when ico is more profitable because you will get some bonus tokens.
while when the coin enter your exchanger will not get any bonus.
Yes, that is true. I do the same thing as you say. I always buy coins while ICO is underway and I get a lot of bonuses when buying the coins. The most important coin I bought on ICO is a coin that has good prospects for the future. So I will not regret having bought it.

ICO is choice to go. Because you can easily double your money in a month or two. Bounties are also given on ico phases so you can also make money that way freely. Exchange buying is very risky..

Yes, I agree with you. Buying coins when ICO can indeed earn multiple profits because it gets a lot of bonuses. Especially if the ICO coins that we buy have good quality if held perpetually. Surely we will get a lot of benefits from the ICO coins we buy.

The trend since Jan 2018 is obvious, buying from an exchange is better. But do take note it takes time for an ICO coin to list on the exchange. The current sentiment might shift , so thats possibility the situation would change, some really strong ICO tokens now could hit higher if the timing coincides with the bull run.

We are looking at the lacklustre crypto market spooking many crypto investors, and many are looking to buy into established altcoins. Hence the compete for funds that is shrinking had been so intense in the cryptoverse now. But in general, the fundamental of crypto is still very positive. The starting of stocks bear run will entice investors looking at crypto.

you should buy in ICO stage if the project is good
but, you must have enough knowledge about that
because at this moment a lot of ICO project down after hit an exchange and make the price below the ICO price  Wink

there is a simple math on this topic. Check the token allocation and if the bounty pool is around 3-10% than its time to wait for bounty hunters dump.
But if the bounty pools is less then 3% you will never see dumpers around. You have to buy from ICO
Its my simple math.

Exactly. Investors are afraid to buy in ico when they see the allocation is high so some are just waiting to gets listed. But for me, I don't mind the discount as I always see that the price is below the ico price and don't even touch the ico price so basically it's a loss for us. I don't lost my trust in icos but we all have to play safe in everything, money talks always.

There are good and bad things in ICO or new coins,
Good thing is you could buy them with some bonus in their ICO and maybe at a cheaper price,
But sometimes it is good to buy them on exchange or trading site because there are times that they couldn't make it to their ICO price.

ico or buy late after the transaction is determined by yourself after you have carefully calculated the terms as well as the value they bring you usually those who get them low they are not enough to brighten the market should sell however, its price is lower than the market price

buy at this time would be very beneficial because it got discount and bonus. even though so many people doubtful and still afraid of whether ICO can be successful or not. but it took the analysis also to be able to ascertain whether the ICO deserves to be invested or not. Indeed when it makes the exchange of some of the prices began to fall, but just wait for it and the price will be back up.

when you buy tokens when ICO then you will buy tokens with ICO prices but you will get a bonus at the time of purchase. if you buy token at the time of entry exchange you can buy the price of tiken below ICO price but can not get bonus

This depends on a few things. If you really believe in the long-term prospects of a project then investing at ICO-stage makes sense.
However, in uncertain market conditions, you might want to wait it out to see how it plays out and then take a decision.

I have seen somewhere that most ICOs during 2017 are currently trading at 1/3 of the ICO price. IMO there won't be quick gain anymore with ICOs because the market seems stable lately and real projects take time to establish well. Whatever the case, personally, I prefer buying later on exchange because of more complete information available.
