If you invest in ICO in such a market, I think it is better to wait for the exchanges, since the token price drops significantly when entering the exchange.

I prefer when they are still in pre-ICO stage, because they give us a pretty big bonus tokens .. But a lot of tokens when it comes to market price will go down, and that's fair because the bounty hunter sells their token a lot.
But I still choose to buy when in the ICO stage.

buy from ico has a potential risk. most of devs opens pre-ico or pre-sale to whales or angels with bigger extra bonuses.
However, ICO offers a great discount and even extra bonuses thus buying at this earlier stage is quite profitable but even though it is actually riskier as one can't estimate the success of the project at this instant without a proper investigation. But if you are not sure about the success of the ICO, then the best option is to wait for the coin to be listed at the exchange as it reduces the risk chances for your investment since many of the ICOs nowadays are nothing but a scam...

This is quite difficult to answer because both decision can be profitable. We know that ICO in its early sale have many big bonuses which if it's successful can grant us a big profit. What is good in buying coins in exchanges is that we can guarantee that it's already have a value but there's no more bonuses.

Some ico coins are getting cheaper on exchanges. But some of the ico coins are making great price boom and you can't buy them with cheap rates in the market. You always have trouble in this. So never be late for trusted icos.

The benefit of waiting until it hits the exchanges is that it will have proven to be a legitimate project. Some ICOs disappear part way through after taking their investors money. However ICO is a cheap price so you have to do a lot of research prior to investing

Well in ICO you will get mostly presale bonus and that is sweet. Tongue But it is not unusual that some coins would have big dump after hitting exchange but on the other hands, some will never go lower than ICO prico, so it is hard to say in general.

there's no one rules to say it will drop or not . maybe price hit 3x then you will regret not investing in ico . also,it may rise then dumB hard after hitting good target . it's free market .you can't just anticipate it .

You can't really tell what is best because i already had an experience before were the price drop after ICO. However,  the high percentage of profit is with ICO so i still recommend this but if you like to be on the safer side buy after.

This is an interesting question, and every answer to it is subjective.  It all depends on your expectations and expectations of the deposit.  As for me, you always have to support what you believe.  To find something reliable with qualitative values.  I'm about ICO in particular.  For me, Paytomat is a good option, really fulfilling a mission of my own, but my opinion may remain with me.  Read them on the telegrams of the chat, if suddenly interested

This is a very difficult answer to give, one it depend on the exchange the token is going to be listed on, if it is listed on DEx then the price is likely going to dump because of lack of volume to sustain the price, but there are some projects that one just need to buy from ICO because the hype is very high

It is much more profitable to buy a coin after ISO, when it appears on the stock exchange. The price may be several times smaller.

Some would stay low for months and some projects would just shoot up in price upon hitting the exchanges because when a project has a really big potential and some investors cannot invest because they are from a country restricted in joining ICOs then they would buy the coin when it is on exchanges that's why price would go high in just a few days or weeks. There are some projects though who are late bloomers and it takes some time for them before surpassing the ICO price.

It depends on the coin if I really like their project and I think they would have a great price in the future then qhy would I wait for it on a trading site,
I think it is better to buy them at an ICO since they have some bonus and the peice could be cheap in their ICO price.

How often does the price get lower than the ICO price when a new coin is listed on its first exchange house ?

How come there are coins that are worth like 0.0004 $, usually during an ICO one coin is sold in the range of 1$ or not ?

Do some "coins" skip the ICO stage ?

I think its price will depend on the quality of the ICO project. Because of a good project, many trading floors will accept trading on that floor. That will increase the cost of altcoin.
If the project is not good, bad ideas and inexperienced staff, it will be considered a waste coin and will have no development potential.

I say it depends, If a project has a product that is likely to attract some powerful players its best to buy from ICO as prices might be the cheapest you will ever get to see and waiting for an exchange would mean buying the coins at an expensive price.

Then for projects that have a half chance of succeeding i would gamble to buy from exchange as there might be dumpers spree which you could get extra cheap coins all for a couple of dollars Tongue

It depends. More often the price drops after ICO, because many people who participated in bounties sell cheap.

Buying in ICO stage or even better in its pre-sale stage can provide extra bonuses and discounted prices. This works for hot ICOs provided one can join the whitelist early. Some not hot ICOs may even trade lower than ICO prices on exchanges for some days during weak market periods. Overall buying in ICO is usually better.
