It was pretty easy to get huge profits from the ICO investments during the whole 2017. The market was in uptrend and almost every ICO has achieved their funding goals. Nowadays, it is almost impossible to find a good project that will benefit you after the token sale.
I see ico 2017 far more successful than ico 2018, this is because ico in 2017 prioritizes success and doesn't delay entering the exchange. different from now ico is delaying entering the exchange and that makes investors avoid investing in ico and affect success.
This is the result of the panic effect, investors who hold tokens are afraid of the rapid decline of the market and sell ICO tokens, and hunters have abandoned their plans because of the pursuit of stable income!
At the 2017 years we got many ico investment almost success and could get much profit if become an investor at ico project, but I don't know why bad situation at 2018 year where many ico investment have scam and not good for take part for investment.
Yes, I agree with your opinion that it is currently not easy to find a good ICO project. Complex checks need to be done before investing or simply participating in the bounty to avoid any risks including loss.
On some coins, the price flies up several times, then falls to the price of the sale of ICO and in a few months exceeds the surge after the release of coins to the market.
If there is no value in the idea, product, business, or people behind it, there is no bottom that's not zero. Ultimately most of this stuff is either misguided garbage or outright scams.
2017 is the best year in all crypto users. this time has a profitable year to make a huge investment. unlike this year, we straggle like a super typhoon, there are more calamities on breaking down the market price. casualties in all ICO's that are totally shut down or not being listed on the market.

Most of the ICO that is launced in 2017 they become successful while in the 2018 most of the ICO are scam or failed project and only few right now is become successful and most of them once they listed to the marke the price is very low.
no they are not the same at all, 2017 was the year i invested in ICOs and enjoyed it. but in 2018 there are so many scam projects thats scares me off investing
Yes, many people experienced with and never got paid after ICO, now they are turned off from ICOs in 2018 after they were attracted to this opportunity in 2017. Maybe something will change next year.
For me ICO's in the year 2017 is very profitable when you invest in the ICO in that time, because at that time I invest one ICO and my investment got so much huge profit because of that ICO. But now I invest so many ICO but only few of them give me profit a little profit and some of it are scam ICO.

I have found that all the ICOs i have invested in have launched at almost the ICO price but in a few days dipped below the ICO prices by half or 5X for some.
With this i have discovered its better not to invest in an ICO but wait for the launch and the DIP to buy it at the corrected prices made by market forces.
Its just too hard to tell the real or recommended value of a token in an ICO these days.

It can be a good idea to skip the ICO, but it all depends of the project. If the project is really good, it can have a totally different outcome and you might miss out on it when waiting for too long.
nothing is same with 2017 my friend. 2017 was a really brilliant year for all cryptocurrency adapters. but i dont think it is going to be worse. i honestly believe that it will start to become better soon.
Now with so many scams and bear market , I do not understand how people still invest in ICO projects , because the risk has become even greater and if the project is successful then the token will still cost a penny.

That is the scenario now if the project is good people just wait for the coin to land in the market, so those early birds with huge bonuses and bounty hunters can dump and those whales can take hold of it in a much cheaper price and sell it at a profit in the future.
There are many ICOs out there which don't have enough investors or are not strongly supported as they were in 2017 so it is normal to be lower now.
This is very true. ICO investing in 2017 is not as good as the same ico investing in 2018, 2018 has so many scam ICO projects that claim they have reached softcap in order to lure more investors. The truth right now is that much people do not buy ICOs anymore and it is gradually becoming a big problem to everyone

Actually this year there has been an increase, but also the quality and products are increasingly unclear. Projeck development is also unclear. this year there are more aspects of the concept but garbage quality
