I have not known so far any such kind of dead coin that has been abandoned for so long. Talking about such dead coin, I have recently found out a coin named WeAreSatoshi coin that was dead and revived by new team. But later on that coin turned out to be a scam. So I want to ask people involving in cryptocurrency to stay alert.

google "atlcoin graveyard" and you will find thousands of them Wink

nothing! they are dead and gone. you can't revive something that is dead, not to mention that it died because it was a useless shitcoin that nobody wanted to have around so it had no reason to even exist in first place.

there is no way unless they are dead but still listed on at least one exchange. something like being listed on Yobit! then you can simply spend money and take the risks of pumping that shitcoin if you know how to pump. but that would be a stupid move.

There was a coin over at poloniex ages ago (coinsource? or a similar name) that did a 1-1 swap for dead coins. And unlike a lot of 'cleanup' coins, a working wallet wasn't a requirement. Instead they accepted a screenshot of a wallet, with a general limit on how much would be given out -- as otherwise folks would fake it and abuse the giveaway.

[/quote]

Could you give me more info about this? How they did the swap and where?

My dead crypto is motocoin. It still has some market value, and it is pretty high (0.02$). It is still listed on two exchanges (DigitalPrice and YoBit) but you can't deposit it. I would be happy to sell it even for half the price.

there is always a reason why a coin is dead... why should a useless coin be worth something? the best is to accept your loss and move on and... its better than overthink this shit Wink

Not necessarily useless. Perhaps it was just an experiment (testing of technologies) or just the developer has no more time or opportunity to deal with their project. In this case, you can try to contact him and ask him to pass the source code of the project to other interested developers.

yeah you can for sure. but the project wont be magically worth anything. a new developer has to gain trust and show some work. otherwise it will not change anything. i felt for those shit a few times. i moved on and and forgot about this shit. better to think of some other things than how to make money from worthless shit Smiley

I don't know most of them but AFAIK it's all compiled and there's a website that's dedicated to list all of those dead altcoins including the reasons of their death.

What are the possibilities for crypto currencies that almost can't be exchanged any more?
Small chance but there's almost none.

Don't disturb the dead, remove your interest to them already.

I have seen situations where a dead coin was made active again by the community members.  One or more of the community member organizes a community take over from the old dev, then get a new dev and team members and the swap old coins to a new one, blockchain and new wallet.

Just choose bitcoin, bitcoin will make you comfortable although its price goes down drastically. You may know when bitcoin price touch ATH $20.000 but it's just a moment because its price back to down and touch $3200 last year. But now, its price come back to up again and touch $13.000 in a few weeks which is mean bitcoin still have a chance to recover your money when you lost it. I haven't found in the altcoin for this matter even in ETH.

Cryptocurrencies that do not has been left out by developers due to multiple reasons do not have any value or possibility to have one as there is no demand for it. You can try your luck in decentralized exchanges but I highly doubt that you will find any reasonable price for dead tokens.

Just abandoned that token and look for other good opportunities. You can’t do anything to gain profit on no value token because its totally useless. If the team doesn’t succeed on making it more valuable then i guess its already a shitcoin and a failed project, dead coins means nothing don’t expect anymore.

So far I know that a dead coin happens when it has no volume to be traded again on all exchanges.  The charts are dropping and stop in one point.  There is no buyer and seller trasaction for the coins and then it has no value again. The team is also only silent and no further correction happening. It better to avoid this kind of coin and ignore them.

I know a lot of dead currencies. Lira, SAQ, Saq and many others. For a while, I thought there was nothing I could do about those coins. But now when the whole market raises its price in the Wake of bitcoin, I saw a small increase in the price of these coins. I really want to believe that I can make a profit. I don't want to change these coins at a bad rate.

As a person can you buy a token with no value, no developer, no roadmap? The answer is know, it's high time you forget about they exist. Look a valuable coin to hold. It's a garbage holding them in your wallet.

it will be hard to exchange dead coin and almost impossible. if the coin was abandoned and no developer if not listed in exchange or no one will revive the coin it will be impossible to trade or for someone to buy it.

What dead crypto currencies do you know?
There are 41 dead coins listed on this site https://nomics.com but I believe there should be more than that.

What are the possibilities for crypto currencies that almost can't be exchanged any more?
Remote chance to recover. It can only happen if the community takes over abandoned projects. I no longer have any update on Ember but I know some EMB holders stepped up to revive that coin.

Do you have any ideas how to make money on big amounts of abandoned cryptos?
Only if you can fool someone that it's worth something, but don't ever do that.

I looked at some of my ETH addresses. There are a lot of dead tokens. You can view the spreadsheets of any bounty. Some addresses will have many shittokens.

Probably one possibility: you can buy such assets very cheaply. Of course, if these are traded somewhere.

It is very risky. However, you can buy these assets and wait for the pumps. Those coins that will survive by the time of the next hype, can give Xs.

Besides pump and dump owners of dead coins can sell supply to someone else in order to avoid creating new smart contract and so on, so new project can be created based on dead crypto.

I doubt that they are useful for something, except to try to trade them or send them to wallets. Maybe someday their pampanut and make money, but there is no sense in them. I do not recommend messing with them,  is  to invest and hold prospective coins.
