There are a lot of types of dead coins for example; some with abandoned project/team, some of them are dead because of no trading or delisting from all exchanges, some coins are dead due to exit scaming and some of them just never got going like many airdrop tokens we can also call them fake coins/tokens. I do not see any opportunity to make profit out of such coins in any straightforward or ethical way out there. So only option we have is to accept the loss and move on.

What dead crypto currencies do you know?

What are the possibilities for crypto currencies that almost can't be exchanged any more?

Do you have any ideas how to make money on big amounts of abandoned cryptos?

I think there is no solution to this problem, only the one who can answer is the developer of the coin. The solution lies in those who develop coins. Do they want to develop further or not. Because if you sell no one buys, or someone buys at a low price. I think selling at a low price will be better than holding you without meaning.

Yeah and actually even investors can answer it, as you can see a coin/token that even if it is dead if you can see that the developer is working and the team is constantly updating the community, so for me, there's nothing to worry about yet, maybe it's just too early to judge, we can only say that they are dead crypto if we will see that the team has abandoned it.

I think the crypto team at the moment prefers developing new ones rather than reviving existing ones. We can see that there is a similar team in the new project.

We can only sell at the lowest price, because a dead crypto is difficult for investors to buy again. Moreover, the team no longer developed the project. They have left the project without taking responsibility for the coins circulating in exchange. This often happens. So we can invest in projects that have a clear vision.

Tons of dead coins are on the internet, if you need the list just use google search and no one has a solution for dead coins, they aren't coming back to life so its better to ignore or abandoned then and move on with your life

The coin that died because of the development could not make the coin still have confidence in the market. and to make the coins come back to life will be very difficult because from the level of trust they have lost a lot of trust from the community and I think to make a coin that dies alive again will be difficult to happen
In my opinion also reviving a dead coin is not a good idea and instead has a big risk. And it can also be said that a dead coin has lost the trust of many people and to turn it into I think it is futile and the developers will also prefer to make a new project rather than trying to revive a dead coin because they think it will be easier to attract investors with new projects that have better ideas to attract investors.

The large number of abandoned cryptocurrencies needs to be cared for and developed to enable investors to make a profit, as well as to restore this forgotten potential market.

Given the current bad situation in the cryptocurrency market, I think even ICOs or IEOs will hardly stand, one day it may die unexpectedly. New coins have died a lot, including good ones.

A dead coin have no second chance, even if another dev take over it's not going anywhere, dead coins are to be abandoned and move on, honestly it's better to be careful when choosing coins instead of ending with dead projects

Over at BETTA we've built an ETH-based P2P pooled bets platform, that has some nice risk-enhanced features to facilitate in-play betting.

We were kicking around an idea this week for creating a spin-off of our main smart contract which, instead of accepting ETH, will accept any Ethereum-based tokens sent to it. As winnings are distributed according to our risk-enhanced pooled bets model, there is no need to ascertain token values, or the value of tokens relative to any other tokens staked - anything that is sat in the pool will be distributed proportionately, per every winning player's risk-enhanced stake. While this might not suddenly make any of your "dead" tokens/coins worth anything it is, at least, a way to have a bit of fun with what you have and, perhaps, allow communities of bag holders the opportunity to organise and run contests among themselves. You never know, in winning you might receive a handful of tokens for a "dead" project which suddenly revives itself?!

As BETTA is free to use (all fees are paid from the winning pool, prior to distribution), then there really is not all that much in it for us, other than as a way to attract users to our platform by giving them something to do with their worthless tokens.

We would be interested to hear if anyone might have an appetite for this sort of thing, or if anyone can think of any enhancements to it.

Feel free to check out our Medium channel for some more in-depth articles about what it is we are trying to do, in general, for P2P blockchain sports betting.

Unless you are into pump and dumps (which are shady, and in some jurisdictions probably not compliant to regulations), no.

A see a lot of dead coins with no market or very little liquidity within the market being pumped up through telegram pump groups. That is really the only way that you can profit off of it, and even then your profits won't be that sizable compared to a simple well timed trade in the derivatives market or something like that.

At the end of the day just don't dabble in dead cryptos. Simple as that.

I was mining in 2017. There was a project called Musicoin. It offered a very good chance of income. Ethereum mining was very popular at the time. Then the price fell a lot. The ethereum is still on the market. A project falling from $ 1400 is now $ 120. Do you think the ethereum is standing? Joke joke I think it will rise again because it is still standing.

This is a risk thing to do, one can only buy such coins unless there's trace of team having plans and another is luck, buying dead coins is a risk because it maybe a project from scammers. So buying dead coin is a big risk.

A lot of dead coins I knew because I was hold right now.
We can start at CRYOGEN which don't want to have exchange since from the start. Staker which is good at first then later on it died as well. AFT and other agricultural tech died so I red flag those in relation with agri since it won't work for me. Mining tech also was red flag because I had joined several bounties and invested from, they are all failed. Specially, ambit mining.

Several Bounty projects ' coins have failed. And I still have altcoins with no sale interest until now. But there are some coins with a premium for sale that have experienced a decline. And so far, prices have not risen so that such coins are no longer being produced. We also need to be careful before we invest and pursuit the project altcoins. Lessons have been learnt

Dead coins are no longer in use in the market I think. So it is not a good idea to accumulate dead coins and hold them in the hopes that they will give big profits in the future. But there are possibilities that new management can acquire them if they see their potentiality. For me, I will not collect and hold these coins.

The dead coin is a coin without any active development or without any trading volume. You can´t earn much on dead coins, only if you buy dead coins for cheap with a lot of your BTC / ETHs, then you make a fake hype, like signal and then you will sell these coins to people that are greedy.  Wink

In my opinion it's very risky if you want to buy Dead crypto, it's better to buy assets that will grow even though it is enough to spend capital, but if you still want to buy dead crypto you have to buy the lowest price when there is an increase, immediately sell dead crypto assets that You have.
For me personally buying a dead coin is not the right decision because if we look at the current market conditions that are arguably less supportive it will only make us become a failure of the investments we do or it is for me the same as investing to get losses and I personally would prefer to invest into the top coins at the moment even though we have to spend a little bigger capital but that I think is better than taking a big risk.

You can revive a project if you find a new developer for it and create a marketing plan and organize exchange listings, but all this requires some initial outlay of capital so you'll need to have that at hand before you seek out the resources required to re-launch an old cryptocurrency that is no longer actively being developed
it is not easy to find new sources of funding for developing dead projects. moreover the project has been successful in gaining the trust of investors, of course it will be even more difficult. therefore many developers choose to leave the project and create another new project
If some project has died then it is better to not try to bring the dead back because it won give any benefit. So the best approach is to either start a new project or never let your hardly created project die. Both are possible. For someone with experience, it won’t be much of a task to plan starting a new project. At last, developers should not switch on to new projects just because they can’t keep up with old one.
