Because exchanges want to verify your identity and sell it on the black market. Maybe not all exchanges, but with manipulated trading volume for sure. Besides, it makes sense to pass KYC on Binance or Huobi to keep your funds safe.

It's better to join IEO on a large Exchange even though they require us to fill KYC, because we will feel that the project can really be successful, If you are looking for an IEO that does not require KYC then it is only on a small Exchange and many doubt that it can succeed if IEO is done on a small Exchange.
there is also no guarantee that IEO in large exchanges will succeed. the problem here is why IEO must use kyc, why there is no option without kyc can join IEO. in some market exchanges, you can trade without having to kyc (for example binance), and why when IEO requires kyc.from what I've experienced, kyc does not guarantee everything as successful or secure.

KYC is no no for me in ICO because it compromises my privacy and may lead to data breach. But maybe, I could consider IEO because compared to ICO it is less risky.

I don't see any point in this issue of KYC because despite it, there are still series of scams that it does not prevent. KYC is nothing but a useless collection of people's data which can allow easy theft of their identity.

I think there is no exchange that runs IEO but does not use KYC.
You can visit Exmarket, there are lots of new altcoins and there are some airdrops you can follow when trading.
there are now many exchanges that run IEO and have different rules
I don’t think that KYC rejection is what we should even be talking about right now even, I know majority of us does not like KYC, but this is something that we really do not have any control of, it is their call and that is what they need, and I think the number of exchanges that requires KYC really over shadows the number of the ones that does not, so it becomes beyond our power to even try to reject it because wherever we go, we will always meet it there.

The only thing that we can just do is to try and reckon with an exchange that we know still has some level of respect to some extent and would treat the data's they do collect from us right and not misuse it, which is why I use Binance exchange alone.

Why investor need AML/KYC of join IEO because minimize the possibility of money laundering.
If you don't want to give out your personal data just wait until the IEO project is listing on exchanger.

I think all the IEO organizer exchanges need KYC. it's different like the ICO system that not all projects need KYC so we can participate in their sales. but the existence of KYC might be an alternative to the absence of a large number of token ownership by one investor. because there is usually a limit to the purchase of each ticket held in IEO sales. if you want to get more, you can join and sell the presale done by the project. the price is also cheaper.
The implementation of KYC will help remove the manipulators out of this market because if it is a leading project, then that project will get a lot of great attention from everyone. In my opinion KYC needs to be implemented at any IEO project because if that project does not require KYC users, that project will definitely have a lot of big risks in investment. I often interested in profit but still consider it many times because nothing can be sure when you join IEO.

In fact, you should only join IEO at major financial exchanges like Okex because they are willing to buy back if the coin is of good value. Of course it also takes a lot of luck to help you make a good profit.

For the purpose of just trading, kyc might not be required, just like in Binance and even KuCoin exchange where you can trade without kyc verification though limited to withdrawal amount but once it has to do with IEO then every trusted exchange will impose kyc, so it's up to you to go ahead with IEO or not.
IEO is a must if the exchange is hosting an IEO otherwise they will be threatened of closing down by the government and may be accused of money laundering. It's really a dangerous business decision from the exchange side not to require KYC because that means they are against the regulation. Although there are some exchanges that requires no KYC usually they are not based on US and have more flexible rules. So it's up to you whether you choose to invest into IEO by offshore exchange or not.

Nowadays every IEO's needs KYC from customer in order to prevent fraud and to stop investors from banned country to join it. You're not obligated to join into IEO's as you can wait for that certain project to simply be listed on the exchange after the IEO ends. Most of the investors prefer this but if the project don't get the minimal capital they won't be listed anywhere so its a double risk edge...its your call which to take it.

Centralized exchanges majorly require KYC because of anti-fraud and anti-money laundering compliances and to restrict some nations from participating because of some existing laws in those nations. This is majorly to protect the exchanges from damages and government laws.
most have already implemented KYC, the regulations made by each exchange certainly have different policies for each of their exchange users. all depends on how IEO can really be trusted by investors. and the best conclusion I think will lead to a good project that chooses the best exchange with clear and safe regulations.

all who want to invest in IEO must verify KYC, so there is no way to exchange IEO that does not require KYC. but my advice is better to look for a quality exchange if you want to invest in IEO, this is very important because it can determine the success of the project. Quality exchange can also guarantee data security. this must be considered not to use your data by people who are not responsible.

for me it is not a problem, as long as projects built based on IEO are already listed on the top exchanges like Binance. KYC only applies to investors, if you are a promoter then reconsider if you do not trust the KYC system, or may not be involved in it.

KYCing in popular exchange such as binance will not published your ID to the public, they saved it securely in their database. It's required to do because when you want to withdraw a lot amount of money, they want to make sure it's really you that requested a withdraw.
But if you need to know and invest on IEO without KYC, latoken exchange is one of the goo choices. But yeah, the token that list IEO on that exchange is not good and exclusive as those who listed in binance launchpad.

KYC function that is applied by exchange is to find out who follows IEO. Most and almost all exchanges implement KYC. If you are not happy with KYC, without this it will be troublesome, many exchanges require it.

There are IEOs that doesnt needing our verification and it is the IEOs that I looking for. I actually participated in IEOs that doesnt requiring kyc and for me it is not a hassle and many more people can participate in IEOs.
I think that IEO projects that do not require KYC are often scam projects and not many people are interested in so if you invest, the risk will be great. I don't encourage you to participate in these IEO projects because the opportunity to earn almost zero profit and it is best to choose IEO always requires KYC users because those projects will often be highly appreciated. I recommend that you only participate in exchanges like Huobi, Okex, Gate, Kucoin because these are the 4 trades I often use for profit and of course will require KYC participants.

I haven't seen one that doesn't requires KYC, even if i did i will stay away from such exchange and project because there is assurance that its a scam project probably planned by the exchange, investors are been warned not to invest on IEO projects from new exchanges i hope they listen
