If the ICO project fails due to difficulties in raising funds or all that causes the project to fail. They must return your investment money. It is very risky to invest in an ICO project, especially now that market conditions are collapsing.

If the ICO fails, your money will be returned if you act as an investor. But the refund is not always entirely dependent on the agreement at the beginning when you start investing your money. However, so far I have seen more ICOs returning money in full according to the amount of our investment because the fault of the ICO failure is not with the investor. But other things if the ICO fails and we are only participants of the ICO bounty campaign, we will lose our effort and time. We will not get paid from our efforts.

The failure rate of ICOs has been such that I'd expect any money thrown into them to be lost forever. They say, after all, do not invest more than you can afford to lose. I have heard of a new Ethereum-based protocol that will allow investors to withdraw their funds from an ICO if they are dissatisfied, but I am not sure how practical this is, or if it will be implemented.

as fair Le ico if they do not reach the sums necessary to carry out the project, they reimburse those who bought the coin. But sometimes these are scams and instead of being repaid, you lose the money invested and they run away with your money. so we suggest you carefully analyze the ICO you want to participate in.

Most scam ICOs these days find it hard to reach softcap. Although, that an ICO does not reach softcap, does not directly translate or mean that is scam.
Then some of them also lie about their softcap in order to attract more funds.
Most times, projects like this do not return investors money even if the fail, but they most times will not revealed they failed.

You probably will not get your money back. At the moment very few projects raise funds: and the remaining 99% are scammers. I wish you good luck and don't recommend investing in ICOs.

If ICO fails then STO, IEO, IAO takes over. Many people are more interested in security token offerings, initial exchange offerings because they have lower risk of being scam. So if ICO ever goes extinct, these new crowdfunding methods will take over. This is just my opinion. Thanks.

If the PPI fails, then the best thing that can happen after that is the return of funds by the investor and the reformatting of the project plan. I am sorry for those projects that failed and did not try again.

In this case, you lose your investment. Just tokens will be worthless and the money will go nowhere. So you need to be more careful and careful and do not invest
Yes, but good team doea not fail an ICO if they truly had goals objective and the way how they want to achieve the target. But, usually team handling project are only after the money of the investors. This is why many ICO faiked or after it listed in an exchange it will be dead. No demand tokens will be useless and investors will be wasting their money.

There are many ICO is running at the same time. Maximum ICO can't be success. So, if I invest in any ICO and if they can't be success then what will happen with my money? Will they give me back me my money or not? I am so confused. So, please kindly inform me.

Thank You Everyone.

Honest developers usually return money to investors in case the project does not collect Soft Cap. However, not all projects are made by honest people, so there is no 100% guarantee of your money back.

Well initial coin offering is not falling any time soon. I actually don't engage myself in initial coin offering.
But I would be nice to see an alternative and security token offering would be the best alternative

If you invest Legit ICO and their ICO did not get success they can extend their ICO to collect fund. Otherwise they back your money. If you invest your money on scam ICO they take your money with you.

I have experienced this, I followed the bounty but the ICO that was running did not run smoothly. but investors asked for their money back, eventually the team returned the investor's money.

from my current experience. if there is an ICO that does not reach the softcap, sometimes our money that we have invested will return. but that all also requires a process.

This's what happen recently if ICO's failed

- Buy Back Program (but if 100% failed they do not this)
- Refund Program (If the project is developed by real peoples and honest with the project they will do this)
- RUNAWAY (This's what will happen if you investing without learning the project that u will invest. MOSTLY the "developer runaway->create new project")

Bounty participants will not be paid, and investors will not get a profit, they may even lose because they did not get their capital back when they invested in the beginning of Ico.
