Do you continue hodling or sell? A lot of people say to hold no matter what happens and I'm not advocating daytrading but I think in a situation like this, it'd be advantageous to sell.

Thoughts? What would you do?

I agree with because it will be profitable to sell at such price surge. When you during that price surge, you will still buy the coin at the bottom. I bought some EOS about 2 months ago and the price surge overnight so I sold at that price surge and I still buy some during market dip.

When it was riding high in the value then of course if I sell it. wait time to buy again when the value backs down with a stable price but better also set a target to sell, give a benchmark price that should be set when what percentage of profit in order to sell. by that way, I think there's been a complacency although still allowing prices to rise.

Depending on the coin i might choose to set some percentage to the trade market or just hodl if it has features that seems long term but best case is to sell a little percentage and buyback at the dip

That will be a very good news. I will still continue to hold if the total value doesn't get anywhere. Example an increase of 40%-200% might happen but you will still have an amount of $30. In situations like this, I will still hold.

I would sell off, I usually target a much lower profits and would probably sell of before a 200% growth.
If I strongly believe in the coin, I could wait for a (possible) dip and buy back in.

Of course sell it then I buy again at the time of correction and low price. But it all depends on the market situation and several other factors

If the price rises by 40 percent or higher. I immediately sell all my coins. But such a situation can only be in dreams, as a rule, now everything is the other way round, in one night the price may drop by 40 percent.

I will sell it immediately and buy Bitcoin  Grin. Because currently Bitcoin is very cheap and you can get cheap Bitcoin probably for the last time in your life!

Selling half or a third part. If the price still grows, then sell from becoming also half or the third part. And so on ad infinitum Smiley

If your investment increased that much overnight then it's probably better to sell it off and wait for it to cooldown and then buy back lower. As the saying goes "buy the hype, sell the news", most of the times the price increase because of some kind of hype and then after 2 to 3 days it retraces back, so it's good to sell off in this situation.

The tricky part of this is not if you should sell. If a coin doubles, it's almost always best to sell the majority as there will be fallback.

It's simply catching the rise if it's a quick pump that can be tricky. Unless you have orders set ahead of time, odds are one will miss the huge jump in the first place.

If it is a growth for 1 day, then at 100% I would sell 50% of my position, if 200% I would sell 100% of my position in this coin, since there is no such kind of daily growth without kickbacks, unless growth is based on any fundamental news.

Watch it, as it can only start, and it will give even more profit, it all depends on the news, and events that clearly or indirectly affect the coins and their value, as the most promising startups can give a lot of profit in a week, especially now, in such a market

of course i will sell them, because after rising, peope will sell it and make the dump,it not be rise everyday, so u can take chance to sell it or u gonna hold it and later u will cry hahaha.

It depends on the coin. Some coins are better off sold while you have the chance because they are artificially pumped but some are legit coins that will rise again even if they fall like BTC and ETH.

If I have decided to keep or hold the coins then no matter what happens I will keep them. The reason is because you never know maybe in next day it’s gonna raise and raise or again other way round fall. I think the best way is to keep them I know few peoples who with bounty coins straight away invest in one coin example ETH. That’s another option!

If you are expecting profits , just sell it . This is a great fortune  and great chance for everybody who’s holding that coin to Make a profit .No need to hold it, because it is just in once in a blue moon situation. Just buy  enough coins again when the price  decreases and sell it again the price getting high. But if  your situation is just only freezing your assets , you just can hold your coins no matter what.

Many people will be of the opinion to hold for longer which might actually be more profitable but if I happen to invest in a coin that went up to 40% in value, I will consider selling 75% of my invest to recoup my funds and hold the remaining for more profit.
I could probably have sold half of my investments, but the other half needs to be kept for a longer period for even higher profits. This tactic with some changes is very good.
How about selling your entire coin and grab all the profit, then when the correction occur which always occur after a huge pump happen you place a buy order and then sell it again when high, that will give you a lot more profit
than holding half of your assets even after the coin is pumped.

I would most likely get my initial investment out and ride the rest to huge profit points.  If I missed my sell points for huge profits and disaster struck I still have my investments.  Its like a free chance to get Lambo!!
This should be the strategy that most people will choose, and only the profit that comes to hand is the real profit.
