For any altcoin 200% increase now, I will sell a huge portion of it. I understand more about the volatility now than in past year. Even if it was bitcoin that had the pump i will still take my profit in fiat. Every high pump of that height in altcoin should be exploited, turn some to fiat, bitcoin and invest others into another good ICO.

I have been told more than once that in such situations it is best to sell, because after such a rapid growth of love will be a correction of the coin and it will fall in price. Therefore, by selling at a higher price, you can then
re-purchase the same coins back when the price falls. Thus you can return back the number of coins that you had initially and still earn. But in order to manipulate the market so you need to be able to respond quickly to such growth jumps and without losing time to sell, otherwise you risk to sell already at a lower price.

Many people will be of the opinion to hold for longer which might actually be more profitable but if I happen to invest in a coin that went up to 40% in value, I will consider selling 75% of my invest to recoup my funds and hold the remaining for more profit.
I could probably have sold half of my investments, but the other half needs to be kept for a longer period for even higher profits. This tactic with some changes is very good.

If that happens then I do not do anything because all the commands that I set will be triggered at that time. I just bought another coin and sold them at a higher price

What do you expect me to do in this situation than to sell quickly before it drops again. Do u expect it to rise to 1000% before you sell?

I will sell it when the price increase is not normal and buy it back when there is a sharp price decline, I am not a daily trader but often monitor my portofolio every day

Do you continue hodling or sell? A lot of people say to hold no matter what happens and I'm not advocating daytrading but I think in a situation like this, it'd be advantageous to sell.

Thoughts? What would you do?

200% or more is always the target of long-term investment. I think it's best time to sell it. I've seen many situation like that, their prices will drop a lot after increasing over 200%. (stellar, ripple,...). Selling it is best choice.

if my coin increased 200%, it means my coin has doubled. i will half of my coin if that happened.
for the rest of 50%, i will hold it until it doubled again in the future, then i sell half again. That is my strategy.

If I traded, it is recommended in this case to sell in parts, so as not to stay with anything. Quite good advice, as he lost a lot. With the growth of the coin you do not know whether it will stop now or not, so you sell 25 percent and wait, if you grow again, you sell another 25 percent. As you want, so share. And if the coin is on long-term storage, it is better not to touch it until the best times when Bitcoin will show its record in price.

I guess it depends on the person who bought that coin. If it is an investor who has invested money for a long term then he will not sell the coin. And if a person is engaged in trading, he will naturally fix the profit.

I still hold even if I do have much loss, its better for me, because the higher the fall, the higher the increase that will happen after bear market. every year, there is a new peak, so I will keep holding until I get the price I want.

If you do not go deep into it and do not make a guess, I would do it: 50% sold, 50% hold. So you stay with the money and there is a possibility that you will get an increase, if you collapsed then you at least part of the money was withdrawn.

I would not even have thought that if there was such a jump overnight,
I would gladly sell it and I think it would fall then and then I would buy it cheaper if there are no better options!

If you really need the cash then sell it, but if you don't HODL all you want and wait for another surge of price. If the coin is worth to HODL then I think you should HODL. But if the coin is in a way part of pump and dump situation I think you should sell it. It really depends on your gut feeling. Good luck.

I definitely gonna look for a reason behind the price surge. If the surge is because of some news in coming future, then price is likely to grow up further before the actual happening of the news. If, price is up because of some rumor or exchange listing, it is better to leave your position from that coin as early as possible because with more people knowing, price goes down pretty badly. In case of a pump without a reason, it is always better to short the profit and exit.

I had a similar situation with Bitcoin Diamond in December of last year) Of course it's worth selling. Then look what you need. Bought at a low price and increase the number of altcoyins or simply fix profits.

I can say with confidence that I would sell this coin. If the coin grows fast, it quickly falls afterwards. I will sell it at the top of the cost.

Well
I don’t know what type of profit you need but once your token does over 200%
There is no need to hodl
Simply sell,
Wait for a while again and buy the dumping once more
No need to hodl till eternity
