Well, well, well... I am back for an update.

Originally (in Post #1) sold my house for approximately $400,000 Canadian, and got approximately 648 BTC in the transaction. BTC is currently at approximately $450 US each. This makes my investment worth $291,600 in U.S. Dollars. Now also note that the Canadian Dollar has tanked really hard in the last year and is now at a 12 year low, around .72c US. That makes my Bitcoin currently worth $405,000 Canadian!. I am currently up on my initial investment! I did weather the storm when it sat at $200 for a long time (and crapped my pants from time to time and did a lot of drinking), but now my time has come. For all those that laughed, we will see who is laughing in 2016!

Yet you are greedy, and therefore you will loose your assets in the future. Diversify your investment, and trade antizyclic! Do it with rebalancing your assets! And stop drinking!

Bitcoin are not lotto tickets, if they were we would all be on  the lottery forum figuring out how to win it....

Lottery is like a tax for stupid people, statistics prove  you are more likely to be struck by lightening TWICE Than win the lottery ONCE........

The odds of 650 odd bitcoin being worth a princely sum are very high by comparison
If you don't believe me, give me 650btc and I'll buy you 650lottery tickets

I can't say you did well buddy, but I can say you got some balls!
I'm one of the numerous that like bitcoin but don't hold, I trade and invest but always transform to fiat in the end. Well people like you are the reason btc might rule the world one day.

Keep holding, you might buy a new house in 2016  Grin

Faith on bitcoin was strong on this one. I am very impressed how much you believe on bitcoin despite of the ups and downs. Personally I am only holding 1 btc for now and sometimes I feel like I wanna sell it when price go down and give up on bitcoin but this kind of story cheers me up. I am hoping one day to hold bitcoins as much as you have. Cheesy Good luck on your bitcoin journey Grin

Had you just done *nothing*,
The MLS® Home Price Index (HPI) rose 7.1% year-over-year in November.
The national average sale price rose 10.2% on a year-over-year basis

So yeah, horrible, still in the red, roughly $60k (not including the tax you paid on the sale), unless you're comparing what you did to selling your house for cash & stuffing that cash in a mattress (banks pay interest).

P.S. Please check in this time next year Smiley

Some people have stones and some people don't
Generally you won't get filthy rich by doing *nothing *
He might have gained 6% from *nothing* but will you say the same in a year if his gains are 600% or 6000%?

That house will still appreciate, albeit slowly
But it certainly doesn't have the potential of 650 odd btc

One day, you will sit staring at the full profit potential of your investment.....feeling very pleased with yourself.

Then not long after this day, you will sit staring in agony at the rapid evopration of so much this full profit potential.

Bitcoin is back in a primary bull market, there will be swings and brutal corrections along the way, but most likely, it will make its way up until around at least the $700s...whether it goes beyond that, is anyones guess, but what you need my friend, is an exit strategy.

Retard holders get to see the full profit potential of thier investment, but also the full loss potential of their investment. BTC is a different market to what it was in 2013. Now we have futures, margin trading, short selling. Those with the clout to move this market, can profit wildly from inducing wild swings in the market in both directions whereas previously, the only way to profit in Bitcoin was for the market to ramp.
