He knows that one day his Bitcoins are worth more then his initial askingprice of the house so he is not worried.
In fact in dreams is already designing his residential villa on a private island next to Leonardo DiCaprio.

Thats pretty impressive though for the op to sell his house for bitcoin.

I guess the risk for him would be if there was a massive price drop the next day or something like that. He could of just done this to keep the home sales converted all back into cash so it was more like a cash deal instead.

A shrewd investment, in a few years I'm sure he'll be glad to have all that btc.
really? and if bitcoin would be dumped to a few dollars only? would you take such huge risks and trade in your house to buy bitcoins? i think that was one of the dumbest decisions made with bitcoin i saw on this forum, and i read this forum a lot

we have an intellectual in the house  lol Roll Eyes

Bad decision of selling house .

People saves the memories of there father/mom how can you sell it dude for money you can sell your money and save your father's house damn .
Yes, it is, but what if he is right, Bitcoin rise up to 100,00$ and he becomes a millionaire? All people here will praise his success and say I'm regret not following him. Nothing succeeds like success.

He had been here last month but didn't talk anything form last June, may he is OK.

100,000
I'm with you for wishful thinking but lets get real alright? 10,000 maybe. 100,000 per coin? Get real dude.

It's all relative, many of us that were playing with piles of BTC when they were worth a few cents didn't think they would break $1,000 one day...

you are right man I can respect that.

Nah, OP sold @$640.

Didn't saw him posts that he sold his bitcoin though. It seems you're close friends Tongue

He stated it in the OP, and given the time that he posted this on March 2014:

When the house closed on Friday I got approximately 648 BTC for my house which is based on prices over the past 6 months when the deal was actively negotiated, legal fees, realtor fees, and a bunch of contract wording that I frankly don't understand.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but given the time frame he had stated, didn't he sold at around the $640-$670 range? If that's the case, then he's kinda fcked up and worried right now. Probably not a good idea in the first place.

Give the guy a break. We don't even know his situation. He might, for example, still have other family members' houses he can sell which would allow him to cost average his buy-in prices.

Still a bad decision, he didnt even probably seek for a good entry point
