I am letting go some of my coins because I have given the project plenty of time and they have done nothing apart from releasing roadmap and development update for the last 2 years.

I'm usually a holder I still coins and tokens I've got from Bounty campaign just like the two of the just recent projects I've participated in I'm still holding both of them but there are instances in the past that I dump my coins/tokens  because
The coin is not progressing and I want to buy coins that has more potential.

So what is or are your reason why you are dumping your coin?

IMO some coins take a really long time to grow. There are so many coins that I regret selling to early in small profits because if I would have waited a little longer then they might have given me huge returns.  I usually dump my coins when my stop-loss gets triggered.

Well, the real reason is that I don't see the potential of it. when a coin has no volume, or given project progress, I sometimes decide to sell it. however, I am still holding some altcoins because of the potential that I think is quite large in the future. it's just that, if there are coins that I feel have no potential anymore, I will exchange them into one of the coins that I hold and have potential.

The reason why I would dump a coin or token is because of lack of good use case, if the project have good utility I will be glad to hold part of the whole reward I get after bounty ends but still I prefer selling the tokens

usually I throw away to buy it back cheap, because other bounty participants will also throw it cheaper than me, so I take the opportunity to buy it cheaper, if the market is really good, I will start first, but if only my DEX exchange is not will buy it again because it will be difficult to progress and develop, but if the coin has the potential to enter into a large exchange, it's best to keep it in the bag.

Most new projects will end up a disappointment, I'm not just ready to take the risk of holding for long term, bounty tokens easily become useless after few months, I'd rather invest in popular new projects that use top exchanges for IEO launchpad

Obvious reason to exchange for more valuable coin like bitcoin and major altcoins. I never hold most of my tokens from bounty only those I think with potential. Not all projects could stay alive if you hold some loses demand and eventually died. So before it comes to that I already dumped it. At least I can enjoy what I worked for. Holding tokens are not bad strategy you just need to know if that projects are good for long term. Or set a target when you will sell it.

If i dump a coin/token is because of similar reasons as many here, if the project don't seem to be performing to expectations or probably am trying out a new investment opportunity,  but most times I like holding some good project i campaign for which I know have potentials because you never know what will turn up as long as the team are working properly or according to road map.

Many bounty projects are simply pretenders, they have good starts and as time goes on they will reduce development rate, they are bad for long term holding that's why bounty hunters don't like holding coins they earned from bounties

There are many reasons I sell altcoins that I got from the bounty, one of which is if the price is too high to hold and feel that I have gotten a fair value for what has been done.

I am also one of those who always hold coins and don't rush to sell coins obtained from bounties. There are several things that cause us to immediately sell the coins, maybe one of them is because we don't care about the project and we are in need of money. In addition, there are no profitable prospects of the project in the future, so there are many bounty hunters who sell their coins as soon as they are on the market.

I think I have stayed with other projects longer even though there is no progress in value.
I don't rely on that too much.
If the team is still alive and doing what they can then I will stay.
There are times when the market is just not moving on so does every coin out there.

Yeah, I do rely on the team behind it. If they keep on updating then I won't sell.
Somehow I am hoping there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

This is why team with seriousness mind must only give up the exact amount of tokens they can afford because majority of bounty hunters are going to dump, giving up too many tokens for bounty hunters will affect token price that's certainty

I only dumped my coin if I feel that the project has no future, their developer team hasn't updated anything for a long time, doesn't have many active members in their social channel.

There are a lot of reasons why bounty hunters dump their coins. I usually dump mine for one of the following reasons. When I had HODL on to a coin and haven't seen much progress on the project as a whole, the price is favorable and reached my target price, when I need emergency funds, and a lot more.

There are instances that I sell and buy back some altcoins especially if I see potential in it. I have seen a lot of projects, grow, die, and become stagnant since my stay here in this forum and had learned a lot of lessons from HODLing for too long or selling too early. That is why I consider a lot of things before selling something.

So what is or are your reason why you are dumping your coin?
During my beginner times, i once collected different tokens. Some came from faucets, some are extra payments in sig campaigns (signature campaigns payments before offer btc payments in half and tokens for the other half) and there is one which I invested with (I regret on that one). But on all those that I've mentioned, I dumped nothing. Why? Simply because they seems 99.9% worthless for me already that's why I don't mind exerting efforts to make even a single cent from it. I choose to forget all of them, forget my wallet and pw, everything. Not a practical move to be honest but that's okay with me. The important thing is I finally learned my lesson. On that day, I end my ICO hunting journey and not willing to continue anymore Grin.

Is it some random projects you have joined? Since there there isn't much progress, dumb those coins. Eventually the project will stop developing at all and the devs might start dumping the tokens/coins they hold. The coins will end up with no value and die.
It is better to dump it if it still has some values. And buy some well known coins like BTC and ETH.

Ive got motives when I dumped my coins and that is to purchase a better coins/tokens. Usually I am in favor on some projects that are big and stable. But of course the situation changed. Like now the defi is really a trend and I must say that tokens introduced on these project are worth gambling. So whenever I earned from bounty tokens aside from bitcoin eth and bnb, Ive wagered my chance to these new tokens ( but this is not a financial advise its up to you what to do on your own).

Sometime it gives me profit sometime not. But dumping coins will not reflect who you are. Its how you used your funds in some way you can generate income.

Do you feel bad when you dump tokens? Don't, there is nothing wrong in taking your profits when you can, some bounty projects will become nonsense later and you will end up in big loss, be smart with which ever coin you plan to hold, there are different reasons why tokens and coins dump in value and not because of bounty hunters dumping their shares

There are coins worth dumping and there are coins that worth holding this is the reality of the market some coins cannot keep up developing their project and abandon it like your reason it's better to dump and buy other coins worth including to your portfolio than late in dumping it.
