If i'm not mistaken, ever since Youtube uplifted its ban on gambling ads, that's how whenever you are watching any of these kinds of videos (i.e gambling related, investment related or how to make money related videos), you will always come across those ads, of which I think maybe this period you might have been watching more of either of those 3 kinds of videos often for you to have been shown more of gambling ads, which I have also noticed about Facebook recently displaying gambling and the very ads I noticed the most is "Coin master".
I use a Android smartphone and a desktop PC, I have noticed that what we look for using google search engine will impact how our phones react in giving out information, news and advertisements, it's like those gadgets are build in a way that they know their users better than anyone, once I look into Chelsea football club, my prebuilt news app will always give me updates about Chelsea football club and important information going on with the football club.

What you use your gadgets for will be the way it will function on the users behalf, It doesn't take a thing to find out if your friends are fraudsters or por* addicts, just get a hold of their phone of PC, without looking into their search or browser history you will know what they have been up too.

That's how invasive all these social media platforms and search engines have become, they use us to run their businesses and our privacy is not of their concern at all because we give them the right to do whatever they want with us because we always agree with their terms and conditions and agree with them at the time of registration.

Cookies used by websites and apps track our activities and then use that to provide us with news and updates and advertisements based on our searches which are considered to be our interests, our interests are even sold to other companies so that they can target us for selling their products.

This is why I use incognito when I search for something or watch YouTube videos but I forget it sometimes so, I typically browse with the normal browsers that have cache/cookies recorded on them, and then eventually, I'll get to see the ads, and videos related to what I've most recently watched.
They may not be related to gambling ads but the most recent videos or searches that we do is what they'll throw us with the ads that they have.

Obviously the more you avoid such content the lesser you will view related advertising.
Avoid typing keywords that are related to the ads that you're annoying or when you do, use incognito or browsers that don't have these ads. There are browsers that are helpful when it's to these ad-blocking features. Or if not, download those adblockers for your sake to avoid these ads coming out to your browser.
Incognito browsing is great for the most part since it keeps your cookies from being traced (cookies are basically what they call 'internet trackers' which are the tiny bits of data that tells the site a lot about the user), but it still doesn't shield you from the gambling ads altogether. The best way you could really rid yourself of these pesky advertisements is through the use of ad blockers which they themselves blocks all ads, saving you the trouble of ever worrying about getting cut off from that stuff you're watching on Youtube by some unrelated advertisement. Plus using an ad blocker also disallows these sites from getting your cookies, and since you don't need to go incognito your search history is saved, which is especially helpful for people who tend to go back and forth on some sites and pages.

there are a lot of adblockers that are free of charge and some do, but still, those are good investments tho. ads were a normal part of youtube, that is also how they can market their premium subscription so they can remove ads. In short, you can use tools such as other adblockers or you can also use other other browsing sites other done google chrome.

You are right, though not gambling related, I remember that in several occasions, I've search for something on Aliexpress for example, an Item I wish to buy, only to return later to YouTube, facebook and start seeing ads on that particular product I searched for..

This is also the same thing that happens with gambing as well, some times, I try to find out some things happening in the gambling world, so I head to Google and type the keyword "latest gambling updates, news", and later during that day, I return to YouTube to start watching gambling related ads in-between videos, I must confess its really annoying most times, but that is simply the internet, nothing much can really be done.

Whenever i do make use of certain browsers whether Chrome, Firefox, ME,Brave or Opera. I do really make use of incognito or private window on which it wont really be saving up cookies or histories on what you had

searched out on which you wouldnt really be able to see those irrelevant ads that you arent really that liking to see. Its true that it is really that sometimes that irritating on the time that their appearance is already that
more than as usual which is something that a common case on where these ads is showing knowing that companies would really be that aggressive on the time that they would be able to see some potential
customer or a specific audience. If you dont like totally having those ads specially on some sites then you could always have that ad blocker but if we do speak about youtube and
other social media platforms then there's no way on avoiding those things.

I'm asking out of curiosity, are you guys experiencing a surge of gambling ads on youtube videos lately? this past week I've experienced an increased encounter of gambling ads on videos I watch on youtube. it's not that it bothers me, I am just surprised because I don't remember getting this many gambling ads on youtube videos in the past, but this past week, I usually get a gambling ad from 2-3 out of 5 videos I watch(it's just an estimation because of how often I get the ads). I don't know if it is because I recently watched several videos of streamers gambling or it's just a coincidence, I've watched streamers gambling videos in the past but I have never gotten this many gambling ads.
Are you kidding me or am I missing something??? I never knew that YouTube blocked gambling ads, neither did I know that Facebook do the same thing. This is because I always receive gambling and trading ads on my YouTube page, which might be because I gamble and trade often on my phone.
Yes, it's true YouTube did actually banned all ads related to gambling (both online & offline), and that was in June 2021 (i.e 2yrs ago) for a period of some months before later uplifting such ban base on reasons best known to them, because how I got to know about this info is simply because that was the period I started my YouTube channel growth and I was always updated on all it's policies that period unlike now that I hardly visit YouTube.

Statement by Youtube given below:

Quote
Assets that depict or reference gambling-related content, including offline gambling, online gambling, online non-casino games, and social casino games is a prohibited category,” YouTube states.

But Youtube is still a place to look for tutorials or lessons we want to find, so many people still do that search. That is why many advertisements still appear even though people do not want them. But perhaps, they can avoid it by clicking on the ad but of course, they should be able to resist the temptation to avoid it. Another place influencers can use is Facebook; even if I remember correctly, I've seen it on TikTok or SnapChat. So we must pay attention and filter what we want to find and see and not be easily tempted by advertisements.

Google advertisement are based on searches made using the search engine and YouTube. It is a combination of your overall usage of Google ecosystem. As long as you use thier ecosystem they will capture all your data and accordingly show you the ads. No they can't be avoided by clicking the ads. If you click the ads they will start repeating them more. The only way to do it is to reset the advertisement. Obviously the more you avoid such content the lesser you will view related advertising.

Yeah, it will give you recommendations according to how you visit and how you view some ads, it's annoying but nothing can be done it's been part by the system and the recommendations will keep coming as the program was design to give recommendation for much quicker access, the problem is when you visit certain website especially those gambling related website you will see more and more recommendation that have same concept and business offers.
It would really be indeed basing up on what you do surf or watch out on which those recommendations would really be piling up and this is the way on where SEO does with that recommendation system which would

really be that relevant of a certain viewer and on this way they would be able to hook up that specific audiences basing on their surfing habits and this is why it isnt really that shocking that we would really be seeing those ads. This is why on the time that there's an ad which is really that something that includes into our interest then we might click it out or would really be just seeing it and this is the modern advertisement
that we do have today and if you do find out that its totally irrelevant  then you would really be simple be able to skip it or does even have the option for you to report its irrelevance.
This is why its not really that a shocking condition though.

What is clear for sure is that a streamer does advertising or broadcasts gambling streams which he does because he can get more profit.
The first is from YouTube itself, he can get a certain amount of payment if he already has a lot of followers plus from the referrals that are shared if many people use it, you can be sure that the bonus from the referrals is also quite large.
YouTube is still free for gambling advertising and live streaming and we can see for ourselves that more and more people are using YouTube as their media for gambling advertising.
that's true (fall into the entertainment category), but not all streamers can make money from their videos on youtube when youtube knows that the content he makes is a video when he plays gambling

As long as you don't often do searches about gambling, you don't need to worry about recommended ads from YouTube, besides, many countries don't prohibit gambling ads on online platforms or social media

As I've said many times before, if gambling and sports betting ads are banned in one space, we will clearly see it in another - and it seems to me the Internet, since the Internet is frequented by a very diverse audience and ads can be personalized, unlike ads on athletes' T-shirts. Even if you disable advertising in Youtube (that's how Youtube is now working in Russia), it doesn't mean that you won't see gambling advertisements, because many youtubers are sponsored by casinos and bookmakers and advertise them by themselves.
I haven't seen any gambling ads like ads but there are now a lot of big youtubers gambling in casions on youtube live. They are getting big numbers and got sponsored from various casinos.

YouTube and similar platforms tailor their ads based on your browsing habits. If you are using a browser which you have history about gambling, search gambling related terms in Google/YouTube, and generally visit a lot of gambling related websites, then you can expect YouTube to tailor its ads based on your browsing habits. That's just how the algorithm works.

In terms of YouTube permitting it...we are in a slowing economy. Rules tend to loosen to keep business going and money coming in. Especially in marketing.
Yes, you are right because it all comes from user habits, I have never accessed gambling sites on my laptop browser so I have never seen any gambling advertisements except for crypto ads because I use my work in crypto using a laptop browser, but as far as I know OP can limit such ads by resetting settings for restricted ads from being seen and annoyed with it.

I also sometimes use additional third-party applications in my browser to block ads so that everything works safely as long as I surf and never get disturbed by any ads, let alone gambling. OP can also use third party applications such as ad blockers if they are annoying.

Ever get that weird feeling that your devices kinda get you? It's like they're psychic, right? But, all that ease ain't free, folks.
Every click, search, and like is a piece of your digital puzzle. It's kinda like your secret diary but in techie gibberish. Looking up your fav footie team or the next hot stock, your tech's taking notes. But is it all just chill, or is there something darker brewing?

Now, think what if your info lands in the wrong inbox. Could be some sneaky hacker or a nosy buddy. They'd not just know your biz but know you. Sorta like handing over the keys to your world, innit? Gives you the creeps, right? Shouldn't we have more say in who gets a peek into our digital lives?

Gambling adverts are some of the highest paying - similar to insurance or medical stuff, because they have some of the biggest commissions around. Lots of people are trying to push these adverts with the aim to convert them into paying customers. Both the companies themselves and the affiliate marketers who work for them have a lot of money invested. I suspect that Google have re-evaluated their policies and determined that the legal risks have subsided, or they have built in mechanisms to limit the risk. They also have some of the most sophisticated visitor tracking in the world, so would be able more than anyone else, to identify who it is legal to show this type of advertising towards.

Previously the gambling ads were prohibited on the YouTube but if they had lifted this restriction then it's another story. I guess if you watch any gambling videos only then you may see those ads because I haven't witness it yet.

However my question is that is it a good decision for the YouTube to display such ads because gambling is considered as a risky game and if these ads are being shown frequently it may have some negative impact on the society. However the gambling sites will never mind it getting the business promoted through ads.

This is because I always receive gambling and trading ads on my YouTube page, which might be because I gamble and trade often on my phone. You might not be doing this before or you might be in a country where regulators ban it as am so sure that YouTube didn't block such in my country, though I am not so much a fan of Facebook, I might not observe that there.

Also, the earnings of these companies have reduced in recent years and I believe they are making more efforts to bring in income, that's even as they sack more workers for the gains of the companies to increase. Such companies could still abandon their initial sanity of refining adverts in some countries too.
