Anybody had an issue where the miner stucks after a reboot and doesn't start mining?
Web configuration page is accessible and all the settings are ok, but it doesn't start mining.
I have the same issue. Web configuration is accessible but it is showing nothing on status, system and network page and it's keep on loading. Only pool configuration is accessible. Nothing on the pool side as well.

Have you tried upgrading the firmware to the December 22 version?

See my previous post in this thread, it took some time for me before the A5 started hashing.

I tried doing the upgrade but it got stuck at 0%.

A massive thank you for this! Inno replied to my query for the pw: "Sorry, It's a secret for our developers only and can't be shared". Damn them. Should they find out again that the PW is out in the public, do you see it as a real option that they could improve their security and move away from the relatively easy to crack DES-scheme? If so, things could get more painful in the future (then I'd probably skip important FW updates due to that).

Root password for 22 Dec firmware is t1t2t3a5

Merry Christmas all Smiley

The files now are Read-Only

I believe this was a good decision by Inno, rendering the possibility of auto corruption of certain files impossible. You can change the FS between RW&RO easily; see the following post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.26944688

I noticed that also (since a couple of updates back) but miner will eventually start mining after a few minutes. If its taking too long, could be your pool setting, try an easy pool just to see if miner can connect, for example the default pool. As for latest firmware 2017-12-22, overclock is possible now and auto-refresh is still not working.

Happy Holidays to all and happy mining.

Yeah I was hurrying too much with it.  Cheesy

It took forever but now when I'm back home I notice it is mining ok again.

Thanks, and happy holidays!

What is the delay compensation from Innosilicon for A5? I got some emails from them, but am not sure what is the final policy.

Innosilicon support is sending me a MicroSD slot for my A5 so I can flash it. Until it arrives I have found a way to mine through telnet.

1. telnet 192.168.1.254 port 8100
2. login root, password innot1t2
3. cd /home/inno_tools
4. vi run.sh
5. change innosilicons pool to your pool settings.
Note: if your password has spaces in it such as N=5 D=16 then in the text put "N=5 D=16" that way the spaces aren't recognized as a new command
6. type: ./run.sh

The script should fire up and start mining to the pool you chose. You have to leave telnet open on the computer you used to access the device or it will stop mining. I am using a raspberry pi to hold the connection so it isn't to much of a problem.

no need for the Pi
just run the command with nohup
example " nohup sh /home/inno_tools/run.sh"

or you can set the miner script to autostart vie crond

Enable crond for scheduled tasks

telnet to your Miner IP and port 8100 with root and your new password
cp /etc/init.d/rcS /etc/init.d/rcS.bk
type "vi /etc/init.d/rcS"
press "i" to enable edit mode
add a line at before the telnet line "crond -c /home/inno_tools/Crontab"
presss "esc" then ":wq" to save the changes
type "mkdir /home/inno_tools/Crontab"
type "crontab -c /home/inno_tools/Crontab -e"
press "i" to enable edit mode
add your scheduled tasks in the cron format
example "@reboot sh /home/inno_tools/run.sh"
presss "esc" then ":wq" to save the changes
type "crond -c /home/inno_tools/Crontab"
