I don't find these to be dead alts, to my thinking Op might have invested big on this projects. Out of expectations what he got as a return might be worse. I find almost every alts mentioned as active on different exchanges. The trading volumes were low which were due to the lack of public promotions.
the majority of cases experienced altcoin is indeed like that. where a promotion after they do the ico was completed. and there is no regard to the promotion of development is already done. whereas if the promotion is done continuously it can build market interest against altcoin.

This could be a misleading posts.
You are looking only at the market and not the project itself.
Some of them are not dead yet.
Please go deeper to your investigations about this.

Some investors might be reading this and instead of helping other projects you could make it worse.

There is a thing called "dump" but the project is intact.

Pundi x still traded on my local exchange indeed the price currently very low and almost died probably if the volume support gradually low then possibly this altcoin will be delisted on that exchange but i have to agree with your opinion that Doge exceptional that even though the price low but Doge can survive even i used to save doge for long term purposse
Doge has been used as an alternative transaction to avoid the high fees while at the same time it has used to create a lot of the pump and dump. Basically the pumpers and dumpers are still giving a life for doge coin. But ethereum has been giving it too.

Here is a good source to decide which altcoin to invest in. I would never buy a dead altcoin with no development except Doge. Doge is unique and will be successful without much development.

dead alts are:

- Verge
- Holochain
- Bitcoin Private
- Pundi X
- Poet
- Decentraland (MANA)

That should do it. I don't know if many people know what kind of techniques you use but it's kind of useful seeing those graphs which are alive.

Why would you invest on a project that have no active developers, your investment will go to the graveyard if you do so, i disagree with you both of the coins are still active, if they are dead the price would slowly go down and the volume will slowly go down, if you check their twitter some updates are happening.

I dont agree pointing verge and pundi X as dead altcoins. For me, these two have a potential in the market and in the long run. Pundi X has very active team members to develop the project while verge still have thousands of supporters and investors that only hides in the shadow or waiting for a good entry to invest with it. For newbies and most investors, investing to an active project is a good choice but sometimes, those alts that we thought are not active were multiply its price surprisingly.

I don't know why but I really like ripple and always invest only in ripple, I also hear rumors that the ripple will touch the price of more than 2 $ next year,  and ripple is currently the best coin after bitcoin.

Of course we should invest the active development altcoin. Wink
I am not sure doge is good or not, but I will not invest it at this beer market.
I am interesting with you data analysis, according to what original data to get this result? The project contributors of GitHub or some else?Smiley

Doge in my opinion is good, because it's been a long time but still survives and tries to get back up, other investments still doubt my opinion, while the market is like now, but it's good if you take the risk of trying other active projects.

I don't think pundix is a dead cryptocurrency project, pundix is the world's largest decentralized offline cryptocurrency sales network, token holder who choose to keep the npxs will be able to benefit each month for three years as part of their further token distribution with proof of stake, I receive npxs token every month and I saw that  project have update their development progress, wait for price increase

Yes, this is a basic premise, because now that the cryptocurrency market is down, many coins are actually dead. We should refer to it through activeness, otherwise it will be dangerous to invest in altcoins.

It is necessary to invest not only in active projects, but also in projects that have a finished product, this is the basis of everything. But even this does not guarantee the success of the project. One thing is for sure, inactive projects will die.

I always saying that half of good project - good and permanently working team, roadmap development and usefulness of
projects. But for some mentioned above projects, have some doubt that they are dead, what criterias were used ? :
I don't know which criterias were used, original source is Twitter: https://twitter.com/el33th4xor/status/1068856384983363585?s=21

It's also on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Buttcoin/comments/a1tjpo/development_on_most_altcoins_has_seen_drastic/

This is a very good advice to people who are actually investing now, if you are going to invest in a coin you should always make sure that the coin is one that is still very active. The projects which are always working on their coins, working on new ways to improve and better the coin are always the best kinds of projects for you to put money into

It hard for someone to know active project, team of the project or developer will be active but at the end they will run away with your money.
You can identify which projects are very active.

Check their social media channels and even their website so you can be updated with their progress. But knowing if they are planning to do something like that, there's no way to know if they have malicious intent to make that project as their milking cow.
