Bitcoin is actually anonymous due to its encrypted Wallets where the private keys are only known and controlled by the sole users alone. Some users even use external soft wares like for instance Ledger Nano 5 and many others like that. However, nothing in life without some amounts or specific risks. Where huge amount of Bitcoin is involved, like in Exchanges Stores or Banks, extra cautiousness must be applied in other for these coins not to be hacked or scammed through Back doors referred to as loopholes due to negligences of the exchangers. However, Bitcoin can equally be termed as pseudo-anonymous because the personal identity of the users are anonymous while their addresses are disclosed publicly for various on line transactions where they are peer to peer in nature.

Bitcoin is not really anonymous because if bitcoin is totally an anonymous cryptocurrency then you cannot track down its transaction using the public key or the bitcoin address. A complete anonymous is not knowing if where does the money go and that is only possible with the other cryptocurrencies but right now, it is impossible for bitcoin to say that it is anonymous.

Bitcoin is not anonymous, but, rather, pseudo-anonymous. By now, most Bitcoin veterans know this. Bitcoin is not really anonymous by default. There are generally reasons why bitcoin is sometimes regarded as anonymous: First, unlike bank accounts and most other payment systems, Bitcoin addresses are not tied to the identity of users on a protocol level. Second, transactions are not tied to the identity of users either. As such, anyone can effectively transfer bitcoin from any address to which it controls the (private) keys, to any other address, with no need to reveal any personal information at all. Like physical cash, not even the receiver needs to know the identity of the sender.

I agree with you. Bitcoin is not completely anonymous. Every transaction must be recorded on the blockchain. And also this is not like a fully registered bank and knows every user. But bitcoin remains safe to me.

Not yet but they will add a layer of privacy at some point in time, it only makes sense. Also despite the fact the main chain isn't private, if you use LN all transactions there are private. I know the kinks aren't worked out yet but once that happens, you can bet we will have millions tied up in that network.

Bitcoin is not really anonymous because other people can see the wallet address when sending and receiving bitcoins. every transaction in bitcoin is listed on a ledger called blockchain. In blockchain, only bitcoin addresses and the number of bitcoins received or sent can be seen. if anonymous cannot see who the sender is and the address of the sender's wallet.

In this world there is nothing anonymous. When you exchange bitcoin for cash, then in fact anonymity disappears. The bitcoin address can also be tracked and so on.

I think in some situations, Bitcoin could even be less anonymous than cash payments in hand. That's why you shouldn't do things you would later be ashamed/afraid of.

If you become rich, these problems will be very small for you. And you will solve them without the help of outside people.

You can check any transaction have being ever made but you will never know who was the owner of wallets. Bitcoin is really anonymous and if you are not talking a lot you are fine. Wink
Yeah these coins are really anonymous. They are first source of income that is this big anonymous. You can’t even know who are saving these coins. Where these coins are and how have how much coins. Still, these coins are just getting more famous and popular day by day. This anonymity helps people keep their investments hide and thus you are safe from bad eye.

Nope your wrong bitcoin is not anonymous since every transaction made by the people are so visible and listed on blockchain. But there's nothing to worried for that since those one is totally ok but if people find it disturbing then maybe they are doing some illegal things on bitcoins ecosystem.
The founder of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, is the one anonymous. Moreover, it allows its users to send and receive payments with a high level of privacy and any other form of money as well. The use of Bitcoin has a broad public records. Various channels exist to protect users' privacy, and more are expected to come. In some cases, concerns arise that other private transactions could be used illegally with Bitcoin. I still strongly believe that Bitcoin is backed up by a stronger system that prevents from a high range of illegal activities.

My questions is not on the technical side, since obviously you can create an address in a very much anonymous way. However, when it comes to spending it or convert it into fiat or even when spending it on a legit shop online you have to leave an identity trace.

I know that with small transactions is fine, under the radar basically, but what happens with significant ammounts?

I am asking this because I intend to become rich in 4 or 5 weeks Grin Grin
No its not anonymous, google about it bro.

My friend told me that bitcoin has a pseudo-anonymous system, where all your transactions are recorded on a ledger. Just like in basic accounting, it is the summary of all account that have a record. Going back, in bitcoin the ledger is called the blockchain. Also, the bitcoin address and the amount of bitcoin used or received/sent can be seen. In addition, your personal information is not represented to the public.

no. Bitcoin is not anonymous but some alts like monero are the ones who is real anonymous . although bitcoin can become anonymous if you mix it using a mixing service such as chipmixer.

no. Bitcoin is not a source of income and it isnt also the first source of income. Bitcoin is a digital currency or a crypto currency that can be used when buying online. although there are jobs online or in the forum that pays in bitcoin , that is why it is mistaken as a source of income.

Yes you can. You can still be able to trace someone and check their available balance if you follow or click their wallet address.

i agree with this.

No it isnt. Being anonymous does not mean to hide your investment from scammers or any other criminal people that can potentially steal your coins. Being anonymous means to only protect your identity so that you wont expose it to public.

You can state that genuine cash isn't generally unknown, unless you're entirely managing cash in your grasp. So once you change over it into cash, at that point it's not Bitcoin any longer.

One of the main features people usually link to bitcoin is anonymity, but is bitcoin completely anonymous? On the one hand,it is entirely anonymous. On the other,it is completely transparent and trackable since all transaction are recorded in a public ledger.
Perhaps in the transaction can just like that because we do not know for sure with who we are doing transactions in bitcoin we just know the name that he used there without we know who he actually

I so agree. It can never be anonymous because pseudonym is used. It is also recorded in the ledger, so there can be an evidence too. The only difference is that we can make another profile for us or shall we say we can hide our true self just like wearing a mask.

It's not actually anonymous it's a pseudonymous , which we can see the different transaction made by the users around the crypto world but still we can't see , we can't trace who is the person beyond that.

It's one of the best features or factors of bitcoin , the transaction made is anonymous , you can see how much but the person behind it no.

And this is one of the main reason why the government are afraid they can't see or control it , sometimes it use by the criminals , by the illegal transactions though.

Bitcoin lets you do all this without revealing your identity. But at the same time, it’s a system that operates completely in the public view. All Bitcoin transactions are recorded online for anyone to see, lending a certain transparency to the system. Bitcoin stores details of every single transaction that ever happened in the network in a huge version of a general ledger, called the blockchain.

The public listing only shows the transaction ID and the amount of currency transferred. You will be anonymous in the system because you don’t need to provide any of your personal details like your name, address, email, phone number, etc.
