I use it as one of the sources for information and I agree that you should not believe only him, as any sources of information in our time is to recheck.

The site is still safe, but I would not recommend using it as the main source of information, since there is information it has been compromised, it is better to differentiate your information sources and use analogous sites.

It seems to me that CMC as a whole also has a manipulative effect on people, because it is not the first time that they are accused of not always publishing the right information, but they are very good at getting out of the situation.

I’m starting to worry about coinmarketcap lately, after series of deceit and spammish activity
The following are my observed reasons

1. Many dead projects still on cmc

2. Market cap is fake Cox many projects which have seized to trade adds up to the market cap

3. Cmc doesn't verify authenticity of projects before listing it

4. CMC now have ads of fake icos on their website thereby leading people to scammers

Funny enough so many NOOBS believe anything and everything dey see on cmc to be authentic

Let me stop here and anyone against it should bring a proof to counter it
Or offer more options
Instead of trying to castigate the coinmarketcap, it is best to offer valuable advice that can make it better. Come to think of it, if everyone begins to discredit the information on cmc, how then do we determine or know the price of cryptocurrencies?

Those ads even if it's fake or not, cmc has nothing to do with it as long as they pay for the ads they make on cmc website. Also those dead project has paid for their listings on cmc so the contract is done, dead or alive they will be listed as what the contract has stated. It all comes down to money in business and don't expect it to be perfect for you.

You need't to be worried because you don't have better sites than coinmarketcap. Google is the world's best and trusted searchengine but there you can show some unnecessary adds. This is not a matter at all. As an investor, you have chose a good and strong coin that have future potentiality and realistic and should reject shit coins. It is your duty, not for coinmarketcap.

I haven't used CMC for a long time because I prefer to immediately see the price situation in the market because in my opinion CMC is late in updating prices and sometimes not the same as market situation
Not all coins are listed on CMC and even old and existing coins aren't shown up.  CMC price doesn't matter cause we actually wanting to know the exactly in any exchanges as there is an actual trades happening.  Any price fluctuations happen doesn't appear directly and tales a while before it become updated. So no worries about CMC.
I also still use CMC to monitor the market and I think CMC is fine. I think CMC is like the parent market because it considers the prices of many markets and determines it so sometimes the prices differ slightly or sometimes CMC is late because CMC displays average prices.
You should stop say a bullshit about CMC. CMC has a problem when there was a scam that disappear and they must remove it from the overall total coin in the market.
CMC is a bit different compared to the coingecko.

I think it is safe and the safest way to use coinmarketcap is to focus on the prices and markets
And also ensure to do researches on them by checking the trading volume amongst others

Coinmarketcap remains a very good website despite the dips

So far I use Coinmarketcap still safe and comfortable, I only invest in the top coinmarketcap coins, so I avoid fraudulent projects.

Based on my own definition, "I see CMC as crypto display screen." It is a site meant to give you information of coins that are listed on it. If does not screen these coins whether they are scam or not. So it it left for you that is investing in those coins, to do your own research and be sure you are going for a coin of your choice and that will not cause you any firm of loss.
What I find interesting is that people want to invest in a market which can give huge profits and yet they want the market to not present any danger or any possibility of being scammed and such a thing is not possible, no website can protect us from our own mistakes, if we decide to invest in the market of cryptocurrencies we need to accept full responsibility for our actions otherwise it is better to get out of the market and invest in something safer like bonds.

This is just a site that is out to make profit. They are only providing the service of making investors to easily assess information on different coins at the same time.
Although, I understand that they need to be strict to some extent, but these guys still want to make some money.

Yes, I was also alarmed by the mention of CMC safe Smiley.

This site remains a good radar for initial investigation. Identifying fraudsters is not an CMC task. The user can determine if the project is scam.

If there are dead coins and still in coinmarketcap, I think that is still a natural thing. Because coinmarketcap only provides information based on total market cap. If the total market cap is less, then the ranking is at the bottom. But the problem with the project being advertised there, then doing scams, can drop the coinmarketcap reputation.

The safety allegation scared me, the 'safe' word is a serious word now and should be careful used before you cause heart attack for someone. Their are lots of options for the coins detail, you can search for that. THey are still meant to be compared with CMC, we need different sources for our information in such a market. All this information are still subjective

I think you are very much wrong. Firstly cmc is a open source project they are not funded by anyone and not charged you for the information. What they do is collect some information how a information could be scam. It is wrong or right that's up to you. If you don't have any knowledge then it is hard to pick the right information. And the whole process is like coin can fill up the form to show their information about trading at cmc. If the coin is crossed some preset volume then cmc approved it add through the API. Just add the exchange API. That's it. And about scammy ico post. I show some it's not up to them it's from Google.

CMC is still the only site we know for now when it comes to checking prices of coins. I believe there's some level to be attained before any coin is listed on CMC, and if the coin later falls below that level or standard, CMC should not be held for listing such coin.

I think you can't completely trust anyone. Even verified website. You need to check everything by yourself. So don't blame coinmarketcap.
