Leading Crypto Sports Betting & Casino Platform

Coinmarketcap is still the most used platform for quick information about market situation and cryptocurrencies price. I dont see that coinmarketcap try to cheat someone.
There are a lot of alternatives are available for coinmarketcap and also with many better features. Coinmarketcap is seeming like a paid heaven for shitcoins and they are simply advertising most of the scammy ICOs too. They may not be intentionally cheat us but they are not taking care of us in the right manner like how a famous and highly reputed platform should be doing. I'm not seeing coinmarketcap as a safe reference site anymore.

The fact is that.nobodg or no organisation is perfect, there are thousands of tokens and coins listed at CMC and it would be hard to keep track of them all no matter how hard working you are as the Devs.

coinmarketcap is still one of the best, Listing coin is not the only service it renders, more also the top listed coin are the one one should always consider and the revelation of fake volume exchange should help with choice of exchange and coin. Nowadays I have seen some trading even at high volume was not listed, the reason be I dont know. Asides CMC, I also use coingecko, which provides more information, sometime price can differ and this can help to compare.

I agree that coinmarketcap should be more accurate about total circulating supply (for example DECENT has been wrong since launch 1 and a half year ago) and market prices.

Personally, CMC to me is just a website where I check the price of tokens, if you go there for additionla information about any coin, you have to make additional research as well.. the fact is that coins are just too many and it would be almost impossible to keep track of all of them.

Was cmc ever "safe"?
Common sense should e enough to realize that cmc isn't reliable at all.
It's like wikipedia but with horrible advertising thrown in.

But, just like wikipedia, I find it to be an incredible resource.
Not to see the value of a coin (that has to be done at the actual exchange it is on).
But as a reference point to further research.
The most useful thing is to see the trading volume and where it is being traded.
For older coins, it is also very usefull to see the early trading history, before cmc got all corporate.

Other then that, meh. Or it is downright scammy.

I’m starting to worry about coinmarketcap lately, after series of deceit and spammish activity
The following are my observed reasons

1. Many dead projects still on cmc

2. Market cap is fake Cox many projects which have seized to trade adds up to the market cap

3. Cmc doesn't verify authenticity of projects before listing it

4. CMC now have ads of fake icos on their website thereby leading people to scammers

Funny enough so many NOOBS believe anything and everything dey see on cmc to be authentic

Let me stop here and anyone against it should bring a proof to counter it
Or offer more options
You are talking nonsense!
1) CMC will not check whether the project is alive or not, he will check only the turnover of this coin on the exchanges!
2) CMC will not check if there is any speculation with a coin. From this it follows that coins can get into the top which speculate!
3) CMC and should not check the authenticity of the coin, kmk considers the turnover of the coin on all exchanges, kmk is not a regulator!
4) CMC also needs money for life and they take it from advertising projects, they do not force you to invest in projects they just sell advertising as well as the forum where we write, it even says that they are not responsible for it.
Read more and look for information and think with your head and not believe your eyes!

Yeah there are some dead projects on CMC , but the only thing that CMC cares about is their volumes , as long as they are treatable and they have volume every day , CMC wont remove them , I don't think CMC is a scam because it shows numbers correctly .

CMC in my opinion is still the best at this time many people visit the website, even though there are many who are deceitful after entering CMC but I'm sure the CMC will minimize for coins that are less active.

Your attitude in this market should be one of distrust and to do your due diligence in any coin in which you would like to invest, even if your accusations are true no website can offer its users the certainty that what you are seeing is authentic or that you are protected from scammers, just look at Bitconnect, it was a popular coin when it existed despite all the warnings of members in the forum that it was a scam, and if people were willing to trade such coin despite that knowledge then websites kept track of it and included it in their lists.

Well, we cannot really point out what CMC can do as we ourselves are also having difficulties in filtering out such bad projects in the market. Well, maybe we can help a little bit to sustain the liability of CMC.

CMC and others crypto tracker actually give benefits to the many people that want to start in crypto, they give alot of information about data of the each crypto. Now as investor and trader we should be has enough skill to understanding fundamental of the project by learn with others expert.

I think you are right, as an individual, we all have to learn to pick informations from multiple sources and identify the truth from it.
In that sense, we should only take coinmarketcap as an answer providing centre regarding project listing, and also exchanges.

All other answers should be based on your persona research work

Why do you blame cmc for that? Coinmarketcap is just like a site for information and it's not their responsibility to tell the buyers or traders on what's legit or not. And the ads like that are not just on cmc but also everywhere and again it's your choice to check it's legitimacy and not by them.

It is very probable all your point are right but .. why do you expect CMC will list only real, quality and proven projects? Their strategy is to be a listing site for all cryptocurrencies/cryptoassets. The research is then on you  Cool
yeah, i think you are right about this.
it doesn't matter if CMC registers many names of coins in it, the important thing is we have to be more wise and research more about the coin before we choose it.

CoinmarketCap in any case shows the data that it needs. I think that today every person who visits this site understands this, and a very large number of people visit this site. And probably these guys get a lot of money.
They earn more through the advertisements and of course the coin listing. But since we are not paying anything I can still say that this site is still reliable for more crypto information, but if you know some site to replace CMC then go for it but as far as i know CMC is still better.

If you want to proving about the truth of something, you need many sources to proof it. CMC not the site that can give you all about crypto project, what is "bla bla" token, or something like that. CMC just give you coin/token that already have enough volume on the market.
CMC don't care about dead project, they can remove from their listed coin/token when its not reached minimum requirement.

Coinmarketcap unable to verified which projects are SCAM or Legit because this is not responsibility to detect SCAM project.
But they asking a lot of information as like project website and all social media activities and main thing is daily trade volume.
