I think that for such a period you can invest in any coin of the top 50 . And as for ETH, I think it will definitely be in the future so it's safe to take.
If u want to hold for 5 years also u can invest to any altcoin with small market cap with bright future coins like Wanchain, Ziliqa, Ark or Stratis I think they ll be more profitable than Ethereum for long term.
