in my opinion, a long-term holding brings quite a good profit, a good idea, I think that in 5-10 years you will increase your financial condition.
I believe that ethereum is perfect for long-term investment, because Eth is still reliable for now because its position is behind Bitcoin for now, but Ethereum has great potential to grow and has excellent team and oppurtunity to improve, One can invest Ethereum blindly at this present moment.

I don't think its a good choice to hold your ETH for a very long period of 6-10 years?? Maybe you can get a profit, but with that long period of time you will never know what will happen next..
I would say that ethereum is propably the best coins to invest in long term. Ethereum was back then when it was released a small revolution in the cryptocurrency world. It was the first cryptocurrency with the smart contract plattform on their blockchain. Right now the are many projects with real usecase who are build on their blockchain plattform. When these projects are fully developed and used by the copanys, it will be no hold anymore for ethereum.
I prefer doing some Short trading with my ether than hiding it for a long period of time. Buy when the market deeps and sell when there is a rise in price.
