Yes you can trust ethereum. 5-10 years is a long period of time, If I were you, I will use 20-30% of my coin in investing so that I can gain profit and at the same time I am holding.

I think when you are buying a coin which holds other coins on their network. Learn a bit more about ethereum, listen to vitaliks speak about his dream and make your own decisions. Afaik neo is in itself "another" eth in it's own market. It's far too early to know about Google's or Amazon's, this is aol vs Netscape. Trends may be radically different or painfully the same, but it has to be at your own conclusions.There’s the issue of Vitalik possibly spreading himself too thin with all the projects he’s taking on lately , but that could also be seen as a benefit to Ethereum being at the core of them all.I’d like to know people’s thoughts and to have a discussion around the things I may of missed or don’t understand.
Long term I think ETH will be around, I think for the points you mention it does have long term legs but I just don’t know how to value ETH long term, for example talk of SEC worried most but for me I thought, ok so ETH maybe more stable now because ico’s will clean house & there will be less scam ico’s.At least for now, I’ll buy and sell but I wouldn’t hold long term. I’m not sure what I’ll think in 6 months but my mind is open.Not sure how useful this post is
