Yes, this is a long term hold and if your horizon is 5 years then you add your ethereum in hardware wallet like trazor, ledger etc. as five years is a long period and only hardware wallets are 100% safe from any hacking attacks.
Yes its good for long term because it is a solid coin , it has working product , it is in top 5 in coinmarketcap , Many ico use erc20 to there ico . Hold it i predict that this will be more than 2000 dollars soon!
