It seems to me that keeping Ethereum in long-term growth is a good idea.After all, in all respects Ethereum is something that will undoubtedly grow.I lack the fact that a lot of applications use its platform and the development for years to come will improve,the transition to POS will grow immediately,and long-term retention of this asset will raise a good value! But if you play the mind-that part of Ethereum in quantity of at least 25% should be used for the purchase of other coins!
I think most of us have some sort of level of investment into ETH and might be thinking of holding it for a lengthy period of time while it is the second biggest and closest challenger to Bitcoin in the Altcoin world. But will ETH be able to keep up with the level of pressure growing in terms of supply with ICOs jumping on their tech and eventually a lot of ICOs cashing out at similar times which may be part of a form of driving the price of ETH down for various manipulative reasons?

For me, ethereum is a good long term and short term investment just like Bitcoin. Both has established their rank on crypto market, so it would be best to have both. Also having a hardware wallet is advisable if you want to have extra protection for your investments.

Ethereum is a good one to hold for the long term, but on the assumption that you are holding just only Ethereum, that is the only thing I may actually have to disagree with as you will be putting all your eggs in one basket.
