There might be governments which are totally corrupt. But in my country, it is not bad and at least some reporters and media are watching over them.

Nice to hear that the media personal can operate freely in your country. In many of the countries, such as Russia, Saudi Arabia, China, Venezuela.etc, the journalists are frequently kidnapped and killed if they report anything against the powerful members of the society. Even in the developed nations such as Spain and Italy, the journalists face a lot of harassment.

No, not all countries are corrupt. But there are very few of them. In other countries, corruption is very high. And no one can do anything with this.

Corruption is in every country and the degree of corruption depends on the government institutions willing to combat it. Corruption is a disease which undermine development in a country. It is more in developing country than developed ones.

Right. I think every country has a corrupt leader one way or another whether by small means or large scale corruption. Its greed. People kill to have a position in a government. They spend millions to have a seat in congress or senate. I don't think all of then have a noble intention of simply helping out constituents.

But there are countries much less corrupt such as Finland, New Zealand, Denmark and Sweden.

These countries are not corrupt because the people have very less tolerance for corruption. So the politicians never dare to take bribes or accept commissions. On the other hand, in countries such as Bangladesh, India and Egypt, the corrupt politicians are tolerated and even protected by their respective ethnic or caste groups.

In every country, I believe that there is corruption going on. It will never be gone unless the world is perfect and everyone is.

Every country is corrupt. Corruption is already exist in the ancient Times, The last empire where corruption is rampant is the Roman empire. Corruption is inherited by every nation and passes from generation to generation up to the present. Even in the resurrection of Jesus Christ involved corruption. But there are countries much less corrupt such as Finland, New Zealand, Denmark and Sweden.
You're right. Corruption has existed for a long time and we can not do anything about this. It will take a long time to at least somehow take away it.

As long as the world keeps turning, corruption never ever can be prevented and eliminated. Why?!!!
Because one of the base character of human is greedy or never satisfied with everything they have. They always want more more more and more. If they are enough rich, they also compare with another rich person. They want to be the best in their society. The best way to dig much money is with corruption, because it's easy and fast way to be rich.
Most of people who have power wanna exist in their society and if you wanna enter the socialita zone you must have power and much money. Because of greedy, they never enough with they have and corruption will be bigger. The effect of corruption of course minority people, the poor people always enter the poverty zone.

I don't know, but everyone from my country thinks that ours is the most corrupt in world. Is it the same in yours too? If so...why, or how come?

I think not. If every country is corrupt, then there will be no countries that are successful in terms of economy. Some countries are still well developed and has good standing in their respective economies, that's because some are not corrupt. In addition, the forms of government in all countries has effects on the corruption rate, I believe.

Every country has corruption. Only a naive person would think otherwise. And it doesn't have to do with how rich or how poor a country is. A rich country can manipulate the best, hide their corruption the best and ruin others the best.

I believe there is corruption in any but it depends on how rampant it is going on. There's always a few that has control of everything and it's very easy to manipulate the expenses to stole people's money.

All countries are corrupt - it's just that some are more corrupt than others. That's all.

Not really. There are a lot of countries out there, which are not corrupt. Examples are the Scandinavian nations (Iceland, Denmark, Norway.etc), New Zealand, Canada.etc. The populations in these countries are not very tolerant to corruption and that is the reason why they are not corrupt. Corruption is a real problem only in the third world nations.

There is, of course, no doubt that corruption is a big problem in the West. But amid all the finger-pointing, it's important to remember — and to continue to insist that, while all countries have corruption, they aren't all equally afflicted by the problem. Even more importantly, they are not corrupt in the same ....

Corruption gnaw at the soul of every country in the world, if even the leaders of the country who are mostly corrupt are not the one corrupt in the country you will see that people appointed to position of power are the corrupt ones, they are all seeking their own self interests and not that of the entire country.
