Most of the projects are very carefully hide their fraud for a long time, and you may even earn in some period of time but in the long term you will surely lose money. Do not invest in questionable projects

But many invest just in such projects in order to get a quick profit on the hype. I know people who do that way.

I think 80% rogue - 20 seriously. I see many projects that have been successful, you should study the project you invested.

Maybe we won't encounter a perfect project like Ethereum, but the real project still exists, we need more careful investment to reduce losses!

Everybody keeps on saying scam scam scam for all of these ICO's. 90% of them are crap, yes. BUT there is the 10% of them, like vector, who are absolutely not scams. They are good projects that will really help the crypto community grow and its not fair to call an ICO a scam until you have actually researched it and you are sure it is a scam.

Just my two satoshis...

Nope. Though there has are ICO scam campaigns but not all of it are scam you just need to choose wisely. Starting from the white paper of the project read it and understand their goal, campaign manager look if their campaign manager is responsible to handle their members, Bounty presentation because it can attract a participant to join their campaign.

You have asked, and on the other side you answered that question. As you stated that 10% of ICOs are legit, including vectors, I also think that not all ICOs are scam. There are still projects that are trying to build the project honestly.

in my opinion, 80% ico is not a scam, it just fails to achieve its goals, investors are the ones that are relied on by Dev ico. ico will not run without investors who invest in it

Although the language is relatively straightforward, but it is true, competition in the market requires a breakthrough in technology, which is very difficult. Future new coins may cancel the ICO link.

I agree with your opinion, indeed almost all of them are scams, but that's the small thing we have to do to avoid getting a scam. many threads say about scams and how to avoid them. please just look at the discussion

There are several legit Ico projects it's depends on the people behind of it choices a ICO project that rise money over a million and have a partnership on a big company just like yahoo or nasdaq and aware of there live blockchain activity like attending a summit or a seminar. Live ICO project have a good chances that the project is not Scam.

As a whole, no. There are some scams out there, certainly - but the biggest risk is generally that the platform doesn’t get built, doesn’t work, isn’t adopted by a critical mass, etc. (Waves, looking at you.

they are not scams. The most successful ICO is Ethereum. Can you call Ethereum a scam? Their founder seems to live in Russian Kremlin these days Smiley He doesn’t seem to be in troubles though.

I do agree by far the majority of the ICOs are scams but one thing to look out for is the bounty manager.

If the bounty manager is a known scammer and known to have multiple accounts (such as 520bit and whitetoo and Russian RoyalTeam scammers) just to flood threads to create fake buzz and hype, then I would automatically assume the ICO must be a scam.

No, I don't think that such a big part of ICOs can be scam. Actually this is because of a big number of scams in ICOs and bounties and its affected the whole ICO image, but not 90% are scam.
ICOs are basically as a rides for the development of innovation now indeed many use it for things that are not useful and precisely to crimes such as fundraising after it can be escaped without any responsibility, but not all ICOs are now this good ICO is also still a lot
Yes, what is needed is that we all must have the ability to analyze and choose ico that is of high quality. simply that when we have the ability to choose the right projects ico then we can reduce the scam project. Project scams will not develop if we do not invest in them. so our ability is very important and educate that projects that are really good and which projects are scam. Our choices will determine the direction of the development of projects ico, I am sure that when investors become more careful, it will significantly affect the world of digital currency to be better.
