If an ICO does not raise enough funds, or postponing the token distribution or the listings on exchanges or not fulfilling
their promises on time, it does not mean automatically in every case that it is scam. This is business and sometimes
things go wrong, but usually they can be fixed.

not all ICOs are a scam, many are just not getting investors (not reaching Softcap) so they have to extend the duration of the ICO or wait for the market to rise before listing on the exchanger, A scam ICO is the one who really runs a sales fund..

Nowadays, more than 95% of this is a scam, but there are projects that must survive during this difficult period, as a rule, behind such projects there is a very necessary idea of the example #swachhcoin. The project will pay people for their trash. At the moment, the bonus is 5%, you can buy coins by the end of October. I advise you to see the project.

maybe less than 95% mate,, i think its about 75% ICO are failed,,
because the project didn't collect enough funds to develop the project
for now investors should be smarter to choose a good ICO project  Wink

99.9 is scam Angry

That percentage I already think too much believe that about 70% at most the other 30% are serious companies!

How about you make it 50-50. It's too much also to think that 30% are serious ICO. Yes it's easy to scam in ICO but there are also many projects that are serious in their platform just like those that are listed in exchanges where in hundreds if not thousands are already had working products.

No. Although they are many scam ICOs and many have collected money and abandoned the project with no development whatsoever but then they are many ICOs out there that have stayed true to their words.

You're right! Of course, before you say that this or that ico scam, you need to study everything and have the facts, but the facts can only be obtained when the ico is completed. But first you need to understand what is ico. Perhaps many do not correctly understand their purpose. I personally understand it, ico are investment projects that want to raise funds for launching a business, platform, product, and so on. That is, it’s like a start-up, a project that will retain its strengths and capabilities, and of course this does not mean that all projects will be lucky to become successful. At best, just these 10% of all can succeed. I do not take into account those ico, the admins of which are simply originally fraudsters, we cannot know the intention of the people, we can only to expect. We also need to clearly understand what a scam is. If the project works, it pays, but you personally don’t like it or don’t pay for some reason, it cannot by definition be called a scam. Scam is when a project stops paying or fulfilling its obligations at least financially. As for me, ico is a good tool for attracting investments to create or launch a specific product.

Absolutely not. There are many good ones and I know even those who shout scam to all ICOs do invest in some of them. I have developed the interest of reading whitepapers and to tell the truth, many of these ICOs are really meant to solve real world problem.

Absolutely no, Ethereum, Neo and  the rest of top 100 listed on coinmarketcap are all ICO. If you generalize ICO are all scam then some alts sitting in top 100 are scam. Its about  picking the right project.

Everybody keeps on saying scam scam scam for all of these ICO's. 90% of them are crap, yes. BUT there is the 10% of them, like vector, who are absolutely not scams. They are good projects that will really help the crypto community grow and its not fair to call an ICO a scam until you have actually researched it and you are sure it is a scam.

Just my two satoshis...
you can't generalize for all ico,  not all ico are scam but the ratio of the scam ico to others is just too high, that is why it's always advisable to do a thorough research before investing in any ico

not all ICOs are scams of those who say they may not really understand the market situation. many projects have succeeded in achieving hardcap but prices are far from ICO prices. and spread fud and make panic so the price gets lower. yes this is crypto you have to realize it. Cheesy Grin

from reality there are many ico scams but we need to observe first that not all scams. It is only natural for many people to complain about the ICO scam because this year it was very bad, not just ICO projects or others but the market was relatively declining. it's better we stop complaining and find solutions for the next step that might be worse than this.

I will say yes at their initial stage most if not all are with these two mind of a thing, is either it works out the way they want or the other way around and find a way to get away with your money. Most of them even lies about what they make in the first week of their ico just to entice investors, is that not the beginning of scam. Only 1 in 100 can proceed if softcap not reach

Recently I saw statistics which shows that the amount of investments over the past 10 months has fallen more than 20 times. It seems to me that this is precisely the reason why all projects now cannot collect the necessary amount of money.
First of all, the situation is so precisely because of the poor state of the market and the large number of fraudsters in the company’s ico market. Because of this, many investors went to buy coins on the stock exchange, and not to invest in the company ico.

I have seen a lot of bad experiences with ICOs but for sure not every ICO is a scam. It is important to search for the good one because there are many of them.
not every coi  is a scam one andd you need to be optimistic about that so you should not get too paranoid ablut scammers and avoiding them is not that hard

Not everyone, just have 15-20% percent where that SCUM but each time they will become more and more,as the projects will now be tested in the SEC to pass, etc., and even now just the market is so weak and fell strongly because of this, many initially promising projects that were set to work could not raise the necessary money,or realized that technically will not be able to do what they offer, and decided to run away with the money and throw investors.
