After what happened to many failed ICO projects, of course, many people hesitate to invest. But I think investing in an ICO project is still profitable. However, you must be smart in determining ICO choices.
unfortunately to choose ico that really benefits us now is very difficult. we cannot easily choose ico like it used to, because now iso is like a trap that can run away our money.

Investing in ICO is still very good, but you must be careful when choosing an ICO project. Many ICO projects fail because they have difficulty collecting initial funds. So, you have to look for projects whose sales have reached Soft Cap.
yes, it's still good, depending on the ICO you are following. at present, many of my friends have benefited from several ICOs. maybe the ICO they are following is pretty good, and has a fast movement. even some ICOs that started this year, several projects have entered the market and have high prices. actually it depends on the project you are following.

Yes, investing in an ICO project is still profitable, but it's only profitable if you find a project that can be successfully developed and entered into a token exchange.
Which is right now very rare due to the condition of the market Most ICOs are even not ready to launch now due to the fact they might not collect enough funds for their project and then maybe market instability might step-in crashing the rest of their little strategy..You want to invest search for the most updated ico and the HODL for the time being

Investing in ico is profitable but you have to choose really good projects, but  now it is difficult to find good ico projects because there are many projects that are scams, you need to have enough experience and knowledge to distinguish them .

You have to be careful all the time, you won't be successful if you just invest blindly.
The higher rate of scams in the market lately, that should give you a warning to be more cautious and study harder prior investing in a certain project.
I think that in order to choose an ICO, many previous investigations must be taken into account, it is also good to believe that the investment in an ICO will give you benefits in the short term, apart from the fact that if it is proven that the funds collected are being executed, what they promised is a total success, maybe the reputation of the ICO has been tarnished by many cases of fraud, now they are implemented many tracking mechanisms that will avoid scams, this is a plus to believe in technology and projects that can continue to run.

Until market gets more bullish, only some very good projects are successful and profitable. Recent Bittorrent ICO is a good example of this. The XAU gold poken in my signature should be great also.

It's difficult to say it, it takes time for a project to mature and know the real value out of it. But I think it's hard to look for a project were we can see instant gain like last year were profit are instant after listing in an exchange. There are  still promising ICO out there.

Hello everyone, I have seen many failed projects recently. I have received many emails regarding investing on ICOs, so is it still a good time to invest? I didn't made good with my earlier investments. Is there still a future for ERC-20 tokens?
Now is a bad time to invest in ICOs, especially since there has been a lot of scam - Wall Street Journal newspaper conducted a study of more than 3 thousand "white papers" of ICO projects. It turned out that more than 16% of them contain significant borrowing, signs of scam or theft of other people's ideas. In addition, several dozen projects distorted information about their team or did not specify its members at all. So invest carefully Wink

I have seen many failed projects too and nowadays, I see more failed projects than old times. I have received about 4-5 emails about Airdrop or Ico in a day. I will not invest ICOs anymore. If cryptocurrency's prices will go up to old high prices, I will think about it again but now investing cryptocurrency directly is better than investing ICOs
direct communication and seeing the reaction of their community is mandatory, don't be too skeptical of project failures, most ICOs who succeed in marketing choose to delay distribution or whatever to save their project. this is better than a fraud project.

I am optimistic about the ICO that I follow because the team of developers, and even investors, has a vision to continue to see the potential of the coin by looking at the right time for the next plan.

I honestly would not say that it is very profitable and it may bring you no profit, you need to choose projects very carefully, but in general I think that this is not a very good decision for what to do with your investment

ICO investment is a double edged sword. It could make or ruin you in an instant. That being said, there are a few ICOs like Ternion, that I like which looks good. You could go through its Whitepaper if you like. https://ternion.io/?utm_source=bitcointalk&utm_newbie=bounty

I have long stopped investing in ICO. A few months ago, I realized that such investments bring me losses. At the moment, it is irrational.

No, it is not profitable. It seems to me that we have to stop such investments, because most of them bring losses.

At this moment, investing in icos is risky because there is a higher possibility to lose profit that to earn due to the influence of negative market behavior in the price of the ico tokens. Actually there are even rumors that Icos will stop on the next year but hopefully it won't because many bounty hunters are relying in campaigns in order to make profit.

Better to invest at non ICO project. with self funded that would be better you can invest it with mining started the begining of the project or buying a coin in a exchange. ICO only want to raise money for they own benefit, and make the company only grow
