I think icos with time got less and less chance to hit jackpots, because new coins are just erc20 without any planning to go huge, just to pump and dump.

Its kinda safe , but if you look from other side its like Gamble 50/50 Chance that you will profit . But if you study project and do some review on ICO'S you can make like 60-70% Chance to get profit. Ofcourse you can get lucky and get x100 or more Smiley Remember always Invest what you can afford to lose and you will be fine

Nobody can guarantee you anything in the market for crypto currency. But if you carefully approach the choice of a company for investment, then your investments will in time bring a fairly good profit. The main thing is to choose the ICO for investment.

There are no guarantees on the crypto market. You yourself must make a decision about investing. But you must understand that you can lose everything. Now there is a lot of ICO, where the risk of losing money is minimal. Just need to understand this process. Not all coins grow at once, but if the project is good, then it will bring profit in the future.

This is a venture capital market and we should be prepared mentally to lose the account. With the ICO nowadays, it is difficult and risky to choose a good ICO.

nowadays, there are so many scam Ico coming out, you must have an investigative research in every Ico you want to participate with. Read their whitepaper, have some questions with their support, visit their website if they have. And if you think that this project is not scam then it is safe to invest.

Investing is all about risk, talking about safe or not then its depends on many things. Lets say you are beginner in this thing, so you need to learn and do many research to know deeply about an ICO, you have to learn their fundamentals such like their ideas of the project, the team composition, who is behind the project, the product they will produce, the plan (its in their whitepaper), how the market responses to their project. By learning those things you will found out which is ICO safe and worth to invest.

Right now there are many ICOs coming out, is it really safe to participate in any of it and spend that much? In participating ICOs I have high hopes that these coins could be the next Bitcoin or other currencies that are really going up in the market.
It is safe to join ICOs, only if you have ran a background check on the Team behind it. As far as I have experienced in investing on ICOs I have learned that There are ICOs who have an unreliable team that are inexplicable inexperienced on the development of their Project. This results in Scams, Failures, and HYIP types of ICOs. In order to always be safe in ICOs, You must do Your research carefully and speculatively. Research for it's team, their Platform, if it's unique and can help the economy. Always be alert of the teams updates and actions join their social media groups and always stay updated. In short, participating in ICOs is safe only if You are patient enough to do all these thigs I have said. Do not be fooled by Scam ICOs.

Of course it is safe to participate in ICO's but safest thing in participating ICOs are joining their bounty campaigns. If you want to invest, we must doing some research because there a bounty is scam. Like thoroughly go for whitepapers, roadmap and development team of that ICO.

ICO is a fundraising mechanism where new projects sell their underlying crypto tokens in exchange for bitcoin and ether. As the company’s value gets higher and becomes well established in the marketplace, the token’s value rises as well, which enables investors to gain more profits.
Unfortunately the crypto space has become riddled with scams and cons. Its difficult to tell sometimes which projects are true, from those that are only designed as money grabbers.
In order to differentiate the scam and con ICOs from those that are true, we need to look at the following; The team, 3rd party/independent escrow provider, is the website secure?, Community response, KYC/AML - Does the project implement or conduct any form of KYC (Know Your Customer) or AML (Anti Money Laundering) processes?

If the question is about safety , the answer is generally yes as the processes involve in ICO investing is guarded by security processes but if you pertain to the profitability aspect of ICOs, that is without definite assurance. Some ICOs are still gaining certain moonability but they are not as attractive nowadays as before because of the FUDs surrounding bitcoin. In my case, I suspend ICOs investing and I am just focusing right now on bounties.

As you said, there are so many ICOs coming out every week.
It is very common you find the price is below ICO once it hits exchange.
So you need to distinguish the best ones from hundreds of others.

Yes it safe to participate in the ICO. Just ensure that the ICO you choose is legit and with a great platform offer. To ensure the ICO you choose is good read first the white paper because all information you want to know in the ICO is in there also you will notice through reading whitepaper if the target and vision of ICO is realistic and achievable. Participating in ICO is a form of investment.

I cannot say that it is safe to invest in an ICO because there is a big possibillity that the ICO you are investing is just a scam. In order to miminize this risk study first the ICO before investing and invest only what you can afford to lose.

There is no wrong to participate in ICO's and this is a big chance for every free lancer to earn some and some ICO also offering bounty programs which will be easy to earn their tokens,...

You are obviously newcomer in the ICO. Even if you do not invest in projects, but simply participate in the bounty, you can lose time due to the fact that the ICO will be a scum and will not pay the reward to hunters after crowdsale.

Participating in ICO can be a great opportunity. In all cases, risk will be involved. It is a matter of how you define security, especially in the crypto-cardiac world. As far as I know, ICO is safe. You just need to make sure that you are not joining a fraud. Be sure to do a lot of research before joining. Just a telegram discussion about this ICO and see it from there as well. It might also be useful to know if this is good to invest.

Does someone think that a big profit is possible without risk?  With participation in ICO, you can get good %, but also you can get "0".  And in general the words "safety" and "investment" are not very connected.  Here you need to choose one of the two.  If someone   gives guarantees in the investments, then this is a lie.
