Every time we decide to participate in some ICO project we always take a chance and can only guess whether that project will be profitable or not because many of them have been showing negative results.
The approach should be very attentively. I choose ICO where the project, returns money in case of a failure and I don’t invest in projects in which developers raise money in their own wallet.
Not all of ICO are safe or legit. But some of ICO nowadays is really good investment. Before you joining in particular ICO, you should check first every details of their project.
Its mainly depends on how good the ICO is. And yes if the ico is good it is safe also it will worth your time. But be careful about some scammers. You need to investigate the ico you will choose, analyze their projects and also whose behind it.

You are right and I also think that it is still a big question right now that whether to go with them or not because at one side we are going with the money making way but at another side many types of ICOs are coming with new new concepts and saying that they will do best and few of them even with better concept scam people with bulk Investment and low buy order during the launch of the coin .Here in my opinion it is much better that don't go with ICO Investment directly but make lots of analysis yourself and also don't trust before to analyse yourself over the ICOs Rating websites because many times they give positive reviews with paid money by those ICOs .
It is safe to participate in the different ico's if you choose wisely don't participate in such ico's that's poorly suspicion because they are not trusted base in my experience those ico's or other with them they use kyc to manipulate others and use it to illegal thing.
I think if you do an in-depth study including studying the developer team's experience and looking for potential benefits from this project, it's safe, indeed there are some of them are total scams that will direct your investment to zero. other than that sometimes the project can fail so your money will be lost.

Because scammers are here now and they use ICO to scammed other people, everytime we invest or join in any ICO we should check everything from the projec to know what's their plan in the future.
I took a part in a few ICOs and I didnt get scammed or something like this.Some coins have grown a lot,some have fallen under ico price,but I still hope they will rise soon or later.
The 2nt Thing is in the Case if the Project Will not Succeed you Also Will Loose all of your Investment. but if we Say if it is Safe in Terms of Getting profit from the ico, I Can say there are Some that can give us huge Profit ,.

The probability that some coin will be the next bitcoin is not big, but still there. But it will not be easy to take his place. I think it depends on how well you know the project, and if you know a lot about an ico, then your risk will be small.
In my opinion i believe you will always need to look out for yourself, investing money is never "safe", your ROI is never a sure thing. Maybe with regulations and bans nowadays, it will be a little better and safer.
If you have a lot of knowledge about ICO and choose projects that you think are potential and can make a profit then you should invest.
But you should be more careful because there are so many projects scam and they are very professional scam!

Participate in ICO is always risky, especially if we don't know the basic history from the team member of the project. Because scam or not, good or not an ICO its basicly depends on their team member!!!
I think for now better do not partipicate in ICO, better way it's - investment to TOP alt's, they are have more chance "go to the moon(later)" than partipicate ICO.
Look at the top alt's they are perspective, and always progressing, like "Litecoin".

By the way, this is a very serious matter, the participation itself seems to be safe, but I do not consider the passage of KYC personally as safe for the investor, anything can happen
