Lying is a typical human activity. Actually when your kids start lying that's when you know their brain is maturing. That said, societies in the past had made sure to discourage it for the in-group. I think that these days the "progressive" culture is more permissive of it. Usually when it's in relation to pet movements - for example the slap on the wrists women get for making false accusations or when minorities report fake hate crimes like Juicy did.
Considering the kind of world we find ourselves now it seen lying is part of human nature. One of the major reason why most people conider telling lies instead of truth is because most people prefer lies than truth, people see lies as the easiest way of making their way to there needs and most people even regard liers than those that are upright.

Dear mate,this post seems very hilarious and it reminds me of something's I did during my childhood days..Can we as humans ever stop telling lies?
For the several years I've lived,I've never seen someone that doesn't lie or someone that's as truthful always.Lying is morally wrong and people don't get affected whenever they lie;lying impede the originality and natural qualities that we humans possess.Most times people lie for thier selfish interest,for a position,self gratification and even personal gains.
People lie to protect thier sins,just because they want to be in charge and take advantage of opportunities,illegal activities and possessions that they've acquired.Mind you,the consequences of lying is one of the banes in our society but people fail to accept or realize it.
People are too used to lies these days and we have to reduced the rate at which we disseminate fake information's for the betterment of the people in the society, in some situations, it is vey easy to identify what others are doing that involved lies and we may just only have to pretend as if we know nothing about that, this is what brought about deceit among the people in the society as well as their leaders when everyone is used to having the nature of telling lies in whatever they do.
Children are very imitative it is one of their natural behaviors. It can be seen in the society that people often take refuge in lies to gain their benefits as well as when they hear the leaders of the society or the state making false promises but they are not actually effective, children learn to lie from these things. See that the matter did not become so in a day or something takes a long time or process to be created. So gradually most of people in todays society resort to lies to take advantage of various opportunities. So we need to be aware now to save ourselves from this issue and we should all be active so that future generations don't fall victim to the current situation. 
I don't think all humans can stop telling lies in the society, because they are part of some of the things they are using to survive in their living, and the reason why I said it, is because as a business man I am, there is no way you can tell your customers the truth about the price of your products.
There are some people telling lies because they are forced to do that because they are under their Boss, which their Boss will tell them to lie for them to achieve their goal which the employee must lie to help his or her Boss to achieve their goal from the business.

Do you mean there are more truthful people in this world? I've never seen such people in my society before, because even our elderly people, who we believe will never tell lies, do so to survive in some position. It is difficult to find someone who is not telling lies in today's world, everything has changed, and in some situations, telling the truth will not get you far because some people believe everything that is lying, if you tell them the truth, they may disagree that you are lying to them. However, lies have already become a part of our bodies, and we can't survive without them.
Furthermore, people who lie seem to be business owners. Many business people in my country can increase the price of the goods they have in stock for more profits immediately as they notice that the price of the product they are selling increases from where they are purchasing their goods, and we, the customers, have nothing to do about it because we have no choice but to buy at the price they sell their products.

That is the quick way they can express themselves people by telling lies for people to believe that they are telling them the truth, because if you tell people the truth these days, it make them to see you as a bad person in the society because you don't want to lie like other people. Lying is something big that we can't avoid no matter how hard we try it must happen one way or the other, I think the only way to stop lying in the society is only if we humans stop existing without that there is nothing we can do to stop it. Is now part of us, mind you that lying can as well save and destroy a life, it all depends on how we use it. Here I am agreed about few things with now many are changing and trying to bring change but still it's not existing, and we have to accept this lying is part of life for many specially peoples those are interested to catch things which are not possible so they try to achieve with these things like lying are behaving like they are right, but they are doing things which are lying.Currently, where I am living I have too much lying things around me, but we can't talk about this with they are controlling all and not allowing to talk facts with openly talking shit and lying and asking peoples to follow them so it's part of our culture and nature both.

We are in a society where the leaders lie concurrently and the subject emulate from them. I was watching a skit some days ago and someone came for an interview and at the entrance of the gate he saw a huge amount of money he picked it up and put in his pocket not knowing that it was a set up and there was a camera to monitor and when he was finally interviewed they asked him about the money and he blatantly lied even when they played the cctv recordings for him he still denied it. The rate of lies in the society is quite alarming and it is increasing everyday .lastly I will advise all those who see lies as the best way to achieve success to desist from it because integrity pays alots and there is respect when people know you as sincere person .
