In my country, master degree will leads to increased in salary and position. If you are aiming to get a higher salary and a higher opportunity, you should consider to get master's degree. Many companies might invite you and you have a higher chance to be accepted

Yes a masters degree is still important but I think its necessary also to develop solid experience and track record. If you are skillful enough, I think its also a plus factor. I know having a masters degree is an edge but I know it requires a great investment and time to achieve it

I think that is important. Higher education is very important in our life, it gives us a chance to become more educated people, learn something more, find better and more paid work, get a bigger salary. So, I think that it is very good capital in the future of our life. So learn, learn and learn again. Good luck to you Smiley

Some times the master degree is just a thing to bill your client higher. No one will pay higher for the services done by a bachelor as compared to the services offered by a master degree holder. Just a business strategy,

it will depends on what career you are pursuing, if that is a self employeed or freelance type job i think education must not be the final key for success nut the experience and your feedback from the community. if you want a good position in a company i guess that is the time that master degree is important and relevant.

It's important if you don't know how to achieve a similar level of success without one.

According to me its important and not important. Depends on you at the last. What do you plan to do. if you want to be a leader it is not necessary to have a master degree. classic examples from society prove that people have grown rich and famous with basic education as well. It depends on how focused you are towards your goals.

Master degree is important if you're aiming for higher position in the company or higher salary but for me master degree is not that important if you know how to manage and enhance your knowledge and skill. But life now the higher education the person is the more opportunities.

If you plan to climb the corporate ladder, you NEED a master degree, because if you don't have it you will be blocked.
If you want an entrepreneurial career... throw to hell degrees and star to make experience :-)
No you don't. Quite a few of the most successful people in the world don't have a degree at all.

This is true. But if you compare, on average, a group of people with a certain level of education, whether master's, BA, high school or PhD, those with the highest qualifications come out on top in terms of income, health, and a number of other important correlates.

The problem is that in a lot of top positions in corporate or in public system, a master degree is mandatory, even if it doesn't have a relation with the job.
And, of course, in the academic field you can't do anything without degree.
But, I agree, in business is different.
Every good company will prefer somebody with excessive experience and proven skills over a graduate student. The only question is whether or not you're capable of picking up skills on your own.

Sorry to address you directly on this again, BTCMILLIONAIRE. You are completely correct in that a good company will prefer somebody with experience and proven skills over a graduate student. But that is only comparison. If there were a person with a proven track record, relevant experience, AND a Master's or higher degree, they would be more likely to be selected than somebody with the same skills but without university education -- and often, Master's and PhD's can be obtained by working with the industry or business you might be looking to apply for.
That's completely true. But most applicants with a degree don't have relevant experience or proven track records. And a person with the right skillset and no degree won't have any issues with finding a great job, while a mediocre graduate student very well will. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing degrees in general (I'm a postgrad myself), but they're definitely not a requirement and might even be hindersome for selfdriven and selfmotivated people. University, just like school, moves quite slowly which can be very frustrating.

In every company master degree participants are always considered first.

Who told you this? That may be true only in a very few companies, where scientific research is required. But in 99% of the firms, Masters degree is not going to make a difference. If you are in IT, banking, or manufacturing, a Masters degree will be of very little use. I am saying this out of my own experience. I am having a masters degree, but here in my company, it gives me zero advantage.

A degree is important, but not confuse education with degrees: a lot of success people don't have any degree, and a lot of teachers - all with degrees... - are very poor.
true, so I think that a person with good skills will always be more in demand than just having a degree

Yes it does matter. Education is something that cannot be stolen by anyone. Not everyone is blessed to finsih a degree. I was an undergraduate and I'm still thinking that life could have been easier if I have a degree. There will be a lot of opportunities and you can choose a job that you really want. If I got rich,  the only thing that is nissing is a degree.

In what I heard yes it is important to those who finish a four year course and the higher the unit you get the higher the salary you will have when you are already working. My instructor encourage us to get a master degree because when you are going to apply a job you can easily hired and most of all you can take a higher position in your job so I think master degree is important.

Agreeing with you. Knowledge is not enough, skill is what you really need in order to land a job.
