It can be important, and I would also say, that existance of a product is a sign of success for many investors, but as for me, this is not mandatory to be.
Having a product is very important for the appreciation of the currency, however, and it is very difficult to add the currency to the product and that makes 80% of the altcoins that exist today simply have no function.

As far as i know product is a main thing behind a project.If your idea is not productive/innovative/constructive/distinguished then you project have 100% chances to be successful and would be highly appreciated by community and adoption rate will be high,which means success is certain for this particular project.Definitely experience development team will bring high quality product/idea which will deliver fairly to community.
I feel the product is vital. Absolutely vital. Especially given the amount of money on the line. I think a product should be a major selling point for anybody analysing these projects
its important that an ICO has a great product as well. We invest not mainly on the tokens for profit but also on the benefits the products that we buy. The more usage , the more value it will have.

So here just a type of hype works , if hype will goes more rapidly spread in the online market then that will attract people much then any another ICOs .

Product is extremely important. Product+ marketing are key factors of sucess not only in crypto but also in any sphere. When you estimate ICO or coin, don't hesitate estimating all features of product and if it is really on demand.
