Having a good and working product helps the people to think that the project is working with something they can see and use. Also as an investor, knowing that there is a product being develop makes them feel secure and confident in making their investments. Besides thats the point on working on a project, to make a product that can be use by the users.

Yes it is. How can an ICO's acquire investors if there are no promising projects. What are we going to promote in bounties. So meaning the better the projects the more investors to have.
The project should have a very simple and understandable idea. The creation of something very multifaceted and comprehensive is likely to end at the stage of theoretical conversations. The creation of "killers" Facebook, Apple, McDonald's is very tempting, but how likely is it that a startup will be able to defeat the largest players in the market in a competitive struggle?
I don't think so , because there are good projects who build their project with the money which raised from ICO . if there is a working product , it would be nice but it's not a necessary in my opinion
Yes, the product of an ico is very essential because it should be one of the main reason why they created the ico. The product is the thing that helps them being identified as a good ico especially if the product is promising that makes the potential investors become interested and join them.

Product is not that important as 99 times out of 100 people do not do proper research. They mostly follow hypes: see "what coin to buy" questions on this forum.
