It seems to me that now there is no need to compare BTC and Ripple. They pursue completely different goals and are unlikely to compete with each other in the coming years. But in any case, Ripple is unlikely to be able to outperform BTC in terms of market capitalization. It is Bitcoin that will remain a confident leader.

It's very unlikely that ripple can get higher than bitcoin. Bitcoin accounts for more than half of all market caps put together and is at least five times the size of xrp in terms of market cap. I can't see xrp getting anywhere close to bitcoin.

absolute zero chance at all, how would ripple takes on the number one spot when every crypto people were in the sides of bitcoin and if bitcoin will be dethrone, theres a possibility that crypto will also fall back on its knees and im gonna hate to see and experience it.

Well, even Ethereum, I doubt that will bypass, the market is now heavily dominated by bitcoin and bitcoin all coins are held and react to what is happening with bitcoin!

No one can beat bitcoin even if the etherium cannot pass bitcoin into the number one spot and the XRP are now it's on the 2nd spot so they have possibly or a chance can beat bitcoin but in the future maybe.

Ripple can defeat Ethereum for only for short period of time but Ethereum will again snatch its no.2 position anytime. Ethereum is a much powerful coin then Ripple.

I am sure that Ripple keeping it's price falsely. Just because it's centralized. ETH and BTC are decentralized and their price is moving. That's why Ripple beated ETH for some time.

I don't see any reasons why XRP should beat bitcoin. these coins have different purposes and XRP is targeted to corporative usage while bitcoin is used by ordinary prople.

Bitcoin is not like Ethereum it is more recognized and trusted crypto of all time whereas XRP is a centralized coin so don't expect it to beat bitcoin.Anyway ethereum will replace the second position in the near future.

No, the ripple coin definitely has no chance of bypassing bitcoin in terms of price or capitalization. I think that many users simply will not allow the centralized cryptocurrency to become the leader of the whole decentralized cryptocurrency. It will not be normal. And this coin is very specific, as it is designed to serve the banking system. Ripple is now in growing demand because more and more banks and financial corporations are switching to using it. However, this will be its limit. This coin is not capable of anything more.

Well, to say that yes, we cannot have the sufficient reason to reason it out. If we say no, how come? Is BTC the best Crypto in the world? I guess some time other altcoin can surpass it but not sure if it will be XRP.

There is no chance that Ripple will overcome Bitcoin. This coin does not have any limited supply and I have huge doubts that it would ever touch 2-3 USD again. Hope that Ethereum will finally take the second spot back.

No, absolutely not.
Just do the math.
Look at their marketcaps, btc is FIVE times more than xrp.
Now look at the circulating supply of xrp and the current price.
Times it all up to see how much one xrp would need to cost in order to "beat" btc.
Yeah, it just ain't happening. BTC has 40% of the ENTIRE crypto market.

On top of that, xrp has no use.
The company uses blockchain technology to provide transfer services mainly to banks.
But the actual coin itself? no use whatsoever.
Something like that can never organically grow to dominate the market.

there is no such possibility. bitcoin will not be defeated even in the future bitcoin will still be number one. Ripple does not have the opportunity to compete with Bitcoin, even Ripple still cannot secure its current position. ethereum could have taken over the ripple position when the market recovered later.
