Since the begining ilegal activies used fiat, now they use as well crypto coins, thats nothing new, the money that circulates at dark marketplaces might be the same as the pib of the country, instead not allow it, would be better to all to be able to sell anything, guns should require a license, but make it not allowed just raise the price.
Anything or any form of currency can be used for both legal and illegal activities. So yes USD is also being used for illegal activities and it is almost impossible to stop all illegal activities so banning the currency will not be good way to reduce the currency related crimes. Same goes for bitcoin, stopping or banning bitcoin will not reduce the criminal activity associated or thought to be associated with bitcoin.
I agree as long as there is money involved and with value related to a transaction. It can really be used for different types of activities just like legal and illegal ones. That is how human being is creative everything they know that is going to be useful for their bad acts they are going to use it and going to keep on supporting it.
Agree with this, no matter how you ban the said currencies it would not stop the illegal activities because people would really find a way to o such things because they can earn money and with that they must find a hole or alternatives that they could able do the transaction. USD is onyl one of the currencies of the world and there are lots actually that you could possibly use.
The U.S. dollar is the best currency to use for illegal activities. It is accepted almost everywhere in the world and there is not much that you cannot buy with it. It is hard to fit to much on a carry-on though so it is hard to transport.

USD is universal currency. And no USD will not be hurt in the long run since they are already in the "long run" status if you know what I mean here.
Of course that is used for illegal activities, like any other currency in the world. People use US dollars to pay for drugs, weapons, child pornography pictures, for money laundering on Kayman Islands. And it's currency that is accepted almost everywhere on the world, so the abuse is even bigger.
I think the answer is yes, terrorist and smuggler prefer USD because it can be used in most of the country and the money exchanger always accept USD, and of course government cant ban fiat money, because it can disrupt their economic condition, the best things that governemnt can do is tighten up the security and freeze the account that being used for illegal action
Of course yes, USD is also being used for illegal activities. Same as bitcoin, but US Dollar is more big. I mean, the amount of money for illegal activites is really big amount of money than on bitcoin.
Not just USD but every currency is used for illegal activities and no one can do anything with that even the government i guess, because criminals don't do it in a way that they can be traced or let anyone get suspicious about the transactions or other things, even btc is used for such things i guess that is the reason why a lot of people are having their hands out of it.
Not only USD, any currencies can be use and being used in illegal activities, it does not depend on the currency but on the user itself. If a certain user involved in illegal operation then that means they are using the money for illegal activities.

If we say No then we are lying because for ilegal activities is being used everything and mostly any currency so is bitcoin and so is usd, we can't decide which isn't being used for these activities but based what we read and what we see, we can say that it is used.
It is an serious issue and this is not only limited to usd. There are some big money transferring rackets like havala where one can transfer money from one country to another without paying legal charges and fees so in other words, it’s illegal funds transfer racket. I am worried about the future of bitcoin and other crypto currencies because we can’t control the use of it and thus it might be misused for illegal purpose so not only usd but no currency is safe.
Bro, illegal activity is done with EVERY currency. In the 60', 70' and 80's USD was used very much to finance spionage, warfare, terrorism, and any illegal activity you dream. People were not interest in Rubles, Pesos or any small currency... Every AK-47 traded (without US presence) was sold by dollar, like every Katyusha or every Herstal gun. US dollar dominate the surface and in the under world. It could look weird but even when the money is in the otherside of the world it could be changed by USD so, indirectly the USD is used by illegal since it's the most accepted currency in the world. You can travel to the most underground place in Latin America or in Africa that you will see things been sold by USD.
Nope not just USD all currency around the world including bitcoin are being used in illegal activities, USD is just common to use thats why.
I see more and more articles of the USD being used for illegal activities, such as funding of terrorists and unconstitutional, illegal wars, funding of wars that cause severe infringement of civil liberties like the war on drugs, among other things. I am pretty sure that when goons smash into convenience stores and steal stuff, then the money they probably steal is USD, which makes it criminal currency. Any currency are been used to any illegal activities aslong it is not fake and acceptable by any banks, and if you travel in different countries well you can see really that they are using their currency to buy those illegaly forbidden by the law. And thats the reason why my conclusion is this since currencies are powerfull and it can make the good to be worst.
All of the currency will be used for illegal activities especially US dollar. Because we all know that this is mainly usd money can buy and spend anywhere in the world where you are . Billions of people daily using USD for billions of purposes which also includes illegal activities. A currency is not at all responsible for how it is being used because money flow hand to hand and it may reach to the hands of scammers /abusers too.
