Well because USD is the currency used for every country to trade.  It is the base of all.  It is like all commodities price worldwide depend on the price of USD.  I do not think that the government will ban it simply because it was used for illegal transactions.  Any money can be used for illegal things, USD was mostly used because it is the currency of the world.  And as long as people have evil minds to become rich quick and greedy, any currency or bitcoins will be used for their illegal transactions.

All types of currency and gold can be used for illegal activities. If you ban a certain currency, then they will just use a different currency. The best thing is to track the money an communications as best as you can.
I do think that Bitcoin is somewhat being used for illegal activities but this goes for everyone online currency because you just cannot control it as good.
But there are also allot of people that make use of Bitcoin in a normal way without doing anything criminal related.

Yes the dollar is used by criminals and for its activities its logical, the question is which currency is not used for criminal activities.
I think that we cannot stop this and that this will always be like this, its just the world..

The type of currency is rather irrelevant. Anything that has widespread value can be used to fund illegal activities, and more, should be expected to be doing so. USD, Euro, Yen, btc, gold, diamonds, drugs, etc. The medium is fungible, criminals will be criminals.

i think it's very possible, teroris have highest technology to mixing his money at bank without any trail, and untraceble.
i think people can buy anything use usd, the illegal activity with usd is very possible

Will this hurt USD in the long run? Will governments ban this just like they started to do with paying in cash for some services to harden the use of illegal activities, and money laundering?

goverment must ban any illegal activity, he must freeze the bank account of terorism
This is a satire thread m8, this is referencing all the threads where people concern-troll about "oh BTC is used in illegal terrorist activities" and it's not supposed to be taken literally.

Of course a government is going to try and stop illegal activities, it's not like that's anything new.

Always appreciate it when someone else points out that my thread was, indeed, satire, without having to personally admit to it.

i think not just USD that used for illegal activities, but in many currency in many country because we can see on television that on many country give news about arrested people for illegal activities and they using many currencies. but i think government will trying the best to stop this illegal activities to make a good stable government.
thats true, all the fiat currencies are used for illegal activities and we cannot do anything about that, even the money printing should be illegal in my opinion because of the inflation it causes to be honest

however bitcoins are used for illegal stuff too to be honest, there are a lot of shops in the deepweb that allows bitcoins as a payment method and people buy illegal stuff for bitcoins then

I see more and more articles of the USD being used for illegal activities, such as funding of terrorists and unconstitutional, illegal wars, funding of wars that cause severe infringement of civil liberties like the war on drugs, among other things. I am pretty sure that when goons smash into convenience stores and steal stuff, then the money they probably steal is USD, which makes it criminal currency. Also, I am pretty sure that the baseball bats that majority of the goons have bought were paid for by the USD.

Also, most people collect rain water, drink raw milk, and throw cannabis seeds in soil, all three acts which are considered serious illegal felonies punishable by seriously expensive fines and extensive jail time, possibly life in prison.

Some people also walk, drive, fish, or hunt without a permit that can easily be bought for in USD.

Will this hurt USD in the long run? Will governments ban this just like they started to do with paying in cash for some services to harden the use of illegal activities, and money laundering?

Good question. I think we need more positive publicity for USD or otherwise people will not use it and then when it will be abandoned the price of 1 USD will be 1 Satoshi like for any worthless shitcoin.

For the time being we can say that is definitely used for many illegal activities and it is better to be careful with it or even avoid using it at all.   Smiley

Every currency is used for illegal activities. With money we can buy good or bad things, it depend from what kind of person someone is. American dollar is currency is most strongest in the world, big nation, many corporation and businesses are finished with dollars. So it'snot strange that dollar is used for illegal things.
People will never stop to use currencies for illegal activities. Too many people wish to be rich without work, on easy and fast way.

The United States Dollar is the no.1 currency of choice for criminals, pedophiles, drug smugglers, money launderers.etc. Actually this is surprising, as the highest USD denomination ($100 banknote) is worth much less than the highest denomination banknotes of Swiss Franc and Euro (CHF 1,000 and €500 banknotes respectively).

fiat is used for the good purpose also for any other different purpose, it is not only USD , it is any currency and in any country ,but USD is common in the world so USD gains priority on these, first this every country governments should have strict rules on fiat money currency , like tax implementation wherever it is possible and also tracking methods for money flow.

Media and government only guess that bitcoin like currency or other digital forms of payment processor are involved or used by terrorist or for other illegal activites. But it is quite known fact that terrorist at one country get fund from the government of another country that try to keep the country under civil war and terrorist attack so that they can't get developed and utilize the natural resources they have. If you look at the arab and african countries internal war you can find out how other countries try to supply require materials to the terrorist so that they can use them to take away all oils and precious metals those groups captures or mine themeselves in cheaper price.

every medium of exchange (fiat, precious metals, jewelry, digital currency) can be used for illegal activities. But term of "illegal" every countries is different, such porn in mostly asia is illegal but in EU or US is not, but it doesn't make the currency is criminal lol.

I guess this is no difference  to every  currency in the world.  Since they are tool to buy things like food, clothing , shelter, gadgets, guns, ammunition and other stuff, they are always use for illegal activities.  Yet instead of the price to fall, since there is "more" demand than just using it for legal stuff,  the price ironically sky rocketed.  And of course no country will ever ban their currency.
