Mourinho tactic is relevant for Serie A where defense is the priority. In the defeat against Lazio, Roma also played well and if they were more lucky, they would have at least 1 point.

Roma have done a great job so far with Mourinho in the league. They won five of their seven league matches so far. They lost the other two but one of them was against Lazio away so it was a normal loss I think. But losing to Verona wasn't very ideal of course. But it is for sure that we are watching a much better Roma than the last season. They have a big chance to end the season in top 4 as long as they keep up the good work.

Yeah you're right that Napoli are quite stable, even in some seasons they were in second place 2015-2016, 2017-2018, 2018-2019 under Juventus as champions of the season, that means their achievements are the result of hard work not luck. The journey this season is still very long they just need to maintain their squad well, they just don't get good results in the european league.
