It's true, in this pre-season match Juventus appeared mediocre. Even in the two pre-season matches that Juventus played, the result was that Juventus was unable to win a single match. So if you look at the results of the matches played by Juventus, it is clear that Thiago Motta as Juventus' new coach has not shown significant progress for Juventus. But even so, we still have to see how Juventus will perform in official competitions next season. The reason is, pre-season matches alone cannot be a definite benchmark for a team's performance. Because of course the coach is looking for a very good strategy to face real competition. However, as far as I see, I think Juventus will be a little weak in defense. The reason is, when Juventus received a fast tempo attack, Juventus' defenders seemed to have a little difficulty blocking the opponent's attack. So hopefully this can be fixed soon by Thiago Motta, because as we know, Serie A will start in a few weeks. That's why Thiago Motta must resolve this problem as soon as possible.

And in this transfer market, Juventus has indeed sold a lot of players, a total of 7 players have currently been sold by Juventus. I don't understand what Juventus means and aims to sell that many players. However, it looks like Juventus will buy new players again at quite expensive prices. Apart from that, Thiago Motta still has one more pre-season match to maximize the strategy he will implement at Juventus. Namely against Atletico Madrid next week. Hopefully in this match Thiago Motta can really show very good progress at Juventus.

In theory, AS Roma should be much stronger than when Rossi first became Roma coach.
The reasons are:
- Rossi has been Roma's coach for several months, so he must have begun to understand the gaps in Roma, so he can prepare and improve strategies much more readily
- de Rossi has also begun to understand and get the green light to manage the team from the beginning, so he has the opportunity to sign the players he wants
- Signing Dovbyk and Soulé are Roma's top signings this time for the attacking lines
- Several Roma signings are also in the middle and back lineups, so they are indeed quite focused on increasing the team's strength even with a small budget.
Roma are still not satisfied with the players they have successfully brought in, the ambitious project built after De Rossi improved Roma quality will see a rapid increase in Roma performance this season. Roma are considering a new signing to strengthen their backline, now targeting Sergi Roberto on a free transfer. Having successfully addressed the shortcomings in the front line following the arrivals of Soule and Artem Dovbyk, Roma also managed to acquire Enzo Le Fee from Rennes which gives De Rossi even more options in midfield.

Roma would be very fortunate to sign Sergi Roberto as he is capable of playing in a variety of positions, he is also capable of playing on the wing and would be a worthy replacement for Leonardo Spinazzola who has opted to leave for Napoli. The problem at right-back could be solved if Roma manages to recruit Sergi Roberto, his experience with Barcelona will be very helpful for De Rossi who is building Roma quality.

These results are impressive as about less than one month before a start of new season, big clubs are doing their last tests, trials to maximize their preparation for a new season. Winning against big clubs at this stage somewhat show quality and competitiveness of AC Milan. It's good signal for their coming season in Serie A and Champions League as well.

AC Milan done their jobs well and it's not only about them, but also about Serie A generally. Clubs from Italy and Serie A have been performing better and better in Europe in last three seasons. They are improving from quality to performances with which they can have better finance and purchase better players. If they can maintain it for several more seasons, they will become more competitive in Europe and we will come to time when Serie A can be on top in Europe again.
For me personally, Serie A is not very competitive when compared to other European leagues, of course Serie A is very behind their slow game, of course they will go down next season, Serie A in the last few seasons has been very competitive, but if you look at it in terms of the most viewers, then Serie A is very behind, they cannot attract many fans to draw attention to their league.
Of course I am the opposite, Serie A will be even more behind, because there is not a single team that competes in such a way that until the end of the season Juventus will be even more depressed, of course they lose out to the top clubs, leaving only AC Milan and Inter, the others are less in demand, so if they want to play a competitive league, of course they have to bring in big names and play modern football so that their league becomes the best next season

AC Milan appeared quite impressive in their friendly matches this season because in the two matches they played they managed to win.
To be able to beat Real Madrid is certainly not an easy matter because the number one team in Laliga has quite strong strength with many quality players at their disposal, but this can be conquered by the neat play implemented by Paulo Fonseca.
The match against Manchester City was also the same where Colombo et al managed to turn things around and managed to win the match. In the next match, Fonseca's team will face Barcelona and I hope that AC Milan can also come out as winners in the friendly match which will be held M&T stadium.

Indeed, it is not easy to beat clubs of the caliber of Real Madrid and Manchester City even though in a friendly match, the victory can make Milan players more confident. The next match against Barcelona seems not to be much different, at least Milan can target a draw. If you look at the strength that Milan currently has, they will most likely be able to compete with Inter Milan next season. Last season Milan was quite far behind Inter Milan, the presence of experienced players like Moratta can help improve their performance next season. The latest news is that Milan getting closer to reaching an agreement with Tammy Abraham, clearly this is a good step to increase their attack power after the departure of Olivier Giroud.

Yeah, it must be admitted that AC Milan played well in this preseason but that doesn't mean they are a different team this season I believe it was just luck in a friendly match. If AC Milan can play this well then it will be good for the competition in Serie A at least as a main competitor for Inter Milan, we'll see when the new season starts whether AC Milan can play like this and be consistent. For next season, Inter Milan is still the favorite for the title I haven't seen any other team that can compete with them. Indeed, Juventus and AS Roma are building their squads by bringing in several new players but so far it's not enough imo, unless there is a surprise before the transfer window closes.

At least, the presence of Artem Dovbyk and Matias Soulé in Roma is indeed in accordance with the needs of the club, and moreover, both players really want to be at the club. ....
I think Roma will do better this season because of their new players like Dovbyk and Soulé. They fit well with team and want to win. Dovbyk played really well at Girona last season so that is good sign. Roma has good team and stable midfield so they have good chance of making it to the Champions League. It won't be easy because many teams in Serie A are strong, but I think Roma can do it with de Rossi leading them. He knows the team well and can help them play their best.

Friendlies are always matches to be given little importance, they only serve to inform the players, obviously it is not nice to see a team created to win make bad figures in preseason matches. The friendlies that will give more insights and information are the ones that will be played just before the start of the championship, there we could see if the new coach is doing a good job or not. However, I have read that they have put Federico Chiesa off the roster, but I didn't quite understand why. Strange that they want to sell their best player.
In addition, especially for club games, friendlies are there just to get the teams ready for what they have ahead especially if it's pre season games like that which has been played by most teams recently, so knowing how much it's of a lesser importance, coaches usually use it to rather fine-tune their tactics and strategies rather than just playing without essence and that's why in some cases coaches don't use their key players for games as this they rather use other available players.

In the two pre-season matches that Juventus has played, there hasn't been anything extraordinary that we can see from Thiago Motta's team. Well it still looks mediocre. I could even say that Juventus' back line doesn't look good. So I feel that Thiago Motta still has a lot of work to do until the season actually starts. Maybe when the season starts we will see the real strategy that Motta will use for Juventus. In pre-season matches this coach is only trying to assess things and may not care about the results of winning or losing. But if at the start of the season Juventus still doesn't show anything good then that means when the season starts it won't be much different from pre-season. namely Juventus have not found their best performance.

I also agree more with the solution that you said for Federico Chiesa’s case, because for every player if he can be in a team that values his performance more he will be more consistent in playing so there will be a good effect that will be received by the team that is hosting him later. Besides that, I also hope that Juventus can have a more attractive appearance and performance next season because remembering last season Juventus was almost able to do it since the beginning of the season even though they had to shrink again towards the end of the season because they were not consistent enough with their own tactics.
The coach has the criteria for players that will be used to implement the strategy he will use next season. Even though the player played well in the previous season and after the arrival of a new coach he was no longer needed in the squad, there wasn't much to do. The reason is when the club wants to maintain the player but the coach says it does not need it then it is not good for the player himself, because it is very likely that he will be on the bench and the best step is to find a club that really wants it. We also cannot blame anyone here, unless there is an internal problem between the coach and the player, surely we will find out what the source of the problem is.

Juventus are a strong club, they have dominated the league some time ago, but the problem for the sake of their problems faced so that they explored them down. But this is a good development, we can see it last season when they played well at the beginning of the season, but unfortunately they were inconsistent.
Thiago Motta seems to want to completely overhaul Juventus, both in terms of squad depth and game philosophy, so one way is to release several players. Federico Chiesa is considered to have contributed less, his performance has not met expectations, and perhaps in many ways he does not fit the strategy that will be implemented by Thiago Motta. Meanwhile, Juventus certainly does not want to lose Federico Chiesa for free, therefore they pushed him away this summer. I think Federico Chiesa injury history also greatly affects his performance.

So far there are several clubs that have been linked with a move for Federico Chiesa, including Bayern Munchen, Chelsea, Napoli and Roma, but no official offers have been made. Previously the most common rumor we heard was Dusan Vlahovic departure from Juventus, but after Thiago Motta became Allegri successor, it seems that Dusan Vlahovic will be the mainstay in the front line. Juventus have lowered Federico Chiesa price, and hope they can more easily complete the transfer before the new season starts. Actually, moving to the Premier League is a better solution, but Federico Chiesa must choose the right club.

What Juventus needs is a big renovation in the squad. At least in some specific areas starting with midfield. How much have they done so far? Not too much honestly.  Sad  Douglas Luiz and Khéphren Thuram are good transfers. Hopefully Juan Cabal can also be helpful. Di Gregorio is another signing to take the gloves from Szczęsny probably. But there are still players they aim to sell on one hand.

There is a big problem on the Chiesa situation indeed. There is still no team making an offer as far as I know. Tottenham is said to be interested but no action taken. If he stays this summer they will probably won't make any money from his sale as his contract ends in a year.

Even Pogba is still a part of the team, I mean...  Grin

All I can say is that the Juventus squad is definitely not balanced at all. To make the squad perform better, there are certain changes that need to be made. But I wonder does Juventus actually have that level of money? With the increase of the value of players so much, any club right now needs to spend almost double the money that they would have spent before 2020. So there was a time when if you had 200 million to spend, it was a lot. You could make a squad like Manchester City with that level of money. But now a single player who has some kind of talent is going to cost more than 100 million easily. And with all the problems that Juventus did face recently, I think they do not have that kind of money, to be honest. That’s why they have to take every decision carefully.

Oh and Is there any new news about Pogba? Or will he have to serve the full ban?

Dovbyk was in great form last season in La Liga. I thought Roma would have to spend around 50 million to add Dovbyk to the squad. But Roma management spent 30.5 million to add Dovbyk to the squad. Roma also spent 25.6 million to add a young winger like Soule to the squad. Central midfielder Enzo Le Fee was bought by Roma for 23 million.

Roma's management's ability to get Dovbyk for around 30 million euros in my opinion is a success in their transfer. Dovbyk is a phenomenal striker in La Liga. I even think Girona will not let him go because Dovbyk is a player who managed to make Girona finish in third place last season. Although it is very unfortunate that Dovbyk cannot play in the Champions League because AS Roma will play in the Europa League next season. But I am optimistic that AS Roma will be able to perform better this season either in Serie A or the Europa League.
De Rossi has a very big burden next season after he failed to fulfill Roma ambition to qualify for the Champions League last season, De Rossi has realized that his squad last season will not be able to compete with rival teams who have currently improved their squad, so as to be able to remain in in the Scudetto competition next season, like it or not, Roma also have to upgrade their team to be even better next season by bringing in quality new players, Roma throughout this summer transfer market have recruited 6 new players, including one young player, so this shows if De Rossi is really targeting the championship trophy next season.

Artem Dovbyk and Matias Soule is the perfect recruitment from Roma at this time if you look at the performance of these two players last season, but after bringing in several new players now, it is reported that Roma is still eyeing several other players to recruit at this time, BTW apart from Como, Roma is The team that is most active in recruiting players in the transfer market and in fact they are a Serie A team which is currently spending almost 100 million euros to recruit new players.

Artem Dovbyk's transfer to Roma is really a wonder. He probably chose this path to have a great stadium to play at - in front of a great fanbase and not to be in the constant competitive loop? because this is the first thing that comes to my mind when I see him in a Roma shirt, after such a breakthrough season with Girona.

But in all honesty, Roma is a great club to play for. Their fans are amazing, they compete well in European competitions, and Roma right now have a very exciting project ahead of them. They might cook.

Regards

Duke

Artem Dovbyk decision was clearly very surprising, for some reason he chose Roma even though Atletico was also very interested in bringing him in. He could get a chance to play in the Champions League if he chooses to join Atletico, but if the reason is as you assume, it clearly doesn't make sense, besides Roma also didn't play in the UCL this season. His arrival at Roma is clearly very beneficial for De Rossi, he will have new ammunition that is very productive and will be a very suitable replacement for Lukaku. Perhaps one of the reasons he chose Roma was because of the very interesting project that was being built with De Rossi, he chose Roma's offer because he thought there would be a bright future with Roma after performing well last season.

What project do you mean?
Because to be honest, I personally don't know the reason why Artem Dovbyk chose to play with AS Roma next season because after all, if for example Artem Dovbyk had stayed at Girona also the reality is that Girona will play in the Champions League next season. But strangely, Artem Dovbyk chose AS Roma for his new club for next season and even then, AS Roma are only playing for the Europa League next season, unlike Girona who will be playing in the Champions League.

After all, I also think Girona is still in the development stage to be better because after all, Girona is also included in the City Football Group which is likely to be strong in the future. Therefore, I think if Artem Dovbyk stays at Girona it's also the good choice, because at least Girona have a big project with the City football Group for long term but for AS Roma? I wonder what project you mean. Because I also very curious, what reasons made Artem Dovbyk choose AS Roma, because basically Artem Dovbyk can play for other elite teams that have a guarantee of getting trophies.

Second game of the preseason for Motta this evening.
He has not called for the game Chiesa and Djalo.
These are clear calls of what he wants to do with these 2 players during this season.

The player are now on the market and they will try to sell them before the end of the month.

Seriously i don’t just get it what Thiago Motta is after, he is building a Juventus team which had been in the mud or not been their selfs for the pasts three seasons now and Clearly he needs not just any players but the ones that are ready to stay committed and are experienced and clearly in Italian football today Federico Chiesa is just one of them, I don’t under why he doesn’t want the player and even at worst why he is not giving the player to redeem himself or rather play so that he can get suitors, except there is something internal maybe a issue between the player and the coach this treatment is bad seriously

Since Motta joined Juventus he tried to do his best to improve the team while he also needs to make some changes and it's very normal to see Motta doesn't want to keep some players in the team while he currently made it clear that he doesn't need Federico Chiesa for the next season.
Federico Chiesa should think about his next destination and Juvnetos also put this player for sale while there is one more year from his contract.

Chiesa? It's not just about the money, it's about Juventus losing their damn minds. Chiesa is a great player who has always helped the team. You don't sell a player like that unless you have to, and Juventus may be putting their money problems ahead of football sense. I know Motta has a hard job. But letting Chiesa go just to keep the books in order is a bad sign. It says that prizes are not important to Juventus. It says they don't mind being average as long as they're making money

Juve will look like complete fools if Chiesa ends up somewhere else and rips it up. This is more than just a move; it's a test of how ambitious Juventus is. And they are failing horribly right now
I don't know if it is a personal problem or not between Motta and Chiesa but I doubt if there is any, why will Motta make such decision on Chiesa who is a good player and has a relevant role in the club or is he no longer fit to play in Juventus again.

It seems that Juventus will only be dreaming of winning scudetto because I don't see them making such preparations to win it soon, after Ronaldo left the club their hope of winning the league is decreasing.

Chiesa's leaving Juventus is a major event. A star player leaving is difficult, hence this could be the greatest thing for him. Motta sees Juve, and maybe Chiesa doesnt fit that precisely right now. That does not imply, however, he lacks world-class ability. Simply said, he finds a better fit elsewhere.

Chiesa has an opportunity to travel somewhere he will be the primary man, the top dog. somewhere he can truly shine and provide the world with his capacity.

Consider it this way: Juventus is upsetting things by making some major moves. Chiesa's moment to fold is here, but believe me; he will emerge triumphant. He is a winner; winners always find their path.

Indeed, it is a transition, but it does not mark the end of the earth. For Federico Chiesa, this marks the beginning of a new chapter; for me, it excites to see what he accomplishes next.
