It's about time -- All merrit accepted !!!

f2 paid someone to update nmc for them, shortly after a large dump of coins was seen (if i remember correctly)

history tends to repeat itself....

I guess http://blockinfo.org/pools posts a 'chinese' versiion of the information most people usually look up here https://blockchain.info/pools guess I can run a whois on that for more information if and when I have the time and desire to.

The others are correct.
Most btc mining pools offer bitcoin only. The guild offers merged mining with namecoin.
A few offer options to your set up for namecoin merged mining.

f2pool, ghashio, and mm pool are the only three I know of that offer merged mining support for iX

mm pool hash rate was around 200 ths the other day when I checked it so not on this chart of current hashrate distribution.

also i wonder if the larger pools have every single unit merge mining or only portions of their available hash power.

strange how the hash rate of the bitcoin network has not really grown this year but the changes to the chart in 'where' the hash rate is coming from is constantly changing.

i suspect with bitcoin at least there is a lot of 'selfish' mining or dishonest mining taking place, otherwise known as block witholding.........  something hard to prove

a lot of people joked or criticized this paper when it was published  http://arxiv.org/abs/1311.0243

i wonder how those people feel now , there are other well written papers out there about the same or similar methods , valuable insight into the state of affairs today

It looks like ixc price is going up again.
Hopefully we can see more dumping again for ixcoin.

That dump made no sense.  I think it was a market support test.  If so then we will not see any more huge blocks being dumped like that.  I had to pay 19,888 Sats last year to get just 50,000 IXC, someone got incredibly lucky unless it was the seller dumping to himself [which it didn't look like].

I can confirm it was not the seller buying.

Trying to be as transparent as possible with everyone so there is as little insider leverage as possible.

BTW, I announced the Terpin news here within 3 minutes of finding out.  And it only took that long cause I had to inform the other board member(s) first.

So not one iXCoin was bought with insider knowledge.  Just letting you guys know that I report info as soon as I get it and I don't ever play pump and dump games which, with the Terpin news, I could have done a huge pump.

I have always wanted every ixCoin holder to be here cause they believe in the long term potential of iXCoin and not quick pump and dump schemes and I wanted ixCoin to never have the bad reputation which most alts have when it comes to such selfish games - where a few guys make hundreds of Bitcoins by bag-holding 100 community members because they trusted them.

At any rate:  Discus Fish responded asking me for further information for what we have in mind, and I'm trying to set up a meeting with them and the rest of the board to see if and what collaboration is something all parties are interested in.

This deal might take a few weeks to hammer out, IF it happens at all.

Cheers!

F2Pool aka Discus Fish

https://www.f2pool.com/

• Stratum mining protocol
• Bitcoin+Litecoin
• Merged mining with NMC, IXC, I0C, HUC and DOGE
• Servers in mainland China

May 12 2015. What does this message tell you?

F2Pool Turns Two

And we are introducing Namecoin, Ixcoin and I0coin to our Bitcoin miners today. If you fill the payout address, you can receive 2 NMC + 1 IXC + 1 I0C + 5 HUC in additional to each bitcoin mined. Please do not confuse I0C and IOC, which is another coin. Thanks.

thanks deadsea

I saw it and it was more than one buyer...

I saw it after I woke up and it was closer to 130,000 IXC over a period of maybe 1-2 hours then later another block for around 20,000 IXC so around 150,000 IXC dumped in a single day.

The day before another huge dump of 40,000 IXC.

Someone hates Terpin?

And someone got really really lucky!!!

Excuse me, I just got physically sick again...

It looks like ixc price is going up again.
Hopefully we can see more dumping again for ixcoin.

That's my question. Who is, among the big miners, the one generating the mining for iXcoin?

Am I right in saying that, on average, iXcoin is mined by a regular 20% of bitcoin miners?

If so, who is/are this/there miner/miners?

I placed the chart in my post to show who is around a 20% mining of bitcoin.

I've looked at it and it has to be discus fish.  Nothing else makes sense; ghash.io only has about 4% now.

I didn't even notice but ghash.IO is only finding 3-4 blocks a day on IXcoin anymore.  They used to be finding 99% of them.  Wonder where all the other hash comes from.

I have an idea on what may be happening with ghash.io.  It's just a guess.  I have no proof.

They're located in the Ukraine, right?  At least that's the rumor.  They started mining in August 2013, and since February 2014 there has been a looming civil war.  I remember thinking at the time, crap, the one major pool keeping ixcoin alive is in a war zone.  Not good.

If I were them I would be looking for a place to move, especially if they want to develop a long term operation.  The area is too unpredictable.  With the price of Bitcoin in decline and ghash.io reducing their services and staff, this is the perfect chance to pull up stakes and move to a safer location.  It would explain why "right now their mining operation is in focus until year's end ".  It would allow other pools to pickup the slack, at least for now.

Anyway I think it's a plausible explanation, but there are many others as well.  Maybe they're actually in Syria, lol.

Cinnamon ran some tests and it is Discus Fish.

I'm getting really good at just guessing these things on the fly.   lol

Talked to. Mr. Terpin and Cinnamon and both would be ok with Discus Fish joining the board with certain verifications and conditions.

I'll do my best to get a hold of Discus Fish to see if they're interested...

- at least one big ixcoin miner (or a representative of a big mining farm which is merge-mining ixcoin)

If it's true that Nasakioto created it, it's even true that anybody spending considerable time and resources to keep merge mining alive for ixcoin should be part of the board, partaking in important decisions for the future of iXcoin.

Am I wrong?

 Smiley

Question: who is the biggest ixcoin miner nowadays?

You are correct and I have already tried reaching he biggest pool on earth [Discus Fish] but no response.

Of course, they're also anonymous [seems to be the style today] so I cannot make such a decision alone.   I would have to put the matter up for a vote and then we would decide.

If I hear back from Discus Fish, I'll talk to them and we'll go from there.  I'm a bit worried about anonymous groups from China joining iXCoin but I'll keep an open mind and let the board decide.
