i'll try again -

I was shocked by certain Mr. Felton's (is that his name, I think) actions on another foundation about a certain person who always had a chair of honor............ out of respect............until recently.

I don't think we should act the same.

could you elaborate / link por favor please?

Bruce Fenton - a new big wig on the Bitcoin foundation I guess wants to vote to remove Satoshi [*cough - the CIA agent] as one of the founding lifetime members of Bitcoin and the Bitcoin foundation.

I guess over at Bitcoin they don't love their Satoshi so much now that that they don't need him.

We're gonna do our best to honor the founder of iXCoin even when we don't need him anymore.  Cause that's how we do.

I would not be worried about market ripples.
I have no inside or special information but many things cause sell off's.

Someone holding coins has an issue irl & needs the btc converted into old world style cash is the most obvious reason.

Other possible causes are major holders trying to start others into a panic selling off coins.

Then they pick them up at a discount.

One of the reasons I check the going exchange rates for everyrhing very seldom.

Funny thing is, with a lot of coins if someone sells off one half of one percent of all coins that exist I would normally expect the market to take several days or weeks to recover.

Imagine if someone sold 100k bitcoin right now ??

iX is like the energizer bunny.

I don't know who but these events seem to point to 'someone' looking to purchase as much iX as possible.

Vlad : Are you pretending to be a regular dude & maybe you are really a wealthy , well off guy ? lol

I just woke up and what do I find?

Massive IXC dumping.

We add Michael Terpin to the board, a guy who charges up to $50,000 per month for his Marketing Services, and what do we get, no, not a single article or a small 2% rally, no, we get the biggest dumps I have seen in 2 years.

iXCoin literally makes me feel like I am losing my mind.

notice the buying though...

70-80K just bought on Cryptsy.

That buying was the dump.

When someone dumps someone else buys.  Otherwise it's just a sell wall.

So who or why would dump so much so low now?  That's what bothers me.

I think of a dump as a market sell.

Maybe each little dump like that suppresses the price for long enough to allow picking up several hundreds of thousands dirt cheap?

It has amazed me for a long long time now how many coins can be bought up little by little over time without causing a bubble or pump or whatever. Maybe these less than a hundred grand dumps are the secret to keeping the long term acquisition of dirt cheap coins going?

Terpin to join the IXC board

As far as I can tell iX has arranged all the correct pieces of the puzzle to becoming a major crypto asset.

1. Great Network (PH/s)
2. Matured (unlike btc)
3. Skilled Devs (on board)
4. Skilled and Organized Executive Board (assembling)
5. Connecting with the BitAngels of PR and Marketing etc.
6. Connected with 2 major trading platforms

For the record.  I have been actively talking to CEX.io's Jeffrey Smith and they do not want to accept an active official board seat.  At least not right now.  Their response was that they want to remain "strong supporters" but right now their mining operation is in focus until year's end and after that we will discuss the matter further.

I explained to them that I would continue to try to fill the 7 seats but I will stop at the last one to extend them the offer one final time.

Personally, I think there are political reasons behind all of this but that's only my instinct so I don't want to speculate publicly more than that.  To be clear, CEX.io is strongly supporting ixCoin, just no official board seat.

Cheers!

More important----------------

I would like to propose to the  iX foundation and the community that  Nasakioto be offered an honorary seat on the board if he wants it...

Hopefully Vlad will agree and set up a vote when he has time for this.

I was defending Thomas [albeit I was angry with him] even in 2013 when I thought he abandoned the coin with the premine, only on principle that if this was his creation that he had certain natural rights to it which could not be taken away.

That said, this is still Nasakioto's coin, he has never broken his promises regarding the premine and his behavior has been much more professional than mine.  I never felt like iXcoin was mine or anyone else's since I/we did not create it. What's right is right and so I would actually appreciate it if Thomas accepted at least an honorary seat on the board.

Adding nodes to your conf file and setting it up as i previously (several dozen pages back) instructed with listen=1 daemon=1 ect... for someone to do would have had the same exact effect.

edit one, when I compiled that windows client I eventually tried it on win 7 win 8 and win 8.1
and from several different ip addresses and it worked at that time out of the box for me on every try except one, in which case it worked on the second start and that was with no conf file added.

anyone can look backward in this forum and see my posts regarding tests of the client.
let's just say it did not work 'out of the box' for you.

I would like to propose to the  iX foundation and the community that  Nasakioto be offered an honorary seat on the board if he wants it all he has to do is prove identity with pgp signature to at least two members in current standing. They can easily verify identity this way. I would consider the key on this website valid http://ixcoin.org/ Also don't bother trying to hack the website to change the key. I have a copy of it from years ago, and from recently and it has not changed. It is an rsa 3072 key created on June 23,2011.  This is the only one I would accept.

Hopefully Vlad will agree and set up a vote when he has time for this.

Just a heads up to people.

The ixcoin 9.3 client form the .org site does not work right out of the box.

I thought i was going crazy over the weekend trying to get it to work.  The .org might need some additional instructions on how to get it to work.

The extra add nodes do not work.
Adding :8337 to them does not work.

What does work is the list of addnodes from the ixc.boards.net page. And then you need to wait 5-10 minutes for it to start. And obviously you need to create a ixcoin.conf file for that to happen.

I will say this though. Bitcoin took like  a day and a half to dl / sync, ixcoin only a few hours depending on what cpu i used. But like i said ixcoin does not work right out of the box. Other coins that i tried to install when i thought i was going crazier over the weekend worked out of the box no prob.

So i guess this can be fixed real easy with some extra instruc on the .org site.

Hi,
Did you try this? It worked for me.

IXCOIN CLIENT SYNC PROBLEM

Since I am not tech savvy, when I heard of people having problems to sync the wallet, I couldn't really help. Till today.
Since I got a new PC, I had to install the wallet from zero.
So I installed the wallet 0.9.3. No sync
So I installed the wallet 0.9.2. No sync
I even tryed 0.3.24.3 (error) and 0.8.6. No sync

So I started to analyse the problem in a more empirical way. And it always works. I solved the problem in 5 minutes.
In the same directory where you have the wallet.dat file (\users\"NAME OF YOUR USER"\AppData\Roaming\IXCoin\  - nb it could be invisible) you have peers.dat
I took my old peers.dat file and replaced the one in \users\"NAME OF YOUR USER"\AppData\Roaming\IXCoin\ , restarted the client and now the sync is in progress.

Update: sync completed

I did not mess with the peers.dat file.  If I am understanding what you did correctly,  you already had ixcoin installed and then copied an old peers.dat onto the new one and it worked?

What I did was a brand spanking new install on 2 win 7 laptops that had never b4 run ixcoin. So I had no old peers.dat file to copy.

And we're back....

Anybody notice the strange trading for IXC!

Massive 40,000 IXC dump to 3,000 yesterday and then last night huge buys to around 11,000 sat.

The buys I've seen but such a big dump to such a low price makes no sense.

I just gave all you guys positive feedback and added you to my network.

It was easy, you've all done something positive for the IXC community.  Can't believe I didn't do this sooner.

Or here's a crazy idea.

Why don't all you guys who can't see my rating but can think [of just one good thing] I've EVER done please give me one positive trust rating.

And I'll return the favor and probably have to add each other to the trust network.

At least then those of you involved here can see it.

And That's a start.

Cheers!

Vlad. if youve trusted someone and theyve trusted you then all that persons trusts and links to you also add onto your score.

That is why it shows high on your side. but no one has trusted you from the scammy DefaultTrust list. thats why to most it shows as 0

Ahmed

And where is this scammy default trust list so I can track everyone down and convince them I'm superman?

What's the point of a 131 positive trust rating if only a few people can see them.  Sad!!!
