Mike Tyson is 57 years old. I watched the videos that are being shared on social media to show that he is still very fast and his punches very strong. However, these videos do not show everything. Show me a video of Mike Tyson doing his quick moves and strong punches for 3 minutes for 1 round and do 10 rounds of this. I reckon in the last minute of the video he will have his tongue hanging to his knees and breathing very much similar to a very tired dog.

In any case, if this is on Netflix, this is not a payperview? Will this be available for all Netflix subscribers? I reckon all sports organizations like the NFL should also do this.

It is funny how people already suggest Jake to order coffin and be ready to die. Like Jake is a total trash in boxing. Will an amateur is able to do such trick? https://www.instagram.com/reel/CvU8c8dMmMI/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=a21f456d-6357-444f-a176-27bbc800ba5b

With Mike, I dont think all 10 rounds would be needed to win, all he needs to do is to catch Jake at ropes or got him stuck in corner and unload series of punches. No matter where they hit, head, body or block, they will hurn anyway.

On Mike Tyson, I cannot disagree and I also cannot agree. I reckon that we should watch his fight against Roy Jones Jr again heheh. It appears that he might have the stamina to finish 10 rounds without breathing similar to a tired dog with fur stuck on throat. However, Roy Jones is also very old and he also might not be trying very hard because he might have a high blood pressure attack hehehehee. But in all seriousness if the sportsbooks give very good odds for Mike Tyson it would certainly be a bet for him and wish he will knockout this Disneyland boy Jake Paul.

According to this article Mike Tyson is the underdog.

As of Thursday, March 7, popular betting site Odds Shark listed Tyson as an underdog against Paul for the July 2024 fight. Vegas odds from the site listed Tyson as a +325 underdog and Paul as a -500 favorite. Odds Shark explained the 30-year age gap between the former heavyweight champ and the YouTuber turned boxer playing a major factor in determine the chances of who is likely to win four months from now.

People joke alot...why would Jake paul feel so clueless about the fact that Mike fought above their levels at their age? They can't stand him in his prime.. I don't even think Jake's got the techs to overthrow this old man.
In Mike Tyson's prime, Jake will be knocked out in the first round.
I would be surprised if Mike beats Jake. He is 60.  Would you bet if its on Stake?
If Jake will win the fight he would have to use a strategy to make sure that he is able to exhaust Mike Tyson because if he chooses to go by direct confrontation in exchange and show of power, within the very first few rounds I'm very sure that Mike Tyson will be able to land good punches. The fight is still some months away, but Jake should not think it so far away that he does not start training, Jake should not summarize age to be on his side and against Mike, because age has not limited Mike.

It Mike Tyson is in his prime, they fight is not going to happen.

As others have said, this is all for the money, Jake Paul has made millions during this kind of exhibition fights and probably this is his biggest purse as they have a billion company in Netflix to back them up. It's a offer that Mike Tyson can't refuse and as we can see, he is training "very hard" for this fight, but at the end of it all, they could stage this and people are still going to buy the tickets if this is PPV.

That said, I believe they won't fight seriously. I understand there will be a fight but it won't be the bloodbath we think. It will be an exchange of punches between friends, where they try not to hurt each other.

If Mike is in his prime he will be fighting the likes of Fury and Usyk because this is where the money is, he will just ignore the likes of Jake Paul, and Jake Paul will not fight Mike because its suicidal to do so.

People are going to watch the fight because it's easy to access since it will be broadcast on Netflix, we are subscribed to Netflix because of the movies, and besides people are curious about Mike Tyson's condition and how well he performed in the ring at 60, if it turns out good then he is an inspiration, if not then 60 should remain retires from any fighting sports.

He just beat Ryan Bourland recently who looks like not willing to fight and Jake is up again for another.
They should call this a fight but an exhibition but believe it or not is happening. You think Mike is done after Roy Jones but Jake wants to pull him again for he just needs recognition from the boxing community.

Jake Paul is set to fight former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in a boxing match that will be livestreamed on Netflix.

The bout is scheduled to take place on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Texas and will be available to all Netflix subscribers. Additional information, including the co-main event and undercards, will be announced at a later date. It is being produced in a partnership between Netflix and Paul’s and Nakisa Bidarian’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).

This will not be the first time Paul and Tyson have appeared on a boxing card together. Paul fought in the co-main event of the pay-per-view that saw Tyson fight an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, which was Tyson’s first boxing match since 2006. Paul defeated former NBA player Nate Robinson via knockout in the second round in what was Paul’s second professional boxing match.

What in the flying fuck man. Why is it that Jake gets off from fighting boxers who are either already decades past their prime and retired, or clowns who can't show for themselves more than they could throw a solid punch. This is pretty much like that one spongebob meme where they keep busting that old man cause they thought he's the criminal. Don't get it twisted, Tyson is still pretty much a fucking animal, but he's literally in his 60s now, he's not gonna be able to put in the show that we're looking to see from a fighter of his caliber, and to top it all off he's fighting the clown of the boxing industry, there's literally no way we're going to see a good fight out of this in my opinion.

I mean props to whoever Tyson talked to for actually persuading the guy to get into fighting once again, but c'mon man, let the man rest, he's already done his time in the ring, have some respect to the GOAT at the very least.

I won't bet on this. This isn't even a good fight. This is a joke. Mike Tyson is just putting himself in danger because of accepting this fight. It's his decision. I know he's accepting this mainly because of how big the offer is. But even if the old Iron Mike remains strong to this day, he isn't as strong as a 27-year old kid. His age is more than twice as that. And he has been inactive for decades already.
what if this took a turn and doesn't happen as you thought? Mike has aged greatly, but he's strong and experienced enough to not beat a child to a pulp for trying to ridicule his legacies. If I had my way to wager, I'll bet on Tyson to win...WTF is Jake?  I'd consider a good turn if that was his elder brother, Logan.

I think a lot of boxing fans who are expecting to see prime Mike Tyson. I don’t think Mike Tyson has that fury in him anymore, I have watch his podcasts, he’s a very different man now. The only advantage he has in this match is his power punch, which I believe will knock out Jake Paul if he is hit. Even though I do not like Jake Paul and his approach to the sport, I do think he is a decent boxer. He’s young and quick on his feet, and will be able to avoid getting hit by Mike Tyson.

We all admired Tyson during his warrior days, back in those days he was wild and no one could stand in front of him, if Jake Paul fought a Tyson of the old days, he would be demolished like what he did against Spinks and, Jake Paul is so lucky that he is fighting an old Tyson.
Jake Paul is considered an opportunist for fighting Tyson when Tyson is 60 years and past his prime and Jake Paul is now in his prime, they are both going to make money here but I hope Tyson can still keep up with a younger, hungrier and opportunist Jake Paul, anyway, I looked at it, it's not fair.

Here are the latest trainer video of Mike Tyson and let me hear your thoughts or others too if he still has it even at close to 60 years old,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSer_XFMEFU

And in the video we also see Jake Paul doing the mitts, and we can see the big difference on how they throw. Obviously Mike's more on "refine" and we can hear his power when his punches hit the mitt. While Jake looks like street brawl style of throwing punches, LOL.

I think it also awaken the interest of all sports fans as we can hear their speculations on this fight.

I think it's very difficult for Mike Tyson to last more than 5 rounds, age will really make a big difference in performance, if this fight is a genuine fight (I don't think it will be, it will just be fun for the public) Tyson will have to use all his technique to knock out the opponent as quickly as possible, otherwise, the longer he stays in the fight, the more likely he is to lose to Jake Paul
Hahaha at his current age Mike Tyson still looks very strong with body that is still clearly very strong with muscles that can be said to be quite tight, besides he still often does several training sessions at any time for several reasons such as fitness and health.
But it is true that Tyson will have difficulty facing Paul because of the clear age difference and Paul will have the advantage of speed or agility, it just that for punch, even though Tyson is older, he is still much stronger.
Tyson has the nickname concrete neck because he is very difficult to knock down and Tyson is boxer who has very hard punch who was really feared by his opponents during his glory days, 50 wins of which 44 were knockout wins.
I not sure Paul will be able to beat Tyson by knockout or make Tyson unable to last more than 5 rounds, age is not the main reason Tyson can be beaten easily and he will show everyone that the strength of the heavyweight legend is still there.
With the strong punch that Tyson has, I think and imagine Paul getting it in landslide and making Paul suffer knockout defeat, this is surprise that could happen.

I almost fell out of my seat when I heard this fight being announced, but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense.  Jake Paul doesn't fight legitimate fighters, and I'm of course not saying Tyson isn't legitimate, as he's on of the greatest boxers of all time, but he's what, 60 years old and Paul is like 30..just another money grab in my opinion. I honestly can't take any of these fights seriously.  I think they are rigged.

It is funny how people already suggest Jake to order coffin and be ready to die. Like Jake is a total trash in boxing. Will an amateur is able to do such trick? https://www.instagram.com/reel/CvU8c8dMmMI/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=a21f456d-6357-444f-a176-27bbc800ba5b

It’s not clear why Mike needs this fight, I understand that he thinks that he is just as strong, but age is taking its toll, he may just be slower than Jake. I have no doubt that Mike can hit hard, but the point is not that, I think it would be better for him not to agree to this fight. It’s clear that Jake is a showman, but it’s time for Tyson to retire soon, and he still wants to get into the ring. )

I remember Mike’s last fight with Roy Jones in 2020, listen, it was 4 years ago, and I didn’t see anything outstanding from Tyson in the ring, and now he’s even older. I don’t know, this is his decision, but I don’t see anything good in such fights.

That's nice, seeing an young cub challenge an old lion is really good way to settle things once and for all, does age and experience defeat youth and inexperience. I hope that this fight is going to be real and if it goes through and both parties agree to do it with no more conditions besides what's initially agreed upon, it's going to be a blockbuster especially for old people because a lot of them haven't seen Tyson fight in a long time and this could be a way to unite Gen Z and Boomers and Millennials. Regarding who'd win the fight, I'd say that if Jake Paul is cocky and stupid, Tyson would probably knock him out but given the age gap, Tyson's age might've catched up to him and his killer punches might not be as killer as back in his prime.

It's very likely so, but before that they need to at least exchange a few punches. And I believe that this exchange will have the entertainment we have been waiting for. But really, it's nothing more than hype.

It is doing it's job and garnering attention and deny it or not, its getting us commenting on the subject whether we like to admit it or not.
You can't saw it isn't fascinating to debate about if it is right or wrong.
One youtuber which sounds like an AI voicechanger type bot account had a video I watched yesterday. Well due to Joe Rogan was mentioned in the title yet barely had any footage between him and Paul in the video.

Some points to get you thinking about this fight, a devolution of the sport of boxing?
Perhaps. But entertaining to ponder about.
Joe Rogan BRUTALLY WARNS Jake Paul Of Fighting Mike Tyson
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGGyM_2PsNg

This seems to be going in through the motions as there is a clip out there where Iron Mike is back into training.
Yes, it did already garner the attention of anyone in sports, not just in boxing, as this is being discussed already.

a. It's just a question on how Mike Tyson is fit at 58 years of age. Will this affect his legacy as of the greatest in the HW division? Although is career has been a lots of up and down but he is considered one of the legends already. So him accepting this fight against a youtuber could really affected is legacy in my opinion specially for boxing purist.

b. Jake Paul is small for a HW, as far as I know he is a CW, so this could be a mismatch for Mike Tyson. But he has the youth advantage, but he should still be careful as Mike could still carry that power even at this age.
For you to know the answer to your first point, you just have to look at the way the Mayweather fight between them went.
Did it affect his legacy as a boxer? Don't think he cared.
Since his nickname is Money Mayweather so you know he only cared about the bag at the end.

It will be a crazy event, i mean, the age difference is huge, and that gap will make Mike the underdog, but we all know Mike Tyson is a true legend, and he knows how to fight, if he takes this fight seriously then he will try to destroy jake on each punch.

Another fact is the money involved in the event, with such crazy amounts the event could even be scripted, we know everyone has a price, and if Jake pays enough money to Mike to let him win, then it will happen.

I think so too, he still has the concepts and technique. He knows what to do there and has a lot of experience. If it really is a real fight and not an exhibition for both to earn loads of money, it will be something very equal.

I think it will be scripted, and with the way Mike Tyson is promoting it, I mean we have seen videos of him circulating and doing the training as if he is going to fight for the HW belt. So I have doubts in this fight and it could really be scripted.

And with the money involved, they could really play it out for the fans and hype the fight. Mike is going to be 58 years old fight night, and so even if he trains a lot his body might be telling him otherwise, in my opinion. We all love Mike Tyson, but not sure if this is the best thing for him.
This is definitely scripted.
The promotional video he put out with him talking to his dad, if you look at the reflection, they are sitting infront of a television with a screensaver on. Now that is hilarious.

There was one guy who mentions they will have a no-headshot rule for this match.
