By the way, for those of you working on getting sdcards working and other shit to get your A7s mining, you can actually run them off the master cgminer and a regular PC in the meantime. Grab the latest master cgminer, build it with avalon7 support, and plug the avalon7 into your pc/laptop and mine in the meantime until you can get your RPis working. Not only that but you'll get newer code than is on the RPi images with my improvements and bugfixes.

That's pretty awesome.  So people can run this off say a Windows PC and use teamviewer or something to get remote access to them.  I mean I'm sure there's something similar for the RPi but some people are just more familiar with Windows.

I just went full mad mode on the RPi provided by Canaan.

In the Advance settings, there are no tabs at all and controller is not showing the miners connected.

Furthermore, the Userinterface is totally different from what was posted by the reviewes. No update, upgrade, back up or anything at all!!

Now I am like a mad dog looking for an sd card reader to flash a new image.

No mining today.
You realize that the miner is static IP'd to 192.168.0.100? If you're using DHCP you'll have to Macgyver your setup to access the machine to change it's IP to match your subnet, or change it to DHCP. The GUI you first get when you boot up the RPi is not the usual interface (CGMiner) you see when you're operating.

You don't need to update, upgrade, or anything else to get up and running. I went through a similar stress when mine first arrived...I had forgotten about the IP thing.

Try going directly to 192.168.0.100 if you haven't already.

I did go there and put it in DHCP but same thing.

No mining no tabs.

Hmmm...dunno. Also make sure you've got the correct image on the micro-SD. If you got the RPi from them, it should be flashed correctly, but it wouldn't hurt to reflash it.

Will flash a new sd card tomorrow morning and see the differences.

Will update you as soon as it starts.

If you get the black+red simple setup web screen then just click on the red button "Advanced Version" to get the old more advanced tab web interface.

If it's messed up for some reason, it'll be either the wrong RPi version or a bad SD
Old quote of mine from long ago: Make sure they are Class 10 SDs Smiley

How long does it usually take to receive payout from the pool? as i still didn't receive my share of yesterdays payout but it is listed under payments on the site
Once a block is matured (101 confirmations) it goes into the queue for payment. When the next block is found, that payment is processed and sent (along with any other matured blocks waiting).

Kano does it this way to enable more efficient confirmations. What you see on the "Payments" page isn't necessarily what's been transmitted.

441517, 441552 and 441613 will transmit when the next block is found.

That help?

EDIT: Just saw fvineyard's post...same difference.  Cool

Once a block matures the payout is sent in the next block mined by our pool. That allows the payout to be sent with no transaction fee and more goes to the miners that way. The downside is we have to wait for the next block to be mined  here, but that is a small price to pay for the benefit gained.

Yeah, I saw that earlier when I was up in the middle of the night tripping over the cat...  Cry

Luckyant was there with 10PH for a bit...but I figured it was a failover, as a bit later they were back to a more "normal" number. Nice to have it when it's here, however.

My A7 is doing well, and I'm getting my anticipated 24TH.

Now I get to tear down my living room/data center one more time since I finally have the airflow figured out. Bought a pack of cheap cigarettes (I gave up smoking 35 years ago) just to do a flow test. Crap...I remember when I could buy a carton for USD$2 at the PX...now they're something like $5-8 a pack. Sheesh.

Mine on...

Wow looks like a lot of people have left the pool.  We are still at 32 PH but only because luckyant jumped in with over 11PH otherwise the pool we be down to 21PH.  I guess some people just don't have the nerves to ride out the slow periods.  Grass isn't always greener.   Shocked

As Kano has said, Luckyant is usually only on here as a fail-over. But he looks to be gone now and we are still around 33PH. You and four other miners are holding our heads up with over 1PH. Thank you very much for mining here!! Smiley

Looking at the user count, we are at 988. It has been roughly in that area for some time. It has at times in the last few months risen to over 1,000, but not that often.

When we start hitting 3-6 blocks again on an average basis, the miners will return. (But then they may have missed the lucky streak, who know.

Just wanted to say I appreciate your hash power on the pool and hope you will stick out the slow periods also. I am maxed out with my four miner at ~50TH.

Mine on!! Smiley

Your right probably just a failover.  He was there when I sent the message and the pool was only 32TH so I thought a lot had jumped ship.  Like I said earlier we don't have plans on going anywhere and even more so with Kano's position in Segwits. We will continue to hash right here not signaling support for Segwits.  I hope it fails and goes away.

Not sure what you mean, as luckyant only shows 298.58THs when I checked. Maybe my math is off?

Yeah he was there a second ago

... I didn't think the node made a difference...except to my CPU and bandwidth.  Grin
Yes it does Smiley
If you make a txn that isn't confirmed, your local node will send it out again, I think once every few hours or so ... (I'm not sure how often)
Basically the issue is that standard bitcoind has a habit of throwing away transactions after a while if they aren't white-listed.
Adding a txn via the RPC white-lists it i.e. creating the txn on your node.

If you aren't using the node for your wallet, then get the txn from your wallet:
On the wallet: bitcoin-cli getrawtransaction txnid....
and the long hex output, go to your node and:
bitcoin-cli sendrawtransaction longhex....

That's great to hear as I'm running a full node and use the Core wallet exclusively also.  Cheesy

I was going to post last night that I have never had any problems in getting my transfers confirmed no matter what fee I add. Additionally, my transfers are usually confirmed very quickly. Maybe that explains it.
Thanks for the info! Smiley
