I'd like to point out that the SG node was responsible for the second last block. In addition to it being found there, with the latest node code added to ckpool it was submitted to the local bitcoind on the SG node before the main pool did, further decreasing the chance of a block being orphaned.
This is the code kano was waiting on (me writing) before deploying these remote nodes to make it worthwhile to create remote mining locations. We may deploy one more remote location soon.

I was wondering how far I should let the price go up on NiceHash before giving it up. But I'd really like to hit the 5ND on it (poor lonely S3 looks like nothing on the graph now

I run 4 S3s and an S2...they've been doing quite well for me overall. Got two more S3s coming in a couple of days; by Apr I hope to have 15 S3s and the S2 and be popping around 8-8.5Th. Right now it's around 3T. Eventually I'll keep the S2 (sentimental value) and convert to S7s. While I will be running 15 S3s and the S2, at 8-8.5Th, I can run 4 S7s on the same power, and get over 18Th on the same amps. That's the plan, anyway. I'd rather do that, and have complete control, than rent. OTOH, BTC isn't a hobby for me...it's my only way of building some kind of retirement cushion independently of the banking system.
I think it's pretty cool that folks like yourself get a kick from BTC, and handle it responsibly. I've been around it for years, but only recently (4 mo) began actually working it. Not everyone acts responsibly. I use this pool, and CK's solo, because I have sort of "watched" their work for some time, and I have never seen any hint of impropriety...on the contrary, it has been on the side of transparency, civility, and the ability to manage something that is by definition complex and challenging.

Yeah Nicehash been jacking up the rates so definitely do not use it for Slush Pool or PPS. I was getting it for .0049, then .005 and now have to .0055 to catch a bite. I am dropping it down to .0054. Trying to extend my HASH rate over the 5ND. This works good at Kano at the current pool luck rate. I got all my investment back already, so right now it's all bonuses from here on forward. =)

I think he is working on code to switch to once a day payouts since we are getting so many blocks lol. Either way as early as 101 confirms, or a bit longer if he is ZZZ or busy doing block dances.
Nicehash is charging waaaay too much now. I can't justify more than .0050 but its at like .0055/56 lately! Crazy. But hey even at that rate it would have paid well for the rate CKPool has been finding blocks.

You should read the front page. Rewards, once matured (100 confirms) are sent out manually by Kano or his minions
