There's no real use of asking for KYC with bounty users as they are not the investors and their jurisdiction won't get involved when no money is traded.
The current KYC trend tends to be intended to check scam and spam on ICO bounties but there can be easier and more effective way to achieve that than a complete KYC.

I have recently seen where bounty hunters were asked to present identifying documents.  Am really against kyc because one of the reasons I joined crypto was the anonymity which it provides. But sadly that's gently creeping away.

Now this KYC has come into airdrops. Imagine am to submit my ID to some I don't know which planet he or she or they are from for some pennies worth tokens.

It's terrible and this is a bad precedence these people are setting.

If as a community we do not say no to this,  then it would become the norm.

It's not just a bad precedence, it's a ridiculous one. I can't believe folks are actually sending their id's to randoms on bitcointalk.

Yes, I also refuse to join airdrops that require me to reveal my identity, because once my identity is exposesd, I am no longer anonymous which goes against the reason I play cryptocurrencies.

I'm against introduction of KYC for bounty hunters. But at same time I understand that in order for cryptocurrency market to continue to grow, investments are needed and large investors will come to crypto only when there are enough tools and laws protecting their interests. One of these tools is KYC and it is likely that in future all operations with the most of of cryptocurrencies will be carried out using KYC. I think that anonymous cryptocurrencies will be banned by most States.

So why you will pass KYC to get an airdrop coins which you will sell for a couple of dollars? I think it's not worth the time, given that your documents can get into other hands. Every day there are many new airdrops that do not require KYC, why choose those where it is needed?

i dont think its proper for me to submit my details before i can get a token, anonymity is a reason why some people are into crypto. i  means most times this information can be sold on dark webs.

for a small thing you bet your whole life
for a small bonus you permit a thief to enter your house
for silly things you are too tame to lie.

do not you do KYC on airdrop, airdrop is just an illusion that is in front of you.
Forget it!

Sometimes KYC require really good projects, at least they seem to be at first glance, but the problem is that we can not know for sure who we are sending our personal data, so do not pass KYC, especially for the sake of airdrop companies.

The main feature of cryptocurrency is its anonymity. So the question is, why do we really need kyc just to receive airdrops, bounty ?
I totally agree with you, I really do not like the idea of giving my details just to get a few cents, how do I get assurance that my details will be safe and will not be used for fraud.

It is understandable to some extent when bounty participants are requested to fulfil kyc requirement but not with airdrop. Nowadays that most airdrops are just a waste of effort and nothing reasonable comes out of it. Kyc should not be required at all.

Seasoned users strongly are convinced of that KYC ain´t a reasonable system for most of the coins. These do not possess the righs of bonds and should not require of that system.

I don't like airdrop. in my opinion, this is a waste of time. But if they also ask KYC is too brazen.

It is necessary to be crazy, that would pass KYC for airdrops. This is the same thing that sell your passport for a couple of dollars. Participation in airdrops is meaningless.

The airdrops with the KYC are just ridiculous. I would never have participated in such airdrops.  Most airdrops are fraud and not worth it give them your ID.

even I do not like at all the procedure kyc nor for the airdrop nor for the bounty I do not like it in general, in my opinion goes against the principles for which they were created cryptocurency such as anonymity

I personaly against this kind of procedure even in bounty campaign they need KYC for what reason?
It is not worth to give them your information just for an airdrop. Also they might be potential scammers and just want to sell or use your informations.

I would not fill out KYC for airdrops, this is a very dubious action and maybe specially calculated in order to collect information about the participants.

I don't join any airdrop that requires KYC.. it's absurd..  even in bounty I think it's wrong to ask KYC but really for just few bucks from airdrop is crazy to ask KYC!
