Because at least, if Federico Chiesa is still at Juventus until the end of the season later, then Federico Chiesa will leave for free and that probably won't be good for Juventus either because they won't have any income. Therefore, if Federico Chiesa really still wants to play at Juventus longer, then it would be appropriate if Juventus also extended Federico Chiesa's contract at this moment. But regarding Atalanta, it looks like there is still an important match to prepare for, because Atalanta will play first in the UEFA Super Cup against Real Madrid.

Unfortunately I didn't really understand this, I'm sorry to be so polemical with the team I support, but it wasn't an intelligent operation to sell Federico Chiesa.
I'm sorry, it was also a mistake made by Thiago Motta, Federico Chiesa was injured for a long time but he has considerable qualities, he will certainly be useful in the national team.

Federico Chiesa is one of the most crystal-clear talents of Juventus and the Italian national team, this whole story around him seems to be a farce, surely there are things we don't know and will never know. I don't want to believe that Thiago Motta wants to do without Federico Chiesa, if they don't sell him this year they will be forced to put a monstrous capital loss on the balance sheet, let's remember that he was paid more than 60 million euros by Juventus. It already seems strange to me that they terminated the contract of Szczesny, who for me is one of the best goalkeepers around in Serie A. Juventus is making unclear decisions

Motta's decision not to play Chiesa in the friendly game shows he wants to do without him. But, yeah, I'm very disappointed with how Juventus did dirty to him.

Also, about the decision to terminate Szczesny's contract. This is coming from Szczesny himself. There is nothing wrong with the decision to terminate Szczesny's contract. He is 34 years old, and his wages were egregious.

We're also having Michele Di Gregorio come to our lineup, and he was the best goalkeeper last season.

Gasperini is very valuable for Atalanta. They must be happy to keep him.
~~
Atalanta knows how to make good use of its ability to retain talent and people, as you have seen Gasperini gave up much more money than Napoli to continue playing and coaching Atalanta well.
I like this team for this reason.
Gasperini has quite long experience with Atalanta and of course how he builds the team and works to try to bring Atalanta on the right path can be seen clearly, it would be shame if coach like Gasperini left the team.
But Gasperini does have contract remaining for one more season and of course many people hope that he can have contract extension and Atalanta can really maintain it for at least the next few season.
It is indeed difficult for Gasperini to bring Atalanta many championship titles, but at least Gasperini is able to work well and bring Atalanta to show various big surprises in several competitions that they participate in each season.

All hopes high for the coming 2024/2025 Serie A (Italian league). although Atlanta actually did well in the previous  season but I don't think it will happen this season, ~~~~
I think differently, you'll see you're wrong.
Agree with you, maybe this season Atalanta will be able to show much better improvement than last season.
I want to see them be able to amaze everyone, but on the other hand to compete for the championship title I am not so sure they can get it.

Let's hope that the season that is about to begin will be beautiful and fun
From my point of view I also have a further reason to see it given that the team of my heart, Atalanta, had a good season last season and I expect great things this year.
We will see.
All hopes high for the coming 2024/2025 Serie A (Italian league). although Atlanta actually did well in the previous  season but I don't think it will happen this season, they will put all their effort to be one of the top 4 in the table but I don't think that possible due to the force and confident of all this clubs (Inter Milan, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Napoli, Bologna, Lazio) who are ready for the coming season especially Napoli, so do not just put your hopes high on them before they will break it for you. We are going to known tomorrow if they are capable of winning or putting so much fears  on Real Madrid defense than the way Real Madrid will put on their defense. so if they are capable of winning them which is not 30% accurate we can put our hopes high on them of winning or competing in the upcoming Serie A season.
Atalanta has a manager they have been keeping for a long time, it is going to be a good situation without a doubt. When they did that great last season, everyone started to look at Gasperini, I mean we are going to just see him do even better with better transfer budget as well. I think they have all the rights to be in the top four this season, they are going to be in the UCL as well so that means more money, so all of this will lead to them do better.

We need to consider that they are going to be doing much better and that could be very profitable business for them. They grew gradually with smaller amount, and eventually they got here, and they need to be careful. If they keep growing and getting better than we can definitely see them get much better but if they get worse then it is going to be very hard for them to grow getting harder. So it is going to be entertaining to see their growth, and I hope that it is not going to get any worse.

2024/25 season, my prediction is that the Serie A title will be taken by Juventus from Inter Milan as the team that won the Scudetto last season.
Thiago Motta will try to give his all to Juventus with a strategy and tactics more like what was given to Bologna last season even though Motta has only played for Inter Milan and Genoa as a professional player.
Even if Motta was successful in Bologna, it doesn't mean he will easily win the Scudetto with Juventus. It is Motta's first season as Juventus manager, he needs time to adapt with everything in Juventus. I am quite doubtful if Juventus will win the Scudetto, I think Juventus only can finish in the top 3. Moreover, I don't see significant transfer in Juventus, most of the new players are average players. I only consider Douglas Luiz as their best new player, but we don't know how he will perform. Meanwhile Inter Milan, they keep their best players in the last season, they even bought some good players in the current transfer window. With the current squad of Inter Milan, I am very sure Inter Milan will dominate Serie A again and win the Scudetto.

I know that each of us has a prediction regarding which team will win the Serie A trophy this season, but Serie A has not started yet, I think giving a prediction from the start is more challenging than giving a prediction when Serie A is already running.
There is no problem to make a prediction before the new season begins. We mostly make a prediction based on the squad strength and the quality of the coach. We can analyze it before the season starts, but surely there is no good accuracy. To make a better accuracy, surely we need to see the first few matches of the teams in the early season.

I don't understand the reason for including Atletico Madrid in the list of strong teams in Serie A. In any case, I agree with you, it will be really difficult for Atalanta to return to the top four next season. The competition is absolutely fierce and the other teams want to get into the Champions League zone.
Bologna, Rome and Naples are gearing up.
Milan Inter and Juventus obviously want to enter the UCL zone. It gets difficult.

I'm sorry that he's leaving Atalanta, Gasperini had done very well in recent years, and it's no coincidence that Atalanta has proven to be a strong and fearsome team and has also won some important things.
Now he will go to the Champions League, who knows which coach he will have. Is there any news on this?

No you got me wrong. I said later in my post that he didn't want to leave Atalanta.  Smiley

After that we first heard rumours like Gasperini would leave for a PL team. But he refuted it by making a clear statement on his future.

By the way I believe Juventus still needs more transfers. I still don't feel like the current squad is good enough for winning a Serie A trophy. But I would love to see Motta surprising me.  Grin  He is a popular coach lately, let's see... But I think Inter will win a back-to-back title. They keep going on consistently with Simone Inzaghi.

Juventus is doing a lot, they are buying experimental players and even doing some stupid things (like selling Federico Chiesa, you have no idea how angry this thing made me).
So I hope that after two really bad seasons, we see a team that is alive and playing matches. Is my only hope.

Even though at this moment there are many rumors about Juventus being ready to sell Federico Chiesa, however, until now the reality is that Federico Chiesa is still at Juventus and it seems that no agreement has been reached with interested clubs. However, in fact, Federico Chiesa only has one season left on his contract at Juventus and thus, selling Federico Chiesa at this moment might still provide benefits for Juventus.

Because at least, if Federico Chiesa is still at Juventus until the end of the season later, then Federico Chiesa will leave for free and that probably won't be good for Juventus either because they won't have any income. Chiesa's performance decline was caused by Allegri's presence at Juventus during Allegri's tenure several times Chiesa was not played in important matches and was always a substitute player, this is why in the Thiago Motta era he was not on the radar of the main players and instead became a player who would be sold by Juventus, the decline in performance was not only at the club but also spread to the Italian squad yesterday, even he found it difficult to prove to his second coach, so I think Chiesa has to prove himself elsewhere if not it will be difficult later to get a club that will recruit him, and several clubs have refused the offer set by Juventus who want a sale of 9 million Euros, I hope Chiesa can rise out there and prove himself still worthy of being a scary player on the field.
Chiesa isn't a player that is "useless", but at the same time if they think that they can sell him and make some money from it, then he is not a player that they can't afford to lose, he would be good to have, but if he is sold then they won't suddenly become terrible because of him neither. This is why I believe that they are looking to sell him for a good price, if they can get a good price for him then they are going to be willing to sell him, but if they can't find anyone to pay good money for him then we are not going to see anything changing anytime soon neither.

We can't really assume that it is going to be easy to handle this sensitive issue because it takes a while for them to have something similar to what they would be asking for him, so they may not get any offers from anyone as well. This is why I think it's clear that we are going to probably see Chiesa staying. Juventus is basically just happy to keep him, happy to sell him for a lot, that's the situation.

It is like Juventus has stopped after being a little active in the transfer market. I wonder why... Maybe they aren't able to find any team to buy the players they are targeting to sell this summer?  Huh  Because in this way Juventus won't only make more money. They will get rid of useless players also. Normally I wouldn't say Chiesa is useless but I'm afraid he is also in this list.

Juventus is a situation that is actually worse than we know. They have finished the past two financial years with losses. The year before they closed with a loss of 124 million and last year which ended on July 30th, they closed with about 200 million. That means that haven't made a profit in two years.
Due to the scandals, they faced last season, their jersey sponsor, Jeep is paying less than they paid before and even Addidas is paying 6 million less than before. All these losses have made it very difficult for them to sign players without selling.
They don't have a player they can sell for a high amount and the Chiesa they wish to sell is a difficult one to sell because he has dropped in form drastically and he's injury-prone.

If they don't finish the needed transfers I doubt Motta's first season more.  Sad

Juventus have made making it past the round of 16 of the Champions League and winning the league their priority. If they're lucky they can get to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, but with their current squad, I don't see them winning the Serie A.
They have a good coach even though he's experienced, but there is only so much he can do with the current players he has.

After that we first heard rumours like Gasperini would leave for a PL team. But he refuted it by making a clear statement on his future. Atalanta is lucky to still have him after such a strong season. But I don't see them in the Serie A title race for now. It is really difficult to keep such a consistent time period against tough competitors. Especially to keep up with Inter? It is even harder.  Grin  They are going to be in the CL too so I'm curious.

In reality he chose to stay if I remember correctly, which is why Antonio Conte was chosen by Napoli. At least that's what I remember months ago, then maybe I'm wrong. The football transfer market in this hot summer window is frenetic and it is possible that he has gone away to experience new emotions.

Atalanta were great. I agree with you. Finishing the Serie A in top 4 and winning the Europa League title. These are really great achievements considering what their target normally is.  Smiley

Yes, I know, I love this team because they don't do races, but they do marathons. He doesn't push by spending more than he doesn't have. There was a period in which he was in and out of Serie B but he built a solid team little by little. Now he is taking part in the Champions League, once again, he has won a lot and is committed to building, little by little without rushing.
