I am convinced that they will want to maintain what currently exists, given that it works and certainly allows you to obtain subscriptions.
Seeing Inter Milan's success last season, of course they don't want to lose players who have contributed greatly to the club so that their performance remains consistent next season, but on the other hand, Inter Milan needs a budget to pay off its debts. If they don't sell players, how can they get money? they may be able to compete to win the title for prizes but seeing that the competition is not easy it will not guarantee that Inter will win while Milan's rivals, Juventus Napoli, are still Inter's main competitors.

You're right, but since we don't know how much the debt is, we can't draw any conclusions.  We'll see how the issue evolves.
Clearly, if the debt bubble were to burst, I don't know what could happen, at every level obviously.
The team would certainly suffer and we would underperform.
I felt sad for Inter Milan because the debt is a huge one, roughly close to $900 millions, this alone make investors to be scared because of the huge debts, Inter Milan has the highest debt in series A club.

OAKTREE TAKES OVER INTER MILAN AFTER DEBT PAYMENT FAILURE

Investment firm Oaktree Capital Management has taken ownership control of Inter Milan, one of the biggest brands in global soccer, after Inter’s owner, Suning, failed to repay a loan due this week with a balance of €395 million ($427 million based on current exchange rates).

“We recognize our responsibility to Inter Milan’s community, history and legacy,” Alejandro Cano, co-head of Europe for Oaktree’s Global Opportunities strategy, said in a statement Wednesday morning. “We are committed to the long-term success of the Nerazzurri and believe our ambitions for the club are united with those of its passionate fans in Italy and around the world. Our initial focus is operational and financial stability.”

What Juventus fans need to do is that they should not expect too much in the first season with the new coach and new players.
It wont be easy task for Motta to manage Juventus, although he could do something great with Bologna but it does not mean that he will be able to do the same thing with Juventus.
Of course it is reasonable if the fans and management want to see instant achievement, but expecting too much may give bigger regret then they may blame Motta in the first year or maybe in few matches in the new season.

I know I know, don't remind me
What worse could happen than the last two seasons?  I don't think we can do worse
so ahead everything that arrives will be good and beautiful compared to the past
so I look with extreme positivity at what can honestly happen and I'm happy this way

Getting these players would definitely improve Juventus, but I wonder about two things which would be important. First of all, are we sure that we are going to see them financially be fine? After all they had some trouble before and we wouldn't want them to have the same issue again, they should make sure that they are buying these players with the money they have and following all the rules in order to make sure that they are not getting any points deductions later on, sometimes they may even do something without realizing, not because of sinister or shady reasons, but could be for incompetence reasons.

Secondly, I also think that they should be considering how weak their bench is, they are getting good starting level players, but they are ignoring the fact that they need some players who would be great for the bench as well. They have a big schedule, and will play many games, they need to get some people who would do fine, like rotating and helping with starters getting some rest. So far, they got nobody like that, and their bench is still weak, their starting players will be awesome, but the moment they get booked or injured or tired, they will suck and will not get any good results at all.

I don't know if Juventus will have a decent season or not, the certain thing is that Thiago Motta wants to give a good boost to his career.
So he's really focused a lot on doing the best and doing his best since this is his chance to go to the top coaches of Serie A
So I repeat, this makes me understand that there is hope.

I don't know if you've followed the latest news regarding the Juventus transfer market, they've practically revolutionized the team by selling players who were certainly too many and wouldn't have done well in that team, plus Thiago Motta is arriving and seems really intent on getting to the end , this year could really be the year of the championship and the champions, in terms of opponents I would say that it will be a very competitive championship with Inter who will certainly have a good championship and Napoli too, we'll see

They have truly revolutionized a team thanks to the intervention, certainly, of Thiago Motta who will have made things clear.
With a team like the one he had he couldn't do much, in fact I'm sorry that Massimiliano Allegri was attacked so harshly.
He did what he could with what he had.

But I quite want Thiago Motta to keep the players who are in the current Juventus main squad. Because then, if later Thiago Motta managed to get good results with the players in the Allegri era, it could be proof that Juventus was right to fire Allegri and appoint Thiago Motta as the new Juventus head coach. But indeed, at least so far Juventus have just brought in two new players but at the same time Juventus have also not sold players yet at this moment.

Thus, then maybe Thiago Motta also did not completely overhaul the main Juventus squad because after all, I think Juventus already have quality players. Therefore, I really want to see the results if Thiago Motta will still use or play old Juventus players, although perhaps as time goes by there will be player sales but I am sure there will not be a complete overhaul.

I have said before that if Juventus wants to win a trophy they need to sell some players and sign another player, Juventus performance has not been that good for the past 2 seasons now, Juventus will start a season with better performance but before the end of the season you will find them in fourth or fifth place in the table of the league, I think Juventus need more players so that they can win a trophy, some players are not having a good performance and they need to leave the team during the transfer window and go and get start their career in another club.

I don?t know about the other people but I?m not enjoying Series A league anymore because there is no competition in the league again, any team that just has a good performance from the beginning will be the one that will be performing well till the end, last two seasons Napoli is the one that is leading with a point that no one can compete with them and same with inter Milan last season that they are also leading the league with a good point that no one can compete with them, I want a league that there will be a competition like laliga and premier league that two or three teams will be fighting for the title.

And you were absolutely right, the past two seasons have been truly disappointing for a team that didn't even have European cups to play.
Certainly everyone expected something more from Juventus, which obviously didn't happen at all because the team wasn't up to par. Simple reality.

If the club's decline can happen if it really happens and the title drought will happen again like where they fasted for quite a long time, when seeing their rivals dominate the League at that time and it is very clear that Inter Milan really suffered when their finances were disrupted, they could even lose their mainstay players who had been painstakingly built by Conte when Inter Milan fasted for a title for 10 years.

The debt that Inter Milan had was really very large when it was still in the hands of Zhang Kangyang and after that with the leadership of Giuseppe Marotta slowly but slowly it improved but it does not rule out the possibility that the debt that was imposed on Giuseppe Marotta was quite considerable, although regarding money matters of course Giuseppe Marotta was very smart in managing Inter Milan's expenses and was fairly strong in Inter Milan's financial sector at this time while serving as President of Inter Milan.

Milan is also having active days recently by the way. First signing Morata and now preparing to get Tammy Abraham from Roma. Morata can do a good work if Fonseca is planning to use a formation in which there are 2 strikers. Otherwise I don't think he would be much useful considering his playing style. He isn't a great finisher, he is more like a helper for the main striker.  Wink

Tammy Abraham isn't a great idea truthfully.  Sad  He couldn't play properly last season because of having a lasting injury. If Milan signs him anyway I hope they don't regret later.

If he doesn't have such injury next season then maybe we might see Morata - Abraham being a good duo on the front.

Juventus is taking the steps for consolidating the squad. Motta's arrival might really be positive unlike the people who are doubtful about him. Because he looks determined to turn this team into a stronger one like in the old days.

Transfers so far:

A lot more is going to be coming on next days surely. Because they are aiming to revolutionize the squad. There are so many players to be sold this summer as long as they find teams that are keen on paying the asked fee.

If Juventus has a good transfer window I will be expecting them to be more competitive for a Serie A trophy next season. It is hard to fight Inter till the end but not impossible.  Smiley

As an Inter fan, I sincerely hope that the new management of the Oaktree and Giuseppe Marotta manage to keep Inter strong and competitive and that they manage to remove that debt that negatively affects the decision to make new signings and not to always follow the zero-cost market line, you don't always find champions in the lists of released players

Even if Inter in a debt, they still could sign some new players. I think they still can handle the debt. I'm sure they may try to sell some players, but they will consider which players that deserve to be sold. I see that Inter Milan has big squad, they must put some players on the transfer list. It can give them Inter Milan some fresh money.

Well, many clubs are in debt recently. I just hope Inter Milan can deal with the debt very soon. If they can't handle it, they may end up like Barcelona. Barcelona is lucky because they have many talented players from their academy. But Inter Milan can't rely on their academy, so it will be a big problem if Inter Milan must have a problem with their debt for a long time.

In one of my posts I said that the problem with Italian clubs was precisely money, it was the reason why they couldn't get ahead, now that they say what Happened with Inter , that Clarifies everything, I am a person who has always said that there is money, in the world there are people who have so much money that they don't know what to spend it on, and the sponsors of the teams should take care of these debts, after all it is their brand that comes out with these Players , so I think there should be more of a sense of belonging with them, for me that is a solution.

At least, Inter Milan owner, Suning, had previously thought of several solutions regarding the debt to Oaktree Capital, and the takeover of Inter Milan by this large company was ultimately the most appropriate solution to take. This happened after Inter Milan lifted the Serie A championship trophy, but the club could not pay the 3 year loan and in the end Inter Milan was taken over by Oaktree Capital Management.
Source: Inter Milan Taken Over By Oaktree

At least, Inter have actually made a lot of signings, both paid and free transfers, and also many Inter Milan players have just returned after the end of the loan at other clubs. If we look at the list of squads to return or arrive this season, it's actually quite a lot.
Check here:
Source: Inter Milan transfer arrivals

However, not all of the arriving players are top players or are able to contribute very well. However, for one of their free transfer players from Napoli, Piotr Zieliński, this is a very valuable free transfer. He is a good player, even being one of Napoli's best Central Midfielders.

I would say that it is not really "heavily" dropped, it's just that Italy was known for their amazing defense for the past 40 or so years, and nowadays every team is defending like crazy. What this caused is that we are seeing more teams who try to defend as much as they can and then counter attack or attack quickly, outside of City who just wants to keep the ball. This means that what Italians do, can be done by others as well and that is why it is creating harder situations for them.

However, lets also remember that Italy did win once recently, but not like they were the best team in all of Europe at all times, they were good and bad time to time, inconsistent, and they are like that, they won literally one time ago, so the yare fine if you ask me.

Italy and the teams in Serie A do have the character of playing defensively, but even so, this doesn't mean they have a strong defensive line because in reality they still concede and lose quite often. So, even though they have the character of playing by relying on defense and also maximizing counter-attacks to attack, but they still fail quite often too.

So yes, there are no guarantees with that style of play because afterall, at least if they play the wrong players it is very likely that their strategy will not work well. Therefore, choosing or determining the right players to play with a defensive style of play is also something they must have too. But,  if they have more young players in the squad, then of course it would be better for them to play more aggressively because then the game will become more interesting.

Among other things, there have been at least three years in which Inter have reached the bottom of the Champions League.  If I were Oaktree I would keep everything as it is now.

Inter are not dying, Suning had a debt with Oaktree but it was not Inter who had a debt to Oaktree, this must be stressed because it is information that is circulating and it is false. Steven Zhang had contracted the loan with Oaktree but not on behalf of Inter. However I don't think Inter will sell Marcus Thuram in this market session, but I think some young players will be sold

From what I know, my dear friend, Inter fan, Inter is practically now owned by Oaktree who has confirmed everything, budget, coach, players.  So basically nothing has changed.
Inter has only changed owners, as if whoever was renting the house refers directly to the owner of the building.  Nothing to worry about in my opinion.

Inter are unfortunately in debt, a bit like all Serie A teams. It will be interesting to see what kind of market they will do these days, so far they have confirmed all the players from last season and taken Zielinsky and Taremi at zero cost, and bought Martinez from Genoa. Beppe Marotta will surely continue the line of the market at zero cost, so they will surely sell some players in these days to pay back the purchase of genoa
