Because in the right sense, before you can put it as an investment, you won't be bothered by the ups and downs of the market, but honestly who has the heart of knowing , his Bitcoin is dipping and won't have something to do about it.
So for now, it is not, so far you can't keep a dead eye to it

Besides , investments means something increase overtime ,in case of Bitcoin, you can't really say

Bitcoin is created as a currency, but the value of bitcoin that can increase so high that people want the benefits of it, and from the change in value people prefer to use bitcoin as an investment.

Indeed, there’s no doubt about it. Bitcoin will remain investment even though it is falling today. We just need to be patient enough in order to have a great profit in the near future.

I believe that Bitcoin is not an investment but we are treating it in that way on a bigger scale. The core principle of Bitcoin is all about being a payment system that is easily accessible and secure to transfer the funds. However, Bitcoin has given exponential returns since inception and now we are expecting it to repeat it once again. The early adopters decided to use their funds as a payment instrument and that made Bitcoin valuable, now it is our responsibility to do the same.

First I too believe bitcoin is an investment but many people who invested and lost there money claim that bitcoin investment is another way of gambling because they think they cannot recover there lost money which is not true at all. One main difference between a gambling and a bitcoin investment is when you put money into a gambling there are only two out comes one is win and the other one is loose all the money because the opponent party take them all but in bitcoin investments you still have the invested tokens so the investor doesn't loose everything and that is why there is still possibility to recover the lost investments

I don't know why others would disagree on bitcoin as an investment as there are a lot of people who made profit out of it. There are also those lost because maybe they have invested on the wrong time. Bitcoin is considered to be the best for investment as its price fluctuates fast, so you can either make short term or long term investment. Bitcoin is indeed an investment but I see it rather as a futuristic currency and I dont like people who buy butcoins only to sell them for profit... I see it as a revolution and I hope one day we will have free money and free speach and everybody will have the opportunity to live a worthy life. Bitcoin is meant to be the solution we shouldnt make it into another problem by abusing it for market plays and speculation... please...

i'm not agree with you, or at least half agree, it can be an investment if you hold it, but it can be fiat if you use it... If you buy one bitcoin, then join to a casino and multiply it, then cash out from the casino and sell both btc to get the cash, can we call it an investment? i don't think so, because if that's an investment, then go to casino with cash is an investment too.

We can call bitcoin anything we want to call it. We can say that bitcoin is an investment, as a currency, or anything we want, depending on how we use bitcoin. Right now, I can say that bitcoin is indeed an investment. Many people are buying bitcoin at the very low price because they see its potential that it can grow anytime from now. They think that it will give them big profit in the future.Most people take risk just to buy bitcoin and wait for it grow in the future.

Whether bitcoin is an investment or not, it's too early to say now. It would be a hasty generalization that it is since it is "liquid" and is neither a commodity nor a true currency with which you can conduct world commerce. It is very volatile too like a bubble that could burst out anytime. But yeah, in a loose sense, it could somehow be treated as a wise short-term investment wherein you can make a profit from. I honestly think that it actually depends on how its owner sees it.

bitcoin is now more accurately said to be an investment land, not a currency. it happened because of the irregularity of the state's anatr in legalizing bitcoin. if bitcoin is legal throughout the world then bitcoin status will change.

I agree that for the most people bitcoin is an investment.
For some people bitcoin is new, revolutionary product or just currency.
For different people bitcoin have very different meaning.

I think that bitcoin is an investment because it has the characteristics of an invesment. We do buy and sell bitcoins and mostly we hold it for better profit. As we invest we of course wait for the profit we might earn out of that investments just like in bitcoin.

Yes it is investment tools for now. But it is characteristics of payment method. Don't remember that.
