Just a suggestion: maybe it would be better to start from the end and keep cleaning recently/currently active threads, as majoruty from those from the beginning are abandoned now and that's something I should update on the lost, change the status from active to inactive. Unless you already cleaned the new ones and all that's left is the old spam, which wouldn't be a surprise considering the amount of reports you did in the last few days. Cheesy

Yup, this is what I did and this is how I'll continue too. Actually, I think I said that above, but maybe you did not notice it Smiley

I took them in order, from 10th page of your topic, then I took the ones from 9th page and now I am on the 8th page.

I am now at post #134 of this thread and I'll continue taking the listed topics, one by one, still in backwards order (meaning lattest first). I mean after cleaning the topic mentioned at post 134 I'll go to the one mentioned at post #132 and so on.

I'd like to continue like this until reaching page 1 of this thread. Now I am still here:

UBERSTATE is still work in progress on my side, as it's a huge thread.

I did not have too much time yesterday and today to keep working but I hope I'll resume the cleaning process starting tomorrow or Monday.

Until then, let's celebrate Christmas Smiley Merry Christmas to everyone and a special note from Santa to those keeping the forum clean!

That's exactly what I do. Over the last few days, I've been reporting at least 50-60 posts a day from those topics at the bottom of the list. The good thing is that all newbie accounts get nuked. Hopefully, this will at least complicate the bumping service a bit since they have to create new accounts in order to continue.

My reports history shows that the topic ID changes after a report has been handled by a moderator (as long as the report status is "good"). I think this is because posts aren't really deleted, but are moved to a sort of trash can, which is not accessible to regular members. I guess every topic has a corresponding, "shadow" topic ID in the database, which contains deleted posts from that topic.
Interesting, haven't noticed that at all. I guess you learn something new every day.

New thread has been added to the list, 💎ALF.Finance💎|PancakeSwap Live Now🚀|ALFGAME soon🔥|x50 potencial🚀🚀🚀. Just another useless crappy meme coin, desecrating the name of the beloved series from the 80s/90s (which I recently rewatched Cheesy). I reported all spam posts there so hopefully they get deleted soon.

Today I took care of the following threads (which are all from page 7 of this thread):

Another thread has been added to the list, making it 92nd.

[ANN] UBERSTATE — a leader in banking as a service for crypto currency!

UBERSTATE is still work in progress on my side, as it's a huge thread.

They use same account posting sequence as in Totem. tiogallluli > maurearejumb > doubmiytiri > Akoan > leshogesan > Ronald22lubukuali ( easy to be noticed on Totem page 3 and UBERSTATE page 1).

Here, the link to "UBERSTATE page 1 links to another topic though - [ANN] [ICO] JACS - Internet 3.0 Decentralized Infrastructure - which needed just a very small cleaning. Maybe bakasabo meant to link another topic...?

The rest of topics mentioned by icopress were deleted. Also, for Matic I think he forgot to add the topic... There were the only ones which needed "cleaning servies".

One more ANN thread added to the list, making it 94th.

[ANN][IEO]Axentro - An original, proof of work Blockchain for decentralised Apps

While cleaning Axentro thread, this post made me laugh Smiley

An army of newbies to fill in the thread and an administrator who on Telegram replies "fuck you." Another scam.

I've found another representative for your list. Everyone please welcome [ANN] 🌳🌳🌳Moss.earth - The world's largest environmental platform.

Another bumping service client. Everyone welcome CCM Cryptocurrency Market 'Defi' [...]

Straight out of oven - [ANN] Beatbind - HELPS CREATE THE MOST MEMORABLE MUSIC EVENTS ON EARTH!.

Here, second topic mentioned by bakasabo was also mentioned below by keyscore44.

It looks like business is booming as I found another ANN thread that probably also started using bumping service:
- [ANN] WorldToken — a unique platform that combines the best tokenomics of curren - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5312779

One more thread with bumping service. [...]
CENTUS is a new stablecoin on the Stellar blockchain - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5314951

^About this one, it say I can not access it Maybe it's from a board I have at ignore...?

One more thread that can be added to the list of projects with poor marketing:

Beatbind - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5313929

Yeah, that's how moderation on this forum (and many more) work. I was under the impression that this is what could be happening, but since I only had my own topic ID history, I couldn't really reach a conclussion. Thanks for the confirmation! I'll now have to keep on reporting each and every shitpost I see; not only the ones at patrol

If I go check the link on the report history, I see the following:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5377979.msg58778701#msg58778701  according to that, topic ID=5377979 BUT, on the original thread, the one you linked; topic ID=5375199
Weird, when I check topic with 5377979 ID, can't find anything, like it never existed, and it isn't archived either.

Uhm, maybe if someone starts cleaning some topics, s/he could mention here on which ones s/he is working...? For example, tomorrow I'll continue with the topics listed on page 7 of this thread. I am at post #134, as I said before, and I'll try to clean all mentioned between posts #121-#134.
Yep, some  coordination would be a good idea so we don't waste each others time and report posts that have been already reported.

Keep them coming!
3 new threads have been added to the list: NFTCRAFT GAME, Dogyrace and Axes Metaverse. Enjoy! Cheesy

Today I took care of the following threads:

Total reported posts: 514!

Again, fewer than yesterday and the day before, but some of these topics were huge so I had to spend a lot of time to properly see which posts need to be reported. I am now at post #134 of this thread and I'll continue taking the listed topics, one by one, still in backwards order (meaning lattest first). I mean after cleaning the topic mentioned at post 134 I'll go to the one mentioned at post #132 and so on.

Crazy effort, kudos.

Haha, thanks!

I've been kinda slacking when it comes to reporting in altcoin board, but can't just passively look you putting so much effort, so gonna reactivate as well!

Awww stop being a slacker, Rikafip Smiley

If we coordinate the efforts, maybe something can be done. From my experience, a lot of projects tend to cancel bumping service if their thread is consistently cleansed from that paid thrash. I doubt that we can run Vitor Services out of the business, but at least we could make their job much easier.

Now it also depends on each one's style of work... For example, if I start cleaning a topic, I am not doing it so only until I see the spammers stop bumping it (meaning to report only the last posts). When I work on a topic I take all its posts, one by one, from the lattest to the oldest, going though all its pages, until reaching page 1. I am doing this so, as I consider that even though the spammers stop after seeing their last posts are deleted, nevertheless, there are still old spam posts inside that topic, which need to be cleaned as well...

List has been updated with all those threads identified by @FatFork the other day. Keep 'em coming guys!

Keep them coming!

You can easily test it out on one of the threads reported by @FatFork few days ago. Yesterday all posts were deleted, but they restarted again today, doing the same thing, and they even spread on new threads like [ANN] 🎮NFTCRAFT.GAME🎮 Play-to-Earn 🔸 with ~150% APY 🔥All NFT backed by ETH🔥 and [Ann] A dog racing game based on RNG technology and built on BSC - DogyRace!.

I tried doing the test the other day, and I come with a result. I admit I was wrong, but I've also discovered the reason why.

I reported a single post in the thread you provided with a similar text to "low value post, likely bumping service". It got of course deleted, but there's a second part to it.

If I go check the link on the report history, I see the following:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5377979.msg58778701#msg58778701  according to that, topic ID=5377979 BUT, on the original thread, the one you linked; topic ID=5375199

I don't know exactly where this change comes from, but that explains why I was under the impression that the whole thread got derailed

Oh my gosh, that's really impressive! I reported a dozen today.  Smiley

Thank you and congrats! Keep reporting, padawan Smiley

Today I took care of the following threads:

Total reported posts: 706!

Indeed, way fewer than yesterday and the day before, but what dragged me down was the thread of [ANN] YFDAI |DEFI|Revolution in Decentralised Finance | Launchpad, which had 58 pages and someone already reported posts from it, thus I had to properly analyze the leftovers. And, as it had 58 pages, it was not an easy job. However, I reported 448 posts within this topic alone. At the moment, about 300 reported posts from today are still unhandled, but nothing to worry about that.

Let's hope for a more productive day tomorrow Smiley

Another ANN thread that high likely use bumping service considering it a self-moderated topic and there a lot of newbies (most of them got banned already) trying to bump it

ANN thread: [ANN]The Standard Protocol is a decentralized finance (DeFi)

Several new announcement threads  been added to the list ( and spam reported) of those that are using bumping services. Based on their M.O, it seems like they hired notorious Vitor Services which is by now a household name here on bitcointalk. Whack-a-mole game goes on..

[ANN] OUDToken - Real Green Cryptocurrency | PRE-ICO TOMORROW 🚀
[Ann] MELD- the first DeFi, non-custodial, banking protocol
[Ann] K-Base presents The Great Vault Dalí Challenge!
[ANN] IMM Global - Insurance of Market Maker

@Rikafip, there are a lot of newbies posting and bumping this thread, so it's likely that it has been using the bumping service:

ANN thread: [Ann]Game X Change-the future of game asset exchange!

Yep, another one that hired bumping. Same accounts that are active in that thread are doing the same in bunch of others as well. These are just a few examples:
[Ann] Passive income with MOONFLIGHT!
[Ann] The first blockchain marketplace for physical goods!
Ann]A decentralized crowdfunding portal for startups, entrepreneurs, businesses

Hey Rikafip, I've found a few more threads to add to your list that use bumping services:

[Ann] Studyum is a next-generation learning platform!
Buyzooka - checkout at lightning speed

All newbie accounts that have been dormant since they were created, mostly around January 23, 2018.

What's interesting about this DragonBite project that is being promoted in that post is that it has ANN here on bitcointalk, and you can see several other members of that bumping group writing there.
⚡️⚡️⚡️DragonBite ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Platform for loyalty market

2852 total reported posts today -- Hooray!

I took them in order, from 10th page of your topic, then I took the ones from 9th page and now I am on the 8th page.

To be honest I never thought I can report so many posts within a day. Fortunately, mods worked together with me, to say so, thus almost all the posts are already deleted (at the moment of writing this I have 400 unhandled posts from the ones reported today).

I intend to continue tomorrow and next days as well, take all the topics I found mentioned in your thread, cleaning them one, by one, in the order they were mentioned. Now let's hope I'll also still have time for this Smiley Wish me luck!

Hmmm, that's odd... I've always been under the impression that the threads I reported this way (reporting directly from patrol) were indeed trashed; will have to give it some more testing once I have time to check the patrol page frequently again....
You can easily test it out on one of the threads reported by @FatFork few days ago. As I said, with current rules (or to be more precise lack of), this is nothing but a whack-a-mole game in which we can't win. Sure, it can be a nice feeling seeing all that crap deleted, but more often than not I end up feeling like Sisyphus.

If only this would work... As you see in Rikafip's reply as well, this easy method (as any easy methods, generally speaking Smiley) just won't work

Rikafip, I think you missed a question I asked above:

Rikafip, all the topics mentioned in OP are still active? I'm asking to know on which one to jump next Smiley

I want to start working on other threads as well and I need your answer to prioritize them somehow...
Ah yes, sorry. All those thread identified by @FatFork were started not longer than 2 weeks ago, so they are probably still live, but from what I can see, all spam posts there have been removed already so I guess someone already did the job.

Yep, I even created topic in meta about that issue but never got an answer from mods/admins. Someone might say that it could be abused by hiring spammers to competition thread in order to get nuked, but I think even that could be sorted somehow.

Damn, crazy report spree, good job

Hihi, thanks!

Unfortunately it's the same situation with me, not enough time to be as active on the reporting scene as I used to be, especially when I see forum staff unwilling to nuke whole threads that consist of nothing but paid spam.

Yes, this is sad... this is why we have to do it post by post...

You could put something similar to "zero value post, possible bumping service", and that way, you won't have to report every individual post because the whole thread will most likely get trashed. Little tip to save some time Wink

After a long day of "report spree" I reported all the spam from the topics mentioned above by FatFork and keyscore44 -- 912 reported posts in total. Whoa Smiley Like in old good days. Sadly, I did not have so much time for making reports lately, but I believe I'll have a more free period in next days thus I'll return to my "old habits" Smiley
